Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 260: Chapter 170: Lava Assault

Actually, Alka didn’t feel he was affected by anything, nor did he notice a layer of Frost on his skin. Under the sunlight, his exterior still emitted a biting Coldness.

Juanlu watched the whole process. Even though he didn’t know what they were doing or why, he couldn’t help but admire Alka and the others. It gave him a sense of inexplicable awe.

Seeing Alka’s exterior, like an ice sculpture, Julia nodded, indicating it was done.

Only then did Alka hand the steel cable he had been carrying on his back to them, and then he took the hooked end to the edge of the spout.

Juanlu watched this scene, watching Alka approach the edge. What’s he going to do? Could it be...

An outrageous thought popped into his mind, and just as he was about to dismiss it, he saw Alka suddenly jump down.

”HEY!!!!”

Seeing Alka jump down, Juanlu couldn’t help but exclaim. He instinctively took a few steps forward, wanting to grab the steel rope tied to Alka, trying to pull him back up.

Jason, next to him, quickly stopped him. ”It’s okay, don’t be surprised. He won’t be harmed.”

Upon hearing this, Juanlu calmed down. Looking at everyone, whose faces showed no concern, he couldn’t help but lean towards the edge to look down.

Alka glided along the steel cable in an arc, heading towards the middle of the magma. With the magma splattering, Alka also plunged into it. A large amount of white steam rose upwards, obstructing everyone’s view.

A halo appeared behind Julia. Several bandages shot out, segmentally wrapping around the steel cable that had slid down. Chadite and Jason also grabbed the tail end of the steel cable, ready to pull back at any moment. Seeing this, Juanlu instinctively grasped the segment in front of him, his gaze never once leaving the magma.

At this moment, Alka fell into the magma. He didn’t feel any resistance in the fall, as if entering a somewhat viscous lake. This seemed different from the magma I know, more like... more like Energy liquid? Or something similar. He didn’t quite understand but sensed the surrounding temperature rapidly rising. Fortunately, he had landed in a pre-scouted spot, and the target was directly below.

Controlling his body, he sank deeper.

The further down he went, the greater the resistance he felt. The top still felt like a viscous liquid, but below, it felt like sinking into a swamp, enveloped as if by thick mud.

The heat increased, and the blue Frost coating on his body began to flash dimly. If only I could see.

Alka finally touched something distinctly different from the magma. He was now relying entirely on the silver ripple scan for awareness of his surroundings. Upon touching it, he quickly lifted it and supported it.

He could feel the Frost coating was about to disappear, and the temperature Isolation was soon to fail. By then, I’ll directly touch this absurdly high-temperature magma with my body and become cooked alive.

The steel cable wasn’t dragged into the magma with him but was left above it. Julia would use the bandages to control it, preventing the steel cable from dropping and adjusting the angle so Alka could grab it at any moment. Suspended above, it could withstand the magma’s heat, but not the temperature if submerged.

Sinking down had been relatively easy. Now, lifting a metallic box upwards proved exceedingly difficult, like struggling in a swamp to stay alive.

Finally, he felt the burning, although the Frost coating hadn’t completely retreated. But it’s close. If I don’t hurry up, once this body is touched, it could likely die. Then it would reset to the original. At that time, I’d have to use my last resort; after all, I have no intention of joking with my life.

Finally, when his skin felt burnt, one hand first reached out of the magma, Magic Power spreading forth. Then he lifted the box up high. The thick, liquid-like Energy magma slid off from the sides.

With the Magic Power spread out, the hook on the steel cable was controlled, immediately ejecting several strands that wrapped around the metallic box, firmly locking onto it.

Feeling the steel cable sink slightly, the others, who had already planned for this, immediately began to yank back with force.

Alka was already burning. His skin was immediately damaged; oil and flesh began to boil. His clothing had merged with his skin, and his temperature was rising fast. Finally feeling the pull from above, Alka, along with the metallic box, was yanked up.

At this moment, Alka, now in the air, had his exterior completely melted and distorted, looking incredibly eerie. Even flames burned on his body.

Seeing this, Juanlu was stunned; he felt at a loss. I’ve never seen such a scene.

”Can these injuries be healed?” he couldn’t help but ask. It feels like surviving alone would be fortunate.

”No need to heal.”

What! Directly giving up? He was a little shocked.

And as Jason finished speaking, Alka and the metallic box were pulled up to the ground.

As if by a refresh, the shredded clothing on Alka’s body, the completely burnt skin and flesh, and the completely burnt hair all reappeared.

He stood perfectly intact on the ground, just as when he had jumped down.
