Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 187: Chapter 145 3 Spirals Achieved_3

”No, no.”

He muttered, seemingly denying his own words.

His figure suddenly appeared at the edge of the bubble. He poked his head out, but he couldn’t pass through and was knocked back.

Did this confirm something for him?

He squinted and came to stand before Alka.

”Alka?”

Alka looked at him and nodded slightly.

”Is it really you?”

His expression shifted from surprise to sudden rage, and he charged furiously.

He opened his mouth and cursed, ”You little bastard! Why the hell did you become a Toucher? Why didn’t you just stay obediently on the Island?

”You just had to become a Treasure Hunter! When you were young, I never should have let you play those Treasure Hunter games. If I’d known it would come to this, I’d have beaten you until you couldn’t get out of bed!”

”...”

Listening to his father’s tirade, Alka took a few steps back and stopped, not interrupting him.

This was also a process of gathering information.

The tone of the cursing, the intermingled phrases, and some of his habits almost perfectly matched his memories.

This finally confirmed to Alka that the man before him was indeed the father of his original self.

He quietly waited for his father to tire himself out.

”HUFF... HUFF...” After a good while, he was panting heavily and sat down on the ground.

Looking at Alka, he asked, ”How did you enter the Dream Realm and come here... Alright, that’s not important.”

”Listen to me. You shouldn’t face that bastard Jack directly. I know you want to save your captain—is he your father-in-law? I could see his daughter when Jack was controlling my body. She’s indeed quite pretty. You have good taste, kid...

”Okay, okay, where was I? Right... you want to save Andre. On Harvest Day, I will seize control of the body and do my best to free him. Isn’t there a Fisherman on your ship? Have him come for support...

”Oh, right, we have a Big-headed Fishman here.”

”It’s a Hammerhead Sharkman,” Alka quietly corrected.

The air instantly grew still.

”Don’t I know that? You little bastard, correcting me! Don’t interrupt when I’m talking!”

”That Hammerhead Sharkman, he...”

Alka listened quietly as his father relayed intelligence.

After he finished speaking, Alka finally said, ”I don’t want to escape. I want to take him down.”

”Hmm?”

”No, I mean take Jack down.”

”Hmm.”

Sifus nodded, looking at Alka quietly, clearly expecting a reason.

”I’ve acquired a Treasure, my strength has reached Three Spirals, and I’ve teamed up with the Church. They’ll act with me.”

His meaning was clear: he was expressing that he possessed the basic conditions to achieve his goal and wanted Sifus to provide more intelligence.

Listening to Alka, Sifus clasped his hands, rested them on his head, and began to think.

After a while, he raised his head and gave Alka a deep look.

”You’ve grown up. But it’s still not enough, because you’re destined to die.”

”What do you mean?”

As soon as Alka finished speaking, he seemed to realize something. He raised his left arm, looking at the chain on its inner side.

”Worthy of being my son. Yes, that’s what you’re seeing.”

”That son of a bitch! Before he left, he etched this chain on your hand. It has two functions.

”One, it allows him to successfully take over your body, perfectly occupying it. This comes from a Spell Secret Technique, and he even used a Treasure to etch it back then.

”Two, it allows you to take a fatal blow for him. If he suffers a fatal injury, he’ll transfer that damage to you, making you bear it.

”So, do you understand? You can’t do anything to him unless you find a way to remove this chain or find a way to make yourself unkillable.

”Otherwise...”

Hearing his father’s words, Alka looked at his own arm.

This chain was actually etched using a Treasure?

It could even allow me to take a fatal blow for him? Lucilia had been right about that.

Alka frowned, thought for a moment, then looked at his father and said, ”Maybe it’s not so bad. My Treasure might be able to block this death.”

”Don’t worry. That bastard is useless in the Dream Realm. I’ve already gained control of the Dream Realm; that’s how I’ve been able to fight him until now.”

He easily understood what Alka meant.

Alka nodded and explained this ability of his False Body.

Sifus furrowed his brow, thought for a moment, and then said, ”You can try. I’ll tell you about a Curse. Keep it in mind, and test it when you return.”

”The principle of this Curse is essentially the same as the chain on your hand. It’s just much, much weaker in comparison. However, if your False Body can bear this weaker Curse as a substitute, then it can certainly bear the chain’s Curse as well.”

With that, Sifus imparted the elements and method of the Curse to Alka.

”While I have the chance, I have to tell you everything: his abilities, and the capabilities and strength of the people on his ship.

”After that, don’t come back. If the Curse can be endured, then keep the appointment; I’ll know what to do.

”If you don’t keep the appointment, it means the Curse cannot be substituted, so you mustn’t come here again.

”I will hold on until the moment you truly face Jack.”

Alka nodded; he understood his father’s concern.

”And one more thing, you must remember this well: it’s all about that bastard Jack’s Treasure.

”His Treasure doesn’t actually offer much advantage in direct combat. It’s more for developing his forces and growing his power.

”That’s why he’s so secretive about it.”
