Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 164: Chapter 138: Dream Catcher’s Dream World

”What’s that thing you just put on? Aren’t you afraid it might bring some bad consequences?”

When Pororo woke up, he saw the Brass Arm on Alka’s hand and could tell from Alka’s expression that he had obviously put it on himself. Pororo couldn’t help but speak from the side. ”That thing fell off that enormous Evil Spirit just now! Even if it was purified by the Holy Fire, you shouldn’t be so reckless.”

Hearing Pororo’s words, Alka looked up at him, smiling, and said, ”You’re awake. It’s okay. The Holy Mother simply used my hand to purify it, transforming it back into a normal Holy Artifact. When I touched this Holy Artifact, I made an agreement with its previous owner. As long as I return it when I am able, I can use it.”

Even though I don’t get what he’s saying, if there’s no danger, then it’s fine, Pororo thought.

”So what exactly is this thing?” Pororo asked curiously from the side.

Alka raised his right hand and waved it in front of Pororo, explaining, ”This thing allows me to become an Artifact Forger. I’ve already tried it out. If any of you need help with something, I’ll do it for free.”

After all, we obtained this together, Alka thought. Since only I can use it now, I should naturally compensate them in other ways.

Hearing Alka’s words, Pororo waved his hand, his interest immediately fading as he showed a lack of enthusiasm. He always preferred to fight enemies head-on with his physical strength and had little need for various Magic Tools.

”Then can you make a humidifier for me?” Julia, hearing Alka’s previous words, asked from the side.

”Humidifier?” Alka was a bit puzzled, then thought of Julia’s race and nodded. ”No problem, I’ll make one for you when I have time.”

”Thank you.”

Hearing this, Pororo’s disdain vanished, and he said with a bright smile, ”Then make one for me too.”

”Sure, no problem.”

For marine races like them, spending long periods on land inevitably led to dry skin, which naturally caused some discomfort.

But before that, I have important business to attend to, Alka thought.

Thinking about this, Alka directly took out a gold ingot from his Pocket Ring, along with some Gemstones and Jade Blocks. Fortunately, back when they discovered those treasures, Alka had chosen some valuable, easily portable items and stuffed them into his Pocket Ring. Over the past six months, while Alka and his companions were uncovering so many blue treasure points, they had often obtained additional treasures as well. These were very valuable ordinary items, such as precious sculptures, gold and silver jewelry, gold ingots, and the like. However, it was impossible to stuff all these items into the Pocket Ring, so Alka would select only the most suitable ones to place inside. For example, easily portable items like Golden Sails, Silver Snakes, gold ingots, and jewelry. But such items were ultimately few in number. The majority consisted of large, hard-to-carry sculptures or valuable decorative treasures. You couldn’t expect him to stuff items like those into the Pocket Ring as well.

But now, it’s time for these treasures to serve their purpose.

The reason he was taking out these materials was, naturally, because he needed them to craft a key capable of opening the Treasure Chest. The knowledge imparted by the Grey-robed Sage, Foster Fort, included instructions on how to craft this very key.

Whether Foster Fort had provided this information intentionally wasn’t his concern, Alka mused. It wasn’t as if he wouldn’t use it just because it was intentionally given; that was out of the question.

Gripping the gold ingot in his right hand, Magic Power began to conduct into the Hand of Precision. The patterns on its palm started to glow, and the gold ingot in his hand rapidly melted, transforming into a golden liquid that floated above his palm. Alka set the floating golden liquid aside. The golden liquid remained suspended, not falling even when Alka moved his hand away.

Next, he used a similar method to liquefy some silver. Controlling the Magic Power with his right hand, it formed invisible lines that began to guide the two liquids to merge. The golden and silver liquids began to rotate above his palm, slowly merging. However, they didn’t fuse completely. Instead, they formed streams that intertwined like threads of yarn, weaving together into a single cord. A Jade Block was cut as it floated over, and rubies and sapphires were polished mid-air. These too were tossed into the intertwining liquids.

Then, the mixture began to solidify and take shape. The entire process took less than half an hour.

A key appeared in Alka’s palm.

It was formed from four overlapping layers of gold and silver, with jade for the final edging. Strips of variously sized red and blue gemstones were inlaid on the front and back of the grip. It looked more like a decorative ornament than an actual key, and didn’t appear particularly special either. But only Alka, its creator, knew the marvels it contained. The Treasure Chest wasn’t opened by a mechanical device, but rather through the detection of a specific metallic arrangement. He didn’t quite understand it himself, but that was the gist of it, Alka thought.

Alka placed the Treasure Chest on his thigh, suppressing his emotions, and slowly inserted the key into the keyhole.

Pororo and Julia, not understanding what was happening, watched from the sides without any visible change in expression. In their eyes, there was only ordinary curiosity.

Even Chadite appeared calm, though if one didn’t notice her right hand, hidden between her thighs, clenched tightly into a fist.
