Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 169: Chapter 139 Everyone’s Dream_3

His memory still lingered on the moment he was enveloped by the pink mist. He could feel himself falling asleep but didn’t know why.

”This is the Dream Catcher, a Treasure. A ’Holy Grail’-level Treasure,” Alka said without reservation.

Upon hearing this, Pororo shot up, visibly shocked.

”A Treasure! You possess a Treasure! Does that mean we can leave this cursed place?”

Hearing Pororo’s words, Alka looked at him with a strange expression. Is that the first thing he’s focusing on?Shouldn’t he be concerned about me having a Treasure?

However, he still said, ”Since we possess the Treasure, we can try to rescue Andre. If it’s feasible, then...”

Alka didn’t finish his sentence, but they both knew what he meant. Having a Treasure meant having the capital to oppose his father, fulfilling the most basic condition.

Chadite reminded from the side, ”We don’t know what Treasure is in your father’s possession.”

Alka nodded, ”I know. So, we can gather some intelligence.” As he spoke, he touched the Crystal Ball floating in front of him. ”It will help us.”

With certain linguistic techniques and a bit more time, one could extract words in dreams that people were unwilling to say.

”What’s the ability of this Treasure? Is it that pink mist from just now?” Pororo asked curiously from the side. After all, it was a Treasure right in front of them; who could resist their curiosity?

Regarding the ability of this Treasure, Alka stated directly, ”It’s related to the Dream Realm. As for what specific abilities it can display, I haven’t tested them yet. Trying is the only way to know.”

”However, the effect just now can indeed be controlled to give you a pleasant dream. Does anyone here suffer from insomnia?”

Pororo waved his hand, ”If I suffered from insomnia, I would definitely ask for your help.”

Alka looked at the Crystal Ball in his hand. He returned to the main topic. ”Although this Treasure is now under my control, it was ultimately obtained through our collective actions. If we calculate contributions based on normal Treasure hunting, I contributed the most.”

”If you need me to use this Treasure to help you with something, I won’t refuse. Correspondingly, if possible in the future, I will also seek suitable Treasures for you.”

Chadite didn’t speak. She had long known this was a Treasure and was also aware of some of Alka’s peculiarities. If they continued Treasure hunting, such opportunities would definitely arise again.

Julia also remained silent. This situation wasn’t suitable for her to speak, especially considering she had only been part of this team for just over ten days. And the Treasure wasn’t something she felt she could lay claim to.

Pororo, sitting on the rubble, looked at Alka and shook his head, saying, ”Although I’m glad to hear you say that, I know clearly that obtaining this Treasure is solely your achievement. I was, at most, just a laborer for an afternoon.”

Over the past half-year, Pororo had become aware of some of Alka’s unique aspects. Frankly, obtaining this Treasure was almost entirely Alka’s doing; he himself had only contributed some minor effort. But that kind of effort could have been offered by anyone; it didn’t necessarily have to be him. There was nothing particularly praiseworthy about it. Most—no, almost ninety percent—of the credit for acquiring the Treasure had to go to Alka himself, to his incomprehensible Treasure-hunting intuition. As for himself, anyone could have replaced the effort he put in. Chadite possessed map-drawing abilities, and Lucilia had her unparalleled knowledge. He had no right to voice an opinion on the Treasure’s ownership. Alka’s words alone were enough to please him.

”Besides, Treasures aren’t that easy to come by. Don’t lose yourself over this single success.” Pororo then asked Alka, ”You may have extraordinary Treasure-hunting intuition, but can you really find Treasures as if it were child’s play?”

Pororo didn’t believe it.

Upon hearing this, Alka smiled at him. ”Perhaps. Maybe someday I’ll surprise you.”

Still, with this Dreamcatcher Crystal, if any of their friends or acquaintances wanted to become a participant, it would be much easier. This was already a very nice perk.

”We’ve gained so much this time. It’s time to return to the ship. Our next step should be to consider how to rescue Andre.”

Everyone nodded, got up, and started to head out.

Julia walked silently at the back of the group.

Alka slowed his pace, gradually drawing parallel with Julia.

”I heard about your story from Lucilia. You and she come from the same place. If you don’t mind, you can join us in our future endeavors. I promised Lucilia that if I become capable enough, I will definitely help her return to her homeland for a visit, and we already have a lead.”

Julia turned her head to look at him. Lucilia had said similar things before. But now, with the backing of a Treasure, she believed there were more opportunities, so she nodded.

Alka sped up again, simultaneously controlling the Dream Catcher in his hand and starting to familiarize himself with its abilities.

A faint pink mist once again surged out, wrapping around Alka. When he was fully enveloped, Alka vanished directly in front of everyone.

”Can you see me now?”

”No. Did you turn invisible?” Chadite, walking beside him, waved her hand where Alka had just been, but there was nothing there.

The pink mist surrounding Alka returned to the Crystal Ball, and his figure reappeared before them.

”Interesting. Although it’s not true Invisibility, the effect it produces is the same.”

When the pink mist fully enveloped him, he could drag his own existence into the Dream Realm. Then, he could leave a version of himself from the Dream Realm paused in reality, thus achieving an effect similar to Invisibility. However, he couldn’t drag the physical bodies of others into the Dream Realm. Perhaps his strength wasn’t sufficient, or maybe the Treasure itself didn’t have that capability.

Currently, the Dream Catcher allowed him to do things like roam freely in the Dream Realm, cause others to fall into Deep Sleep and dream, and exchange his real body with an Illusion Body from the Dream Realm. As for what effects these abilities could achieve and what role they might play, that would depend on Alka’s own ingenuity. The functions provided by the Treasure were both simple and powerful; it all depended on how he utilized them.

Just a simple experiment had granted him the powerful ability of Invisibility. Moreover, the Dream Realm itself was a very peculiar dimension, one whose characteristics Alka would need to study carefully.
