From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 786: Chapter 6: Shift in Public Opinion! Premier League’s Top Salary? Chelsea Showdown at Wembley! Beatles Songs at Wembley_3

Wenger looked up after hearing this and asked, “Were the amounts calculated for this aspect last season? How much can he earn?”

“7.43 million Pounds.”

Little Kroenke turned around and smiled, “I took a special look today. The main part of the contract includes jersey and peripheral sales, and his share from this is 8%.

“As for the special edition jerseys and small peripherals with a 50% profit share signed with Hillwood and you, although the sales are quite impressive, because they were released late, most of the sales are counted in this season.”

Wenger’s expression of shock turned into a smile of admiration, “I’ve never coached a player with such strong money-making abilities; neither Henry nor Bergkamp could do it.”

“He’s truly revolutionary.”

Little Kroenke laughed in agreement, his affection for Ma’el growing ever more. Remembering something, he suggested, “The salary raise contract negotiations are about to begin; why not give him this portion of income first?”

This share was originally scheduled to be settled at the end of the third quarter, at the end of September.

He wanted to settle it early, naturally hoping that this exceptional behavior towards the player could garner goodwill and create a more friendly negotiation environment.

“Sure.”

Wenger nodded in agreement but still reminded, “After our analysis, we believe Mendes won’t propose extending the contract to five years this time. He’ll stick to the current four-year contract, only demanding a substantial pay and bonus increase.

“With everything they have now, they indeed have the leverage to make such demands from the club.”

“And we must accommodate.” Little Kroenke added with a bitter laugh, shrugging, “Right?”

In a situation where other players are receiving major raises, it’s impossible for the key figure, Ma’el, not to have an increase in salary.

Otherwise, should there be any discord with the player and agent, the club’s rapid development might anytime be affected, possibly even halting or regressing.

Mendes undoubtedly knows this, so he definitely won’t extend the contract.

Moreover, given Ma’el’s current value, to sign him for the full five-year term, the cost wouldn’t just be a maximum salary.

Wenger also smiled but not grimly, “Yes, fortunately, we were mentally prepared for this long ago.”

Little Kroenke, resting his chin on his hand, thought for a moment and said, “What can be confirmed is the Premier League’s highest salary, surpassing Tevez’s 250,000 Pounds. But whether it stays around 300,000 or above depends on the final negotiation.”

Wenger nodded, turning his head to look elsewhere, recalling that when he first came here, the players’ maximum salary was only around 30,000 to 40,000 Pounds.

Who would’ve thought that over these ten years, the maximum salary is nearing 300,000 Pounds… However this time, he’s not a bystander, the one who is about to receive the Premier League’s highest salary is an Arsenal player.

…

On August 9th, three days remained until the start of the Community Shield Cup.

At the training ground near his home, during a Fancy Techniques training session, Ma’el looked at his watch and found there was one hour left until the scheduled contract signing with the Procter & Gamble Company.

“Boom… Boom… Boom…!”

He sped up his footwork, trying to complete the remaining points of Skill Level for ‘Fancy Techniques’ in this afternoon’s training round and achieve an upgrade.

At first, his mind was a bit chaotic, and the practice results were average. Midway he realized haste makes waste, calmed down again, and meticulously completed each training move.

This should be the last skill upgradeable before the Community Shield Cup finals. The rest will have to be gradually improved after the Premier League season begins.

“Pop…..!”

During a ball-stopping exercise, he bent his body back, steadily cushioning the ball against his right chest, then adjusted his body with a slight shock, bounced the ball in front, and executed a swift double change of direction with his right foot in the air, catching up with his body before the ball landed.

It was at this moment that he felt another change in his body.

[Skills: Fancy Techniques lv3]

[Skill Level: (1/1500)]

[Utility: After improving the integration between you and the ball, you seem to have mastered all the fancy techniques, although many skills are just superficial, still far from true mastery!]

Upgraded!

One step away from Four Stars fancy!

Now, he couldn’t claim to have Ronaldinho’s elegant style, but he at least had some of Neymar Jr.’s peak ability to toy with defenders.

Furthermore, practicing this skill is not just for style; in certain small scenarios, it can help him unexpectedly break through situations.

He wouldn’t delete this Additional Skill from his training program; he must continue practicing until it reaches Level 4, helping him achieve a complete Four Stars fancy!

“Bang!”

Ma’el gleefully shot the ball into the small five-a-side goal in the distance, hurriedly ran back home, quickly washed up and changed clothes, then drove his Ferrari to the agreed location.

During the process, he glanced at the Skill Level panel and found that the Skill Level for Dipping Shot and Long Pass had both surpassed 1000.

The next two skills to be upgraded are definitely these two.

By then, he would have three Level 5 skills, ushering in a significant boost!

“Vroom…!” With the sound of the engine, he headed toward the city center of London to meet with Mendes, and together they entered a high-end restaurant.

More than an hour later, the two walked out together, their faces beaming with satisfaction.

All three brands under the Procter & Gamble Company successfully signed contracts, with a final deal price of 9 million Pounds for one year, totaling 27 million Pounds for three years!

These three brands all increased the deal price, but each offered slightly lower bonus contracts, which together barely exceeded the bonus contracts of Dior and two other companies.
