From Arsenal to the Ball God

”There is some room for flexibility in tax matters, and it can support you in accomplishing many things.”

Mael nodded, finalizing the matter, ”Then let’s register a ’Mael’ company, and also register a sports business marketing company, which will be held and invested in by the ’Mael’ company.”

”The shares in ’Football Record’ and Instagram, as well as the potential future shares in Facebook, will also be transferred under ’Mael’ company, using this company to manage all my assets.”

Mendes’ eyes lit up slightly, and he smiled, ”I vote in favor, it’s a very good idea, in the future, your team can also use this company for acquisitions.”

”Haha...” The two laughed together, this was something they’d discussed a long time ago.

”Have you calculated the current wealth you own?” Mendes turned his head curiously. He was almost the one who knew Mael’s wealth composition the best; he could figure it out himself, so he didn’t shy away from this topic.

”More or less.”

Mael nodded. After buying a house at the end of last season and collecting the remaining championship bonuses, his assets were roughly around 14-15 million pounds.

After the European Cup, he received a tax-free bonus of 3.6 million pounds from Puma, and a total tax-free bonus of 4.05 million pounds from Louis Vuitton and Pepsi, along with his salary from Arsenal, making his bank account approximately 22.5 million pounds.

But these don’t yet include the quarterly settlements from shoe sales shares, Arsenal merchandise sales shares, and the soon-to-be-signed endorsements and advertising revenues.

All in all, do you think it might be close to 50 million pounds?

”A half-billion-pound millionaire?” Mael joked with Mendes, ”I don’t know the exact details; I’ll know once I become a ’billion-pound gentleman.’”

Mendes smiled without saying a word, looking forward, the LVTH headquarters was almost there.

Mael then saw a grand and exquisitely designed European classical building, standing majestically and luxuriously at the corner of the crossroads.

Walking a bit further, a group of people was already waiting for them at the main entrance, including employees from the company and media reporters they had invited.

”Click click!”

Mael walked into the LV Building amidst the rapid flashing of cameras, which he was long used to; no matter how brightly they flashed, he never blinked, able to capture every photo-op moment.

”Welcome.....!”

”We are honored to have you here.”

”We look forward to strengthening our cooperation with you!”

Amidst the chaotic voices, he and Mendes were led to the fourth floor of the administrative building by two senior executives, arriving in a hall shimmering with luxurious golden light.

In front of a display filled with Dior perfumes, an elderly man in a black turtleneck sweater, with a smiling face, waved at the two of them.

”Bernard Arnault, it’s a pleasure to meet both of you here. Recently, the world’s eyes have been on you.”

Arnault walked up proactively, behaving humbly, but his identity as a top billionaire still brought him a bit of an imposing aura, ”I have also watched all the France team’s European Cup matches and was impressed with Mael.”

Mael first stepped forward to shake hands with him, and the first impression Arnault left him was his incredibly white teeth.

After Mendes and he completed the social etiquette, he led the two to tour the Dior display, ”I reached a cooperation with this perfume company at the end of the 20th century; it has become a part of me.

”This cooperation idea is based on our successful collaboration with the Louis Vuitton brand, and Mael’s great success with women’s products like Olay.”

He briefly explained the motivation, then smiled and said, ”I also believe this won’t be our last cooperation; we have high hopes for Mael’s future development in the luxury goods sector.

”People call him the 18-year-old French supercar, doesn’t that symbolize high-end and luxury in some way?”

Mael and Mendes smiled; it might be Arnault’s polite words. Indeed, they performed well in every market field, and luxury would certainly be no exception.

After introducing for a while, Arnault led the two towards the banquet hall for the dinner, where a small celebration was prepared for their cooperation signing.

Mael soon arrived at a place shimmering with colorful atmosphere lights, with some light music playing, as if attending a wedding banquet or a party gathering.

He had a premonition, as he became more famous, such events would certainly increase.

However, he would definitely exercise some control to prevent it from affecting his physical condition and training schedule.

After taking their seats, they began dining, sipping LVMH’s own group’s red wine. Everyone chatted and laughed, soon boosting the atmosphere.

”Clang.....!”

After another toast, Arnault revealed his thoughts to the two, ”As a French brand, LV rarely has French international spokespersons; in recent years, we have been mainly cooperating with American celebrities and stars from other countries.

”I hope this cooperation, which can no longer be considered the beginning, is a good start.

”I have always believed Mael is our potential and one of the few domestic international spokesperson candidates. He has the opportunity to join hands with LV to reach a broader future and become the pride of France.”

Mael drank a small glass of red wine and raised an eyebrow with a smile, ”When the time is right, it certainly will be; this will be our common goal.”

”I heard the Procter & Gamble Company is also considering Mael. Have you been in contact?” Arnault brought up a new topic, possibly also hinting at some information.
