Chapter 781: Chapter 5: The Final Moments of the Transfer! London City Looks Far Ahead! New Season Transfermarkt Market Value Updated for the First Time!

Podolski drove his gray Ferrari F430, with Cazorla in tow, anticipating this short afternoon getaway, which promised to be a delightful experience.

Bale, on the other hand, was in his Lamborghini, with teammate Ramsey, the two chatting quietly.

“Vroom vroom vroom…..!” Ma’el soon arrived in his brand-new red Ferrari 458, pulling along Thiago Silva, the new team member.

As for his F430, he handed it over to Gilbert to drive, carrying Joao Pereira.

Van Persie, Lloris, and Giroud took an Audi driven by a club chauffeur, following the group.

“Let’s go…!”

At Ma’el’s call, everyone smiled and followed him, parading through the city, swiftly arriving by the Thames River, crossing the Tower Bridge.

“Vroom vroom vroom…!”

“Oh wow…! Come on…!”

The roar of the engines mingled with the players’ joyful shouts, everyone cherishing the event, hoping it would bring them closer together.

Soon, they slowly exited the city, heading towards a nearby high point, Primrose Hill.

As the sun set, the group reached the tranquil and scenic hills, parked their cars, and walked along the tarmac road, observing the full view of London through the branches.

“This is a city that captivates; it also boasts the best football scene in the world.”

Compared to last year when Van Persie introduced it, this year, it was Ma’el’s turn to introduce, “Living here feels good, especially when you’re performing well on the field.

“Fans treat you like a deity, giving you the treatment of a king or ruler, making you feel unprecedented passion.

“As for everything else, I can’t say. If you’re interested in passionate London girls, Van Persie can enlighten you, not me; my girlfriend is from Sheffield.”

“Haha…..!” Everyone laughed together as they continued their banter, resembling an outdoor trip group.

“Van Persie!”

“Is that Ma’el? Oh my God!”

Many elderly couples and young lovers sitting on the lawn soon noticed the group, running over excitedly for photos, and others beamed with delight upon seeing Bale among them.

“Passionate London girls, there are too many to count.”

Once the fans departed, Van Persie began giving a lesson to the eager eyes of the group, “But as long as you frequently attend parties, each of you worth tens of millions of Euros, surely there’s no fear of lacking admirers?”

“What if you don’t like parties?” Thiago Silva asked with a smile, being a disciplined person.

“Simple.” Van Persie pointed at him, “As long as you make your mark in London, you’ll effortlessly gain admirers in daily life; even just walking down the street gets you noticed.

“I remember back when I first joined the club, going out shopping with Klich one day, in just a few hours, 13 girls asked to connect on social media with me, staying in touch.

“Oh right, only 3 people added Klich, which is a mere fraction.

“That’s why I suspect Klich went to Manchester City. His self-esteem must have taken a hit.”

“Haha…..!” This narcissistic joke made everyone laugh again, Ramsey, unable to take it anymore, frowned and said, “I recall hearing another version, that one afternoon 32 approached Ma’el, and 4 came for you?”

Van Persie’s face turned green, and even Gilbert’s beside him didn’t look pleased, seemingly recalling some ‘painful’ memories on Cherry Street.

The group strolled leisurely and soon reached a high point, where they either sat or lay on the grass.

“Ma’el.”

Van Persie suddenly felt bold, turning to ask Ma’el, “Last year, do you remember what you said around this time?”

“I remember.” Ma’el, reminded of the memory, smiled and said, “This is a city of football; nothing else compares; being the London Ball King is truly worth boasting about.”

“Did you succeed?” Portuguese defender Joao Pereira asked a silly question, and even he laughed after asking.

“Of course.”

Ma’el looked at the grass beneath his feet, the dense forest ahead, and the distant international city of London, feeling a sense of open ambition, “Who would deny it? Right now, I am the London Ball King.”

“Hush…..!” His statement drew teasing shushes, though no one actually argued.

They looked at Ma’el’s back, recalling the goal he set last year on this day, and comparing it to everything he now possesses… they genuinely felt he was extraordinary, saying London player seemed a bit modest.

“What’s a London Ball King?”

A group of grown men together couldn’t help but play around boisterously, Ma’el pointing far, laughing, “Just wait, next year, the year after, I’ll become the world’s Ball King.

“People won’t be singing Sean Long, or Graham, nor Aguero, or Suarez, but Ronaldo, Messi… Watch out, Ma’el is catching up from behind!”

“Hahaha…..!” Everyone laughed even louder, some cheered along, whistling, “Yeah…. Xuxu~~!!”

“If not a London Ball King, then a world Ball King, so what Ball King am I?”

Van Persie pretended to be jealous, then remembering something, smiled, patting his chest, “I’ve got it, I’m the people’s Ball King!”
