From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Yesterday I asked, the company’s annual profits since 2010 have reached 1.8 to 2.15 million pounds, with an estimated valuation of between 12 to 15 million pounds.”

Ma’el told Mendes about the approximate value of the company and then smiled, ”She said she wanted to give it to me as a gift, but we’re not married, so how could I accept such an expensive gift empty-handed.”

”I will buy most of her shares and then merge it into Ma’er Company, running it together with her.

”Anyway, investments in the sports industry are always worthwhile for me, and it’s almost impossible to lose money. I can support it.”

Mendes nodded with a smile, indicating he understood, and then said, ”She’s really good to you, and you’re doing well. Actually, as long as she’s willing to merge the company, that’s the best gift she could give you.”

”I think so too.” Ma’el and Mendes were always on the same wavelength, able to understand each other.

”I’ll handle communication with Puma, you just focus on preparing for other things.”

Understanding Ma’el’s intention, Mendes took over the matter, then teased, ”I hope you two can reach a great partnership, and hopefully, it turns into something more.”

Ma’el smiled faintly, not having thought much about it for the time being, but it was obvious that as they interacted more, he was at least not resistant to Isabella on this point.

The two then went their separate ways back home, and the next day they met again, completing the final signing with Emirates Airline and attending the celebration banquet held by the sheikhs.

Thus, 3 out of Ma’el’s 4 basic endorsements after the European Cup were signed, with 9 ads already completed, and the rest would soon be released.

Every day, huge sums of money flowed into his pockets, making him gradually feel numb, but occasionally, there was a sense of dazzling indulgence amidst wealth and pleasure, which he quite enjoyed.

That same night, news in the European football transfer scene reignited excitement among all fans.

”Chelsea signs Belgian star Hazard! Reportedly, the transfer fee reached 35 million Euros!” — UK ’442’

”Big news! Ah Bu once again makes a major investment, as French forward Frank Ribery joins Stanford Bridge, set to start a new financial storm in the new season! His transfer fee reached 55 million Euros!” — UK ’The Guardian’

”Is Guardiola pooling funds for one last shot at Ma’el? Ah Bu spends over 200 million pounds, determined to bring the Premier League championship back to the team’s honor library! Fans hotly discuss the completion of the Avengers Alliance!” — ’Romano’

”Deal completed! French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris joins Arsenal! The team completes the optimal reinforcement for the goalkeeper position!” — ’London Evening Paper’

”Congratulations! The current football world offers very few options for the goalkeeper position, and Lloris really is Arsenal’s best solution. His competition with Szczeny will make the team better!” — Team legendary goalkeeper Seaman on social media

”Lloris has been taken by Arsenal... There’s no good goalkeeper left in the market now, and those available surely won’t be let go. I’m worried about Tottenham’s defense.” — Tottenham legend Muleli on social media

”With the back line covered, can the front line be far behind? (smirk) (smirk)” — Henry on social media

”It is disclosed that Levi, upon hearing Arsenal’s latest offer, has priced Bell at 90 million pounds, an unprecedented transaction price in football, which might scare off Arsenal and Real Madrid.” — ’Romano’

”I don’t think Kroenke will back out. The team has been holding back in the transfer market for many seasons, and with the Financial Fair Play Act coming in 2013, they won’t be able to spend much later on. This year, they’ll definitely spend plenty.” — ’The Times’

”Support! Arsenal has brought in many strong reinforcements this season, but they urgently need a superstar to cap off the dazzling summer transfers, making their entire maneuver perfect!” — France ’L’Equipe’

At 10:03 PM, yet-to-bed Arsenal fans noticed a piece of news that immediately grabbed their attention.

”Bell arrives at Korney Training Base!! He has already met with Wenger, and it seems the signing is in its final stages!” — Some tabloid magazine released this rumor

This spread quickly among Arsenal fan communities, exciting every Arsenal fan.

”Is this real?”

”If Bell really comes, it would be fantastic. In the new season, we’d truly be a shining star!”

”Indeed, if he joins, we’ll have the strongest attacking line!”

”I don’t think it’s very likely. How could Levi let two players go to Arsenal!”

”Let’s just wait for the news. Anyway, the transfer window closes soon, maybe we’ll see something one morning when we wake up.”

”.....”

For Arsenal fans, although they hate Tottenham a lot, they are really craving Bell, ever since he shone on the Champions League stage against the then world No.1 right-back Maicon.

If such a treasure could join the team and simultaneously weaken their arch-enemies, why not?

At 11 PM, while driving home, Ma’el also saw this rumor in the forwarded headlines. He didn’t fully believe it until his phone suddenly beeped.

It was a long text message from Mr. Wenger, the content was — ”I hope you can come to the base tomorrow morning. With Bell’s signing nearing, I need you, Ramsey, and Gilbert to extend the final invitation to him to increase the success rate.”

”You are the team captain, Ramsey is his good partner in the Wales national team, and Gilbert’s agent Barnet is also his agent.”
