From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 782: Chapter 5: Transfer Deadline Drama! London City Looks Far Ahead! New Season Transfermarkt Valuations Updated for the First Time!

“Haha, Che…..!” He once again attracted a chorus of mockery, but he himself didn’t seem to mind much. This was all meant to lighten up the atmosphere anyway.

In the midst of laughter and cheers, the distance between everyone rapidly decreased.

Afterwards, it became a routine event, with the group driving to the villa estate where Leon Ma-ehl lived.

This time, as they slowly drove into the small park road at the entrance to Ma-el’s home, a scene entirely different from last year occurred.

“Shit.”

“You live here at such a young age?”

“Is this his house?”

“Yes.”

There were still players like Joao Pereira and Giroud, who hadn’t been paid much before, feeling shocked by Ma-el’s residence, though the astonishment was far less than before.

“Is there a problem? He’s the man worth hundreds of millions, one of the most followed people in contemporary football. A single post can sell for 1.35 million pounds.”

“Nothing…..just very envious.”

“Haha, keep it up then. I hope we can all be successful at Arsenal and live in houses like this.”

In the midst of various exclamations, Ma-el led the troop into the house, asking Safina and Isabella to quickly prepare a feast while he grabbed some drinks first.

“It’s out, out!”

Soon, Joao Pereira ran out from the toilet, holding his phone and looking expectant, “The German transfer market valuations have been released! There’s a bonus video, want to check it out, it should be official!”

“Watch it!” Van Persie was also excited, thinking he had some room for increase.

Joao Pereira placed the phone on the table and clicked play; everyone crowded around, watching with an air of anticipation like opening a surprise box.

Of course, the title indicated it’s about the top ten most valued players in the world of football; most knew this had nothing to do with them.

“10, Van Persie, Arsenal, latest valuation 52.5 million euros!”

The video just started, and Van Persie’s face popped up, with a downward red arrow beside his valuation, indicating a decrease in valuation.

“Hey?!” Van Persie jumped up in dissatisfaction, “So many stars didn’t do well in the European Cup, why did mine drop so much?”

The others quickly comforted him with pats on the back, and he soon calmed down, continuing to watch, though muttering under his breath, “I’ll score 30 goals this season and bring me up to 80 million euros!”

“9, Falcao, Atletico Madrid, latest valuation 55 million euros!”

“8, David Silva, Manchester City, latest valuation 55 million euros!”

“7, Aguero, Manchester City, latest valuation 57.5 million euros!”

Van Persie spread his hands in complaint again, “David Silva’s strong performance and stats, plus reaching the European Cup final, his high valuation I can understand.

“What’s with Aguero? Was it because he didn’t attend the European Cup, so he maintained his valuation?”

“Alright, alright, wait for Ma-el’s latest valuation, stop complaining.” Ramsey pulled him aside, everyone gathered to see, definitely wanting to know where Europe’s champion + record holder + four-time MVP Ma-el would rank.

Van Persie stopped talking, staring at the screen, hoping his good friend’s valuation could soothe his inner imbalance.

“6, Fabregas, Chelsea, latest valuation 62.5 million euros!”

“5, Rooney, Manchester United, latest valuation 68 million euros!”

“4, Iniesta, Barcelona, latest valuation 75 million euros!”

“3, Ronaldo, Real Madrid, latest valuation 110 million euros!”

“…..”

“Oh…..!” Upon seeing Ronaldo only ranked third, everyone immediately widened their eyes and opened their mouths, looking at Ma-el and celebrating the team’s captain surpassing the Portuguese captain.

This was actually a natural progression; Ma-el is much younger than the Portuguese and Argentine stars, with a potentially longer career and greater potential!

Even though he hasn’t truly surpassed the two in stats yet, the leap in valuation is entirely reasonable!

The reason age wasn’t included in previous evaluation standards was that currently Transfermarkt is relatively fair and serious, evaluating whether a player’s long-term data is stable, not giving a newly emerged player a high valuation on a whim.

But consecutive seasons of excellent performance, coupled with Ma-el’s explosive state in the European Cup and accumulated honors, made Transfermarkt gradually relax in this aspect, giving him a valuation that better reflects his reality.

“Number Two…..And Number One…..! Leon Ma-el…And Lionel Messi…..!!”

The first and second rankings were announced together, and at that moment, everyone already knew Ma-el had reached the joint top position.

World No. 1!

“135m…..!!”

Ma-el and Messi, who broke the century goal mark last season, each occupied half of the screen, with images of them celebrating on the field.

135 million euros!

This was Ma-el’s latest valuation, and after breaking the sky-high mark, he didn’t face a bottleneck, skyrocketing another 30 million!

“Yeahhh…..!” Arsenal players, both new and old, raised their hands to celebrate their young captain, and even Van Persie forgot about his own valuation drop.

Safina and Isabella hurriedly ran out of the kitchen, both asking anxiously, “What’s happening, what’s happening?”

Jose and Davis, and Harry also quickly came out from their rooms, staring at the jubilant players.

“Ma-el’s valuation, 130.5 million euros, tied for the top in the world with Messi!”

Someone explained to them, and subsequently, the entire room fell into a joyful chaos, not a quiet spot to be found, “Ahh….! Awesome! Next time, gonna surpass Messi, right?”

“Without a major tournament, surpassing that monster is tough, but maintaining Ma-el’s level shouldn’t be too difficult!”
