From Arsenal to the Ball God

The rest of it seems like he can’t help much either, and can only say that through this private interaction, it allows Bell to meet and get to know them in advance, stirring a slight sense of belonging to the club among him through the recognition of the club’s players.

Sometimes, this is quite crucial, making Bell more decisive when making critical decisions.

”Captain.”

A voice full of meaning sounded out, attracting the attention of Ma’el, Bell, and many others, all of them looked towards Ramsey.

As Ma’el turned his head, he realized that the person must have been calling his captain, Bell, from the Wales national team.

Bell was clearly stunned by this abrupt call, and after coming to his senses, he raised his right hand to scratch his chin, as if trying to ease the intense emotional change within him.

”Ever since I skipped grades to join the U17, we’ve been teammates in the Wales U series national team.”

Ramsey looked at Bell, playing the emotional card, though perhaps also sincerely expressing his feelings, ”Later in the 06-07 season, you and I both made our first-team debuts, and this year, you also wore the captain’s armband.

”Do you remember? Since we were young, our goal was to lead this team to the European Cup, to the World Cup, and make it to the knockout stage.

”We talked about a lot of fantasies back then, made a lot of dreams together, our eyes full of hope.”

Ma’el secretly observed Bell’s expression and noticed a noticeable change, as if some memories were stirred.

”I’ve longed to play soccer with you, truly day and night.”

Ramsey looked up at the 45-degree angled sky, ”I would think that if you and I were on the same club and honed our tacit understanding, maybe in the World Cup qualifiers and European qualifiers, we wouldn’t have any regrets.

”Do you remember Andy King? That very talented young lad from Leicester City, Mr. Wenger said he was also a potential recruitment target.

”Just imagine that scene, the numbers 10, 11, and 8 of Wales playing for the same club, being together every day, by then Wales would become incredibly strong.”

Wenger glanced at Ramsey, his facial muscles twitching slightly, but he didn’t show anything.

Bell put his right leg, which was resting on his left leg, down, and took a deep breath. In his heart, the status of the Wales national team is undoubtedly very important.

If things could proceed according to Ramsey’s idea, it would undoubtedly be the best for the national team... he had to admit, this was a significant temptation for him.

Actually, it doesn’t really matter whether that somewhat mediocre Andy King is included or not, playing with Ramsey, once called the twin stars of Wales, would be great.

”Mr. Barnet.”

Gilbert also launched his offensive at the right moment, advising the agent: ”I think if Bell and I both play for Arsenal, it would be quite a satisfying thing for you.

”Arsenal will become a base for you, and many youth team players in the excellent academy system will be influenced by us and prioritize signing with you.”

Barnet laughed, not expecting that the usually silent young man would one day sit opposite him, earnestly persuading him to make an important decision.

It seems their love for Arsenal, their sincere desire for the good of the club, is indeed genuine.

Additionally, one has to say, Gilbert makes a valid point. When he has an academy-trained player and an imported superstar, Arsenal’s young players will indeed be influenced and more inclined to sign with him, which would benefit his career development.

This is appealing to him, as Arsenal’s academy almost produces first-league players every year, not lacking in super international stars like Ma’el.

”Take the initiative.”

Ma’el and Bell are not relatives, and cannot deliver the final blow, but he still added, ”Let’s both be more proactive to make some things happen, and I believe things will soon yield good results.

”I look forward to cooperating with Bell, and also look forward to accomplishing something great at Arsenal.”

Once he said this, he turned his gaze towards Wenger, suggesting, ”How about this, since Bell is also here, today I’ll take him along with Van Persie, Gilbert, Ramsey, and the new recruits for a stroll around London City?”

Wenger’s eyes moved, and upon thinking of something, he quickly nodded in agreement, ”Sure, I’ll have Philip contact them right away.”

This is a good opportunity to win over Bell, we must take the chance to foster some connections.

”I...” Bell and Barnet exchanged a smile, just about to say he’s lived in North London and is quite familiar with the place.

But Ma’el was quicker to respond, stood up and interrupted him, inviting, ”No worries, let’s go, even if it’s just to get familiar with our teammates in advance.”

Barnet hadn’t even stood up when Ramsey and Gilbert quickly walked up to Bell, helped him up, and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, leading him toward the door, strongly indicating they were taking him away.

”Mr. Barnet.”

Wenger also called out to Barnet, pressing on with an attack, ”Don’t you think now is the best time to confirm the player’s contract? Little Kroenke and the director are both at the club.”

Barnet watched as the situation quickly slipped out of his control, and by the time he realized it, he couldn’t change it, so he could only compromise with a smile: ”Yes, I also think it’s a good negotiation opportunity.”

”Please.”

”Please.”

The two of them headed for the sports director’s office together, while Wenger swiftly contacted Little Kroenke to get in place, and also had Philip contact the players to help ensure a smooth London tour for Ma’el and the new players.

...

Half an hour later, the Arsenal players converged at the base gate in their luxury cars.
