From Arsenal to the Ball God

The two of them spent over twenty minutes touring the entire place before returning to the car.

”So, what do you think?” Pepeño turned to Ma’el, thinking the other party should have an answer by now.

”Rent it!”

Ma’el had no hesitation. After seeing this, his mind couldn’t accommodate any other houses, ”I want it with a priority purchase option, pay one year’s rent upfront.”

Before leaving, he looked at the mansion towering over 20 meters and thought about how he would drive his Ferrari from here in the future as he trained and lived, silently cheering himself on.

Since he had preemptively started living the life of a superstar, he needed to play well in North London and strive to become a true superstar as soon as possible!

He wanted his status to match everything, to ease his heart.

He wasn’t worried; he believed he could surely achieve it, he just wanted it to happen sooner.

......

On May 22nd, Ma’el and Gilbert went to the Fulham District in London to watch Arsenal’s final match of the season.

In this match, Arsenal would face Fulham, ending their 38-round journey of the 10-11 Premier League season.

”I heard the vacation starts on June 1st.”

Gilbert and Ma’el entered Fulham’s home ground, Craven Cottage, and laughed, ”Before the vacation, we can train with the team for a few days to get familiar with the club and teammates, preparing for the next season.”

”I’ve always wanted to meet Van Persie; he’s the best forward in the Premier League in my mind.”

In fact, if you had asked Gilbert a year ago who he most wanted to meet, his answer would definitely have been the Spaniard Fabregas.....

But after the jersey incident, all his love for Fabregas turned into hatred, and now they were as incompatible as fire and water.

Fortunately, Fabregas went on strike, otherwise, if they met, he wouldn’t know how to interact, and a conflict might break out.

”Let’s go.”

Ma’el beckoned Gilbert to enter the stadium; he was eager to see these new teammates play in person.

The two sat down, and the match started quickly. Arsenal fielded a 4-4-2 formation today, going all out to secure a spectacular victory in the final match.

But things didn’t go as hoped..... Arsenal, always holding a high ball control rate, was repeatedly countered effectively by Fulham.

They were hit with a goal by Sidwell in the 26th minute, but then Diaby assisted Van Persie to equalize the score.

In the 56th minute, Arsenal’s flimsy defense made another mistake, allowing Samoora to score again from a pass by Grinning.

Two to one!

Wenger made three consecutive substitutions, and finally, in the 89th minute, Walcott managed to equalize, securing a draw.

Whether judging by the result or process of the match, it couldn’t satisfy Arsenal fans.

”Boo boo boo...!”

The Arsenal fans in the South Stand erupted in boos, clearly unhappy with the result, venting their frustration, chanting for Wenger to step down once again.

It was Ma’el’s first time experiencing Wenger’s pressure firsthand. He watched the old man pacing by the coach’s seat for a long time before ultimately walking reluctantly to the South Stand to thank the fans under the immense pressure.

Even a clever housewife cannot cook without rice.

He thought of this saying, representing Wenger’s current situation, but some fans didn’t care about the difficulty; they only cared about whether dinner was served.

”Being a wife is hard.”

He used ’Elder Yan’s words to express his feelings to Gilbert and then hoped, ”Let’s see if we can do something next season.”

”Yeah.” Gilbert also couldn’t bear to see Wenger’s appearance, turning to leave the field.

Tomorrow, after reporting to the team, they would officially join this prestigious club for training!
