From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Wow....!”

Sheffield City, near Bramall Lane Stadium and the bar street, the cheers resounded through the sky and became more overwhelming as more people joined in, spreading further.

”Wow....Wow.....!!”

As it spread further, new voices joined in, and this sound finally spread over a ten-mile radius centered around Bramall Lane Stadium!

Countless people opened their windows at this moment, shouting recklessly into the street, countless people rushed out of the taverns and their homes, coming to the streets to sing and dance joyfully with other fans.

”Champions!”

”We’ve got another championship!”

”I love Ma’el to death!”

”We must thank Arsenal, thank Wenger for putting him on our team!”

”I’ll watch Arsenal’s games from now on, especially those with Ma’el!”

The shouting echoed from all directions in the city, Ma’el’s name became the trending topic of the city at that moment, repeated thousands of times.

From the tough relegation scenario at the beginning of the season, to surpassing one hundred points to win the championship by the end!

Sheffield United fans have experienced a roller coaster ride of emotions.

”Whoosh....! Bang....!”

It was already close to 9 PM, the best time for fireworks, and two or three scattered fireworks lifted off, kicking off the fireworks feast.

”Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh....! Bang, bang, bang....!”

In an instant, the whole sky was lit up with fireworks, dazzling and brilliant fireworks spread out, making the whole city beautiful as if it was the New Year’s Eve again.

They are the ones who smiled last!

This day, this season, belonged to them!

The University of Sheffield, as a prestigious Ivy League school in the United Kingdom and one of the world’s top universities, attracts students from all over the world.

They are vibrant, energetic, full of hope for the future, and in this state of mind, they are more willing to appreciate beautiful things.

When the fireworks went off, the whole city was wrapped in joy, men and women walking on the school playground stood still, showing expressions of surprise and satisfaction.

”It’s fireworks!”

”Should we make wishes?”

”What day is it today?”

”So beautiful!”

They took out their phones, photographing the scene in the sky, marking this moment eternal, some even flipped their cameras to take selfies with the fireworks.

Members of the school football team and sports teams rushed to the playground to celebrate, explaining the reasons for the fireworks and the citywide madness.

”Today is the day Sheffield United won the championship, it’s the day we return to the top league!”

”Ma’el! He’s two or three years younger than us, but he’s a rare talent in football, leading us to the Premier League!”

”40 goals and 27 assists! Responsible for 67 goals! He doesn’t seem to belong to this galaxy, I worry that after the fireworks, he’ll fly away on the smoke.”

”Hahaha.....”

The news of Sheffield United’s victory quickly spread through the school, as students’ circles are relatively small, any news is quickly known by all.

On this day, Ma’el’s name became familiar to students from all over the world.

Some sincerely thanked this heroic figure, even if they don’t watch football, but they witnessed a grand fireworks show.

...

Loftus Road Stadium, VIP area.

”Beautiful!!”

Clément was the loudest one, yelling first: ”Won! We’ll win!! Good job, nephew!”

He turned his head to look at his wife, ignoring the eyes of the three children, pressing a heavy kiss on her.

Betty’s face instantly turned red, but at this moment, she couldn’t bother to complain about her husband, she just raised her hand and cheered: ”Ma’el, we are proud of you!!”

”Brother scored!”

Eva jumped in Isabella’s arms, Isabella strained all her strength to avoid dropping her, ”Brother earns the boss’s money and then takes me out for pizza!”

Hearing her cue her dad, Isabella paused, then burst out laughing.

Once she stabilized her emotions, she raised her head and took a deep breath, releasing to shout towards the field: ”I knew you could do it! I will release a special commemorative clothing line after this match!”

On the other side, Wenger and Mendes stood up together, both faces showing pride and emotion, as if they were watching their own child.

”Clap, clap, clap....” They began clapping, not celebrating too wildly, but from the long duration of their applause, their current feelings could still be perceived.

”Alright.”

Mendes looked at Ma’el’s back, remembering he was only 17, he couldn’t help but feel hopeful for his future career, ”Mr. Wenger, at 17, he’s the absolute core helping the team surpass a hundred points.

”Personally contributing to 67 goals in a single season, winning the Golden Boot and Assist King.

”Isn’t such a player deserving of a higher salary, better treatment?”

”Yes,” Wenger knew he was about to bring up the topic of salary increases again, which might have annoyed him usually.

But at this moment, he felt a sense of ’as it should be’, he actively said: ”A player receiving a pay raise three times in a single season might not have happened yet in world football.

”However, we can break the precedent for him, special people will naturally experience special things.”

He looked at Ma’el, the more he saw him the more he liked him, thinking that next season he would return to Arsenal with him... somehow, he suddenly had the thought ’let Fabregas leave if he wants to’.

”That’s for the best.”

Mendes smiled and glanced around, seeing everyone celebrating, on the other side Safina and Harry also clapped heavily, faces full of excitement.

Feels like someone is missing?

”Yeah.....!” A cheer suddenly rang out, Hans beside him stood up and raised his hand, shouting successively a few times: ”Yes!!”

Mendes’s body jolted, startled, Wenger beside him also turned his head in surprise.

No way, buddy?

Delayed reaction?

Everyone finished celebrating, saw you had no response, then came a secondary celebration?

”Reactive loop is a bit long.” Mendes eased his momentary awkwardness with a burst of laughter, shaking his head, indeed, in this enthusiastic atmosphere, his acceptance of everything increased.

He continued clapping, intending to stop only when the celebration and cheers inside the arena ceased.

”Beep! Beep! Beep ——!”

Finally, amidst the uproar, the referee blew the final whistle of the game.

One to zero!

Sheffield United defeated Queens Park Rangers, winning this final battle for the top spot!

The atmosphere on the scene was once again elevated, plunging into another wave of revelry, as if they weren’t afraid of waking up with hoarse throats the next day morning, they never stopped celebrating.

”Great goal!”

”Well done!”

”Without you, there wouldn’t be this season for us, thank you!”

The players hugged each other, saying sentimental words, reflecting on their gains and losses this season.

The proud Queens Park Rangers players throughout the season, lowered their heads at this moment, many of them lay down on the ground, crying in disappointment.

They didn’t reach the heaven they wanted, nor could they stay in place, what’s awaiting them is a hellish upgrade playoff zone!

Worlock stood petrified on the spot, unmoved for a long time, unable to believe what was happening before his eyes.

Leave the championship at home?

He seemed to have achieved that, but the ones lifting the trophy weren’t them, but the Sheffield people.

”Attention! Attention!”

Hundreds of policemen dressed in black, holding riot shields, quickly rushed out from the players’ tunnel, preventing Queens Park fans from storming the field in anger to harm Sheffield United players.

Someone began urging Queen Park fans to exit, leaving them here to witness Sheffield United lifting the cup would greatly increase the probability of a riot.

Once their fans gradually left, the award ceremony was about to begin.
