From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Let’s go.”

Worlock took one last look at the field. He saw the lucky ’rookie’ coach Garrispeed adjusting his tie in front of his chest, saw Ma’el raising his hands high towards the fan section applauding… saw the dazzling trophy.

He turned and headed towards the player tunnel, leaving the field to the Sheffield United people who were still celebrating.

Before leaving, he left a final bitter remark: ”I didn’t lose to Garrispeed, I’m still the best fit to lead Sheffield United. Give me a Ma’el, and I can win the Championship too.”

......

”The team captain Robert is ready to take down the championship trophy from the high platform! The fireworks are already in place, just waiting for them to raise the trophy high!”

”Robert reached out his hand, hesitated a little...he looked at his teammates waiting for him on the podium, maybe he’s looking for someone to take down the trophy with him!”

”And who does he want to find? It shouldn’t be hard to guess. The biggest contributor to their championship this season is standing towards the front of the podium!”

Beside the award podium, the Champion of the Championship trophy on the high platform is very dazzling. It must be the current focus of attention. Hundreds of thousands of Sheffield United fans are waiting in front of the television, waiting for the players to lift this trophy.

In the end, Robert didn’t dare to boldly lift the honor alone. He waved at Ma’el with a smile, ”Come on! Come on!”

Ma’el didn’t expect he’d look for him, a hint of joy rose in his heart... there’s no one who doesn’t want to personally lift the trophy.

He looked around, and saw joy and support in his teammates’ eyes. Gilbert and Evans even pushed him forward.

”I’m coming.”

Ma’el didn’t hesitate anymore, he came to the high platform where the trophy was, he and Robert each lifted one side and walked towards the podium.

”Oh.....!!” The warming cry rang out, everyone on the podium bent their bodies, placed their hands on their knees, and kept stomping, ready to jump and raise their arms at any time.

Now, just waiting for him and Robert to issue the command by raising the trophy!

”Three...two...one!!”

When Ma’el and Robert counted down the last number, the two suddenly quickened their pace, leaped up the podium in one step, and together, with a very dashing pose, threw the trophy high, lifting it above their heads.

”Yeah.....!!” Their teammates who had been waiting for this moment all along quickly stretched their bodies and raised their hands high, cheering and leaping, this was the final moment of emotional release.

The fans on site cooperated with them, turning the entire Loftus Road Stadium into a sea of joy.

”Boom! Boom! Boom...!!” On both sides of the podium, machines that had been set up in advance sprayed a colorful shower of golden ribbons at this moment, in abundance, shooting up four or five meters into the sky before falling neatly.

This is the color of champions!

”Swish! Swish! Swish....!” Following closely, sixteen flamethrowers behind the podium sprayed champion fireworks, forming a crisscross firewall, adding the final cheerful touch for them.

”Haha....! We are the champions!!”

”Olé....olé olé olé.....!!”

Ma’el raised his side of the championship trophy with both hands, jumping along with his teammates, emotions reaching a climax.

Confetti kept falling on his head, the shouts of his teammates and the cheers of fans in the distance filled his ears, he finally experienced the tangible feeling of winning the championship and lifting the trophy.

In the past 46 rounds, he played in 42 matches, scored 40 goals, provided 27 assists, and had 2 hat tricks in a single game.

He and his teammates experienced many unforgettable moments, gritted their teeth to accumulate points, leaving countless sweat on the training ground.

In the end, one small achievement and victory after another came together, becoming this important achievement at this moment, becoming this trophy lifted over their heads now!

First career championship!

This is an important milestone, finally writing a stroke of bright color in his career!

......

After the trophy ceremony ended, the players’ friends and families entered the field, taking pictures with their phones.

”Ma’el!”

Clément ran out of the player tunnel, first embracing Ma’el warmly, and then, after pulling apart, excitedly said with a smile, ”Mr. Wenger and I watched the entire game from above.

”It’s more comfortable than watching in the box, more immersive in the game, except for those tense moments before scoring, hahaha....

”We actually won the championship.... It’s so surreal, just a year ago you were in the youth academy, now you’re champions!”

Aunt Betty came out with three kids, she also stepped forward to hug Ma’el, ”You did great, I’ve said many times, having you is an honor for our family.

”We can’t give you much help anymore, but if you’re tired or in a bad mood, come home to rest, the family is your final support.”

”Alright.” Ma’el hugged them one by one, feeling very happy, after chatting a bit he took everyone around the field to feel the post-championship atmosphere.

”Brother, can I borrow the medal?” Bruno, at the side, pointed to the medal on his chest, curiously asking.

Ma’el nodded and took off the medal, handing it over, ”Don’t lose it.”

”Okay!”

Bruno joyfully took the medal, flicked it a few times and found it’s not solid gold, slightly disappointed: ”I thought these medals were pure gold.”

”Haha.”

Clément laughed out loud, came forward to take the medal and explained: ”Gold-plated is good enough, and the meaning of this medal might be worth far more than a solid gold medal could buy.”
