From Arsenal to the Ball God

This afternoon, Ma’el stayed at the training base for a long time, constantly practicing his Reverse Foot, hoping for an upgrade today.

The recent schedule has been too tight, with 5 league rounds completed in 24 days.

His body was very tired, and he had indeed been somewhat lax in training.

”Swoosh swoosh.....”

By six in the evening, the sky suddenly darkened, and a light rain began to fall, affecting his training to some extent.

Fortunately, by after seven o’clock, his left foot finally improved.

[Skill: Power Side Foot Level 3]

[Skill Level: 1/2000]

[Utility: You gradually mastered the technique of exerting force with your left foot, sometimes able to kick powerful long passes and long shots, not inferior to your dominant foot, but still lacking some precision.]

Power increase!

”Boom! Boom!!”

Ma’el clearly felt it, and excitedly took out a few footballs, launching some Heavy Cannon Strikes towards the goal.

The speed of the football was very fast, capable of breaking through the goal of a professional team!

He tried the Dipping Shot and Crossing again, feeling still good, his left foot no longer felt awkward, and at least in terms of power, he was quite adept.

”Level 4 must improve precision.”

He had a guess, with a smile appearing on his face, now his left foot was truly usable.

In many situations, he no longer had to switch to his right foot to handle the ball, but could try to make some threats with his left foot!

Even if it’s not as good as the right foot, it’s better than missing scoring opportunities and slowing the team’s Rhythm.

[Skill: Burst Level 3]

[Skill Level: (1598/2000)]

[Skill: Physical Ability Level 2]

[Skill Level: (641/800)]

[Skill: Judging the Situation Level 3]

[Skill Level: (792/2000)]

Looking at the progress of the other three skills, the speed improvement did not meet his expectations, related to the recent intensive schedule.

But even so, it’s still slightly faster than the Weak Side Foot, possibly because it’s more commonly used.

”After the season is over, I will need a period of high-intensity practice.”

Ma’el was looking forward to the season ending soon, not only for the ability improvement but also anticipating their final results.

Walking home, he glanced at his phone, Safina called him several times again.

She’s indeed very dedicated, not irritated, completing her work seriously every day, keeping her emotions very stable.

”If the final results are good, I can give her and Harry a gift to thank them for their contributions in the second half of the season.”

Ma’el remembered reading the news that Ronaldo sent luxury cars to each physiotherapy team member after winning the Golden Ball Award.

He currently doesn’t have that much money, nor such a big honor, but he can give some small gifts like watches.

He also remembered his driver’s license, he hadn’t completed a driving lesson this month... otherwise, he would have finished earlier.

It has indeed been busy, and completing the required courses and getting his license might take until May.

”No rush.”

Ma’el set aside this matter, now focusing on the last Sprint, stabilizing the upgrade zone, and launching an attack for the championship.

Look forward, move forward!

......

April 25, Championship Round 44.

”in this only one city l love, Back in 1889...!!”

This was the third-to-last match, with Sheffield United visiting to face Preston in a fierce battle, accompanied by over four thousand traveling fans singing loudly to cheer them on.

Preston now has only 40 points, a relegation zone team, weak in strength but definitely not easy to play against.

A fierce championship-contending team at the end of the season can be considered the second most feared by mid-table teams, with the most feared being relegation-fighting teams.

They have little to do with frenzy now, more like fighting for their lives.

Ward passes the ball inside! All Preston players congregate in their penalty area, determined to maintain their narrow two-to-one lead until the end!

”A win against the second-ranked team can greatly boost their relegation survival confidence, let’s see if they can hold on!”

”Sheffield United hasn’t given up! Maguire has also moved up! Header! Hits Trish’s foot! Deflected out of the penalty area!

”From the second point position! The elusive Ma’el appears here again, did he foresee the ball coming here, or did he observe this open space?

On the field, the football rolled out of the penalty area along the ground. Since it had just rained, the slippery ground accelerated the ball’s spin, making it hard to control.

Ma’el glanced at the crowded penalty area, several Preston players were already rushing to block his shot.

”Boom!!”

He didn’t choose a direct kick or a Dipping Shot, but after observing a line on the ground, he tentatively used the instep to curve the ball towards the far corner of the goal.

The ball skimmed the ground, speeding along, drawing a small arc, and with a ’clang’, it hit the far post and rolled into the net.

”Aaah.....!!” The South Stand filled with Sheffield United fans stood up, turning it into a sea of jubilation.

”Goal! In the 76th minute! Ma’el’s goal helps Sheffield United equalize!!

”Two to two!!

”A ground-hugging curved shot! From this angle, we could clearly see the arced ground shot he curved with the instep! It’s unimaginable how he developed such a skill and used it effectively in a shot!”

After scoring, Ma’el celebrated with a simple fist pump, then quickly urged a closer teammate to fetch the ball from the net and run towards the central circle arc.
