Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1381: Chapter 1381: Causing Trouble at the Group’s Entrance

”This might be a bit difficult, but I can give it a try.”

”Thank you for your hard work.” Janelle added, ”By the way, I haven’t told mom that I’m going out with Trevor, I only said I’m going out with a friend.”

”Got it.” Nathan understood what she meant; after all, they were on the same side.

Then the father and daughter chatted briefly before hanging up the phone; after all, her father was a busy man.

At the entrance of The Dalton Group’s main building, a crowd had gathered, with some standing and some squatting, as if centered around something, all discussing in a bustling manner, as if something major had happened.

Trevor stepped on the brakes, and the Maybach stopped steadily from a distance. He looked straight ahead, eyes slightly narrowed, unbuckled his seatbelt, and got out of the car.

Having seen both Simon and Cecilia Dunn, with plenty of bodyguards around, everyone seemed a bit at a loss.

A bad premonition instantly came over Trevor as he saw an ambulance!

He quickened his pace, hearing the sounds of mournful crying.

Cecilia Dunn was the first to notice him and hurriedly tugged Simon’s arm beside her, whispering, ”Mr. Trevino is here.”

Simon turned his eyes, as if seeing hope!

Trevor halted by his side, and even before asking what had happened, he saw the white-haired old man lying on the ground due to his absolute height advantage.

”Dad, you died so miserably! Dad! Wake up!”

”Uncle, uncle...”

”Old man, wake up! You can’t leave me behind!”

Dead?

Despite a feeling of pity, Trevor still felt completely confused as he looked towards Simon.

Simon frowned and whispered a report, ”Oh, thank goodness you finally came, calls went unanswered, the collaborators are about to arrive, I can’t handle this scene.”

”Why is this happening?” Trevor asked calmly.

Simon answered him, ”The old man suddenly died here, not an employee of our company, just passing by, and suddenly all the family members emerged crying hysterically, insistently demanding compensation from the company, refusing to leave without money.”

Simon had just finished reporting when the family members crying hysterically around the old man all spotted Trevor.

They froze for half a second, judging from his aura that he was not ordinary, they hurriedly rushed like a swarm!

Before Trevor could react, one after another clung onto him!

”You’re the person in charge, right? My father died at your company’s entrance, what’s your resolution?”

”Can’t let him escape!”

”Old man, I will seek justice for you.”

”Pay compensation, pay compensation!”

Trevor, having a particular aversion to being touched, felt a strong inner resistance to their grabbing.

Yet these people seemed glued on, ”Let’s discuss, I’m not running! Let go first!”

The bodyguards nearby promptly came over to pull them off.

Meanwhile, in the hotel.

Janelle, who was preparing to sleep, opened Weibo, habitually ready to indulge a little, but accidentally stumbled upon a video regarding The Dalton Group.

The entrance was crowded, a lot of onlookers, Trevor had just walked over, only to be grabbed by several people.

And the posts on Weibo stated that someone died at the company’s door, and the family was causing a scene...

Dead?

Janelle was utterly shocked!

Seeing Trevor seemingly getting his skin ripped off, she immediately threw off her blanket, slipped on her shoes, and dashed out the door!

”Where are you going?!”

Carlotta Sterling got up from the sofa, watching her daughter rush to the doorway like the wind, and before she could get an answer, Janelle had dashed out.

Out of concern, Carlotta chased her, but her daughter’s figure had already vanished.

She hurriedly dialed her daughter’s phone, not to stop her from leaving, but concerned as a mother, as such a rush surely meant something happened.
