Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1363: Chapter 1363: Trevor’s Attitude

Trevor and Janelle hadn’t taken their seats yet, and she had already made her words clear.

Janelle Mills had anticipated her mother’s attitude long ago.

Trevor came to Janelle’s side, pulled out a chair for her, and said gently, ”You sit first.” Then he sat down beside her.

The girl’s complaining gaze was fixed on her mother.

But her mother didn’t look at her.

Even with Trevor’s protection, Janelle felt she wasn’t fighting alone, yet the atmosphere in the room was somewhat awkward.

After all, the opposition was her mother.

In the face of a table full of sumptuous dishes, no one picked up their chopsticks. Janelle Mills looked steadily at her mother and finally spoke, ”Mom...”

”Auntie.” Trevor gently interrupted the girl.

He looked at the middle-aged woman opposite him, his voice gentle and humble, ”Janelle just told me everything.”

The girl turned her gaze and saw Trevor’s calm demeanor, ”You originally agreed, but suddenly changed your mind, not because I’m not good enough.”

Carlotta Sterling raised her eyes to look at him, her expression cold, curious to see what else he could say.

Trevor said, ”So we won’t break up because of your opposition. As an adult, you should first handle your emotional issues; it’s not right to let it affect the younger generation.”

Not only was Carlotta Sterling shocked, but even Janelle Mills widened her eyes in surprise! She abruptly turned her gaze, looking at him in disbelief!

Trevor was really bold in what he said, despite his calm tone.

He calmly picked up his chopsticks, looking gently at Carlotta Sterling, ”Auntie, what do you think? Just because I was introduced by Uncle Mills, you completely deny me, is that fair to me?”

”Trevor, Julian is no worse than you.” Carlotta Sterling suppressed her anger and said patiently, ”I’m not denying you, I just have a more suitable choice. I hope you won’t persist.”

Janelle Mills felt very awkward, Trevor hadn’t persisted.

”Then why don’t you ask Janelle and see who she would choose?” Trevor’s lips curved up, confidently looking at the girl sitting next to him, a faint smile on his lips.

Janelle Mills felt the scene was too real... She almost felt moved by Trevor.

”I know what she’ll choose.” Carlotta Sterling smiled and helped her daughter answer, ”Women are all love-struck; I’m here today to meet you and want you to give up, not listen to her thoughts.”

But Trevor took Janelle Mills’ hand, the move startled Janelle; her chest tightened, she turned to look at him.

Their eyes met again, Janelle steadied her mind, seeing Trevor smiling and saying, ”As long as Janelle doesn’t say to give up, I won’t give up.”

So this game, is he willing to play it to the end with her? Just because he hopes she brings his brother along? This was Janelle Mills’ thought.

But Trevor felt that he liked her, and this time, he surely wouldn’t miss out.

Carlotta Sterling really hadn’t expected Trevor to say such things. She just smiled, picked up her teacup and took a sip of tea, then stood up saying, ”Don’t worry, you will give up.”

After saying this, she stepped away and left.

The mother’s strange tone made the girl’s chest tighten; was she trying to threaten Trevor? Janelle stood up but was stopped by Trevor.

Both of them watched her mother leave.

She pulled her hand out from the man’s grasp, not wanting to implicate him at all, ”My mom is not an easy person, you don’t have to offend her just to play along, I don’t even know what she’s planning against you.”

It was clear that she was really worried about him.

”Are you worried about me?” Trevor’s gaze was gentle, looking up at her.

The girl met his gaze, blurting out, ”I owe you enough already, I can’t keep dragging you into this, right? Our family matters are chaotic, I can’t even handle it myself, so I definitely don’t want you involved.”

”Then...” Trevor thought for a moment, hesitating because he wasn’t sure if the timing was right.

”Then what?”

”Then, if, I mean if.” He looked into her eyes seriously and asked, ”If I want to help you handle it together?”

She was stunned for a moment.

He said, ”I’m not afraid of being involved.”
