Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1343: Chapter 1343: Just Let Them Be

”I know.” Carlotta Sterling sighed, turning her eyes to answer her, ”Janelle told me, I just didn’t believe it.”

So, it turned into such a big misunderstanding~!

”I’m sorry.” Carlotta sincerely apologized, holding her hand, ”I caused trouble for you, it’s all my fault.”

”It’s okay, it’s okay.” Mrs. Hawthorne was open-minded, ”Do you think Julian looks like someone who would care? He’s quite open about it, and Trevor is his friend, so this isn’t awkward at all. Just clarify things and it’s fine.”

Finally, she added, ”Besides, I think Janelle and Trevor are quite a match.”

The scenery in the backyard was pleasant, and the three young people sat down on the outdoor sofa.

A gentle breeze carried the fragrance of flowers.

Servants brought tea and snacks and respectfully bowed to them before turning to leave.

A large area of roses came into view, swaying gently with the wind.

Julian Hawthorne thought, since she doesn’t want a blind date and would find someone to impersonate, he might as well make Mrs. Mills give up completely, so she wouldn’t arrange another gentleman for her.

As for his thoughts, Janelle Mills was well aware, and she was full of gratitude toward him.

But in front of Trevor, she couldn’t speak directly, because the act had to go on. Wouldn’t it be awkward to reveal it herself?

Trevor sat in the chair, elegantly crossing his legs, holding a teacup, his gaze drifting toward the sea of roses, his expression gentle with a hint of subtle detachment.

He was actually kissed! His eyes half-closed, Trevor savored that dragonfly-touch moment.

Janelle took a sip of tea, feeling slightly awkward in the silence.

Thinking back to how she boldly kissed him in the courtyard earlier, she didn’t dare to look him in the eyes, her heart pounding wildly.

In the living room, Carlotta chatted with her friend while secretly searching with her phone, typing Trevor’s name in the search bar.

Many pieces of information about him popped up.

A row of resumes caught Carlotta’s full attention, and she was internally amazed.

”What’s wrong?” Mrs. Hawthorne noticed she was obviously lost in thought, ”What are you looking at? Is it so captivating?”

Without hesitation, she handed the phone to her, ”Trevor.”

”What’s up with Trevor?” Mrs. Hawthorne picked up a teacup, smiling, ”Isn’t he handsome?”

”He’s actually David Dalton’s son, with a rich resume and impressive abilities.” Frankly, Mrs. Mills was stunned by him, ”He’s comparable to your Julian.”

Yes, in that moment, she recognized Trevor.

”Otherwise, how could they be friends? They’re both equally outstanding, sharing the same vibe.” Mrs. Hawthorne advised her, ”You should stop focusing on our Julian so much. Since Trevor and your Janelle are so well-matched, you might as well agree to this marriage. It’s hard to find such quality guys nowadays; there aren’t many in Riventhal.”

”...” Carlotta felt a little conflicted inside. Well, it wasn’t really conflicted, more like awkward.

Perhaps, she should have believed her daughter yesterday.

Truly, she felt like she was the real fool all along.

Anyway, with Julian Hawthorne’s divine assistance, Carlotta finally believed her daughter was in love, and she accepted this fact.

However, to Mrs. Hawthorne, she still felt apologetic, even as a friend.

Luckily, Mrs. Hawthorne was magnanimous, considering it just a passed misunderstanding and not to dwell on it.

They had lunch there.

Mrs. Hawthorne had the chef prepare many dishes, and the atmosphere relaxed considerably.

Trevor and Carlotta had a simple exchange, and Janelle was very pleased with Trevor’s performance because he cooperated well without messing things up.

As they were leaving, Mrs. Hawthorne and her son saw them off to the courtyard.

Two cars, three people, so with whom was Janelle going to leave?
