Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1338: Chapter 1338: Julian Hawthorne Only Trusts His Feelings

Since there are guests coming today, the servants are preparing fruit platters and snacks in the villa, and some are boiling water for tea or brewing coffee.

Mrs. Hawthorne arranged everything early in the morning.

Julian Hawthorne also cleared his schedule for the day and composed himself, waiting for today’s matchmaking meeting.

”Julian, aren’t these Louis XIV roses the most stunning?” Mrs. Hawthorne, wearing a tailored cheongsam, still exuded charm with her fair skin and graceful demeanor, her every move full of feminine allure.

Julian knew his mother loved roses, especially these purple Louis XIV ones.

He had heard his mother often tell the story of these purple roses from a very young age.

”Every flower is stunning,” Julian smiled warmly and said, ”Perhaps Mother is deeply moved by the love story, which is why she favors them?”

”But the purple flowers appear more noble, and Mother loves purple.” The woman paused her pruning, stood up straight to admire the roses around her, ”Napoleon’s wife, Empress Josephine, loved this flower the most in her lifetime.”

”Sometimes I really envy Mother,” Julian said sincerely, ”At this age, her heart still harbors that of a young girl, filled with happiness.”

”That’s because I met the right person in this life.” Mrs. Hawthorne was very satisfied with her marriage because Mr. Hawthorne understood her and cherished her.

Mother and son exchanged glances.

Julian had a gentle smile on his face, and Mrs. Hawthorne also smiled, ”Have you looked at Janelle’s profile?” from last night that she had given him.

”No.” His voice was low and melodious, he said, ”I don’t want to look. I want to form a first impression when I meet her in person and decide for myself if she’s the one I’m looking for.”

”Though she grew up in a single-parent family and lived with her mother, her mother is very accomplished, and she was my high school classmate.”

”You’ve mentioned this, and I remember.” Julian told her, ”Marriage is a matter between two people. As long as we like each other, I won’t be concerned about her family background.”

”Hmm.” Mrs. Hawthorne also looked forward to it, ”They should be arriving soon.”

Mysteriously, Julian felt a bit of anticipation for the matchmaking today, perhaps because the roses were so beautiful, creating a pleasant illusion.

Soon, a guest vehicle appeared at the entrance of the courtyard, slowing down as it approached the yard.

”They’ve arrived.” Mrs. Hawthorne put down her scissors, joyfully patted her son’s shoulder, and, in high spirits, walked towards the car.

All the way there, Janelle Mills sent a text message to Trevor: I’m almost there, hurry up.

At that time, Trevor had just left his house.

He originally planned to visit Ethan at the hospital, as he hadn’t seen him for quite some time.

The completion of the Jin Bi development was something he should also inform his father about.

But after receiving Janelle Mills’ message, he immediately changed his mind and decided to go rescue her first.

At the intersection ahead, Trevor turned the steering wheel to the right, taking a different route.

Just then, his phone rang. With one hand on the steering wheel, he took out his phone with the other, glanced at the caller ID, and answered, ”Hey, Stella.”

”Bro, can you find some time today to visit Ethan?”

Mia Lane’s gentle voice came through, ”He’s been recovering well lately and misses you a bit. Yesterday, he asked to see his brother. I told him you’ve been busy lately, but this morning he refused to eat breakfast and started to act up, thinking you don’t love him anymore.”
