Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1339: Chapter 1339: First Encounter

”I’ll come by in the afternoon,” Trevor said to her, ”I have something urgent right now and can’t get away. Are you at the hospital? Pass the phone to him, I want to say a few words.”

Obviously, Trevor was quite concerned about Janelle Mills.

But this slow-to-warm person might not even have realized it himself.

Ethan Dalton answered the call, ”Brother.” His voice was soft.

Trevor, driving the car, patiently said a few words to him.

Finally, he reassured him, ”Ethan, be good, eat breakfast first, listen to your sister, and I promise I’ll come to see you this afternoon, okay?”

”Then you must come, brother. Ethan will be waiting for you.”

”Alright, brother will definitely come, pinky promise!”

”Pinky promise, brother. Bye-bye~”

”Bye-bye.”

Trevor hung up the phone and put it down, accelerating the car as he didn’t want Janelle to wait long since she was already there.

Driving along, Trevor suddenly realized that the final address of the shared location... why did it look so familiar?

He opened the map and zoomed in, puzzled, ”Julian Hawthorne’s house?”

Could it be...

Her arranged date is with Julian Hawthorne?

Trevor was shocked, stunned for a long time, and a trace of panic swept through his mind as the thought crossed.

Should he still help with this?

Wouldn’t going there just disrupt Julian’s scene?

Trevor slowed down, falling into deep thought.

Remembering yesterday’s chat about love with Julian, who said he didn’t have time and wasn’t opposed to arranged dates, being too busy usually and getting older, he couldn’t find a girlfriend.

Trevor thought Janelle was a nice girl and seemed compatible with Julian.

Yet, the thought of pushing her into Julian’s embrace discomforted him inexplicably; he floored the gas pedal, speeding up again!

It was a peaceful and beautiful morning, with a strong aroma of roses wafting through the Hawthorne family’s garden; the clouds gradually dispersed, dawn unveiled bright eyes, and colorful sunrise slowly spread.

In the garden, the car door opened, and Janelle and her mother got out together.

The sight of flowers blooming magnificently deeply captured their gaze.

Carlotta Sterling had always known Julian’s mom loved to grow roses and tended to them personally.

Janelle was completely taken aback; this was extraordinarily stunning—a vast sea of roses!

”Good morning, Carlotta~!” Julian’s mom, dressed in a cheongsam, joyfully hugged Carlotta, ”It’s been such a long time!”

”Long time no see, darling.” Carlotta smiled, returning the hug.

As the two elders shared this simple embrace, Julian’s gentle gaze fell on the girl entranced by the roses.

She had attractive features and fair skin, her lively eyes sparkling, the purple dress fitting her perfectly, accentuating her figure.

A breeze lifted her hair, and she tucked the strands blowing against her face behind her ear, her every gesture slightly alluring.

Just one look, and Janelle made a great impression on Julian.

Indeed, he liked this girl.

”Julian, this is Aunt Carlotta Sterling,” Julian’s mom spoke warmly, ”And this is Janelle, right?” Her kind gaze settled on the girl.

Janelle snapped back to reality, ”Hello, Auntie.”

The two young people almost simultaneously withdrew their gaze, greeting each other’s mothers.

Julian was polite and gentle-mannered, exuding a calm aura.

When he looked at Janelle again, she also happened to glance at him.

Their eyes met briefly before she quickly looked away, continuing to admire the roses.

”Julian,”

Julian’s mom noticed that her prospective daughter-in-law also loved flowers, so she said, ”Why not accompany Janelle for a walk in the garden? You’ve studied photography, take some photos of her?”
