Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1326: Chapter 1326: Vera Ford Is Going Crazy

In the car.

Cecilia Dunn told her that Jocelyn and Dr. Shelby are truly a loving couple, and even though they’ve only recently gotten together, their relationship is really stable.

They have also been through a bit of ups and downs, and now their relationship should be even more solid.

Janelle Mills listened silently, only feeling quite awkward.

This might be the biggest blunder of her life, right?

Being kind-hearted, she felt full of guilt towards Jocelyn Morgan.

Trevor was right earlier; she owes that girl an apology.

At this moment, Vera Ford, unsuccessful, stood by the riverbank, in the radiance of thousands of rays, she reached out to hold onto the railing, facing the slightly cool river breeze of early winter...

Her hair was tousled by the wind, but it couldn’t blow away the worries deep within her heart.

Her gaze coldly looked up at the sky as blue as washed, the winter sun is not warm enough, always wrapped in a chill, much like the human heart.

Earlier, seeing Jocelyn Morgan holding Ian Shelby’s arm, they were laughing and talking, deeply hurting her sleepless night.

With bad emotions surging, she nearly made a move on Jocelyn Morgan!

In her bag slung across her shoulder was a shiny fruit knife, newly purchased, not intended for cutting fruit.

But who was the girl who forcibly took Jocelyn Morgan away?

It seemed like she wasn’t friendly towards Jocelyn either, was there some conflict?

Vera Ford suddenly recalled a wise saying — the enemy of my enemy is my friend!

She suddenly wanted very much to find and get to know that girl!

But does that girl also like Ian Shelby?

Vera Ford couldn’t help but panic a little again.

Thinking about someone else liking Ian Shelby, a wave of jealousy surged within Vera Ford’s heart! She felt particularly uneasy again.

Just then, her phone rang; she took it out to check, it was her mother calling, ”Hello, Mom.” She composed herself and answered.

”Xiaowei, lately there’s always been blood in my throat, an old doctor nearby said, bleeding should be taken seriously, it could be a sign of a serious illness.”

”How are you feeling? Are there any other discomforts?” Vera Ford worried, feeling tense all over.

”No, I’m fine, really!” Her mother hastened to reassure her, ”You don’t need to worry too much. I just want to have a check-up. After all, the conditions at home are getting better, you and your brother have grown up, your father and I also want to take care of ourselves more, live longer and help you with the kids.”

”I’ve always advised you to get check-ups, and you always resisted.” Vera Ford felt relieved too, ”Finally you’ve come to your senses, right? Any issues need prevention, if there are no issues, you can rest assured because the body is your own.”

”Yes, what you said makes sense.” Lin’s mother said, ”But your dad said, don’t do it in the small town, your daughter is a doctor, and Ian Shelby’s hospital, all the facilities must be advanced, so we’re planning to come into town today to see you, and do the check-up at your hospital. We brought some local specialties to give to Ian Shelby to thank him for taking care of you.”

Vera Ford’s face changed, she felt nervous!

Her mind quickly raced, ”Mom, a check-up is just basic tests, the county hospital can do it, besides it takes two hours by car to get to Riventhal, it’s too tiring.”

Lin’s mother laughed and said, ”We’re already on the way, we will be there soon, make an appointment with Ian Shelby for lunch, so I can give him these specialties.”

”He... he’s on a business trip.” Vera Ford laughed while speaking, not wanting her parents to know about the situation here.

”How could that be?” Lin’s mother didn’t believe it, ”What kind of business trip does a doctor have? Vera, don’t be shy, sometimes a girl needs to be proactive. If you’re embarrassed to ask him out, I’ll help you ask! I’ll call him now!”

”No!” Vera Ford was startled, ”Don’t call him! He’s very busy!”

Her daughter’s reaction instantly told Lin’s mom that her daughter had lied just now, Ian Shelby wasn’t on a business trip.

Lin’s mom smiled and said, ”Alright, alright, we’ll talk when I get there, your dad’s coming too, we’ll arrive soon. The weather seems nice lately, let’s take a walk together, I’ll hang up now, it’s noisy in the car, I’ll call you when we arrive!”

Vera Ford held the phone that had been hung up, she was flustered and speechless.

Such a hassle!
