Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1276: Chapter 1276: Just Miss Him a Little

The few words usually convey the message, ”I miss you.”

Staring at the phone for a long time, she didn’t receive a reply from him, not even seeing the ’typing...’ at the top.

So, is he busy?

Did her message disturb him?

After sending the message, Jocelyn Morgan felt a little regretful.

If Ian Shelby misses her, he’ll send her a message, right?

Since he didn’t send her a message, does that mean he didn’t think of her all day?

They’ve just gotten together; maybe their relationship isn’t strong yet?

But Jocelyn really likes him, wishing she could see him every moment.

Sitting on the sofa, staring at her phone screen, she sighed repeatedly and felt a bit regretful for taking the initiative.

Shouldn’t a girl be more reserved?

Guys like him must like girls who are reserved, right?

One minute, two minutes, three minutes passed...

Still, no message from Ian Shelby.

Jocelyn tossed the phone into the sofa, got up, and sat in front of the dressing table, picking up eye cream and applying some while looking in the mirror.

She was still wondering if he would reply to her message.

Could he be with Vera Ford?

After applying eye cream, she put some hand cream on the back of her hand, and just as she was rubbing it in, the WeChat notification sound rang.

The young girl’s heart warmed, excitedly getting up to run to the sofa, she picked up the phone and looked at it, her smile froze – the message wasn’t from Ian Shelby!

It was Cecilia Dunn.

She sat on the sofa and opened the voice message her best friend had sent—

”Jocelyn, want to go shopping tonight? I feel like going out; I’ll buy you something to eat?”

But tonight, Jocelyn wanted to invite Ian Shelby to dinner! Yet she hadn’t received his reply.

Holding the phone, she thought for half a minute and decided to wait a bit longer.

”I’ll reply to you a bit later,” Jocelyn also sent a voice message back; she was a girl who followed her heart’s desires, and she wanted to wait a little longer.

”Okay, have you been busy lately?”

”Not too bad,” Jocelyn sent a voice message asking her, ”That scumbag Howard Sawyer hasn’t been bothering you, has he?”

”No, we’ve blocked all contact with him. Don’t worry. I won’t fall into the same trap three times; if he deceives me again, I deserve it!”

”A hundred likes for you!”

”Jocelyn, how’s it going with that doctor? Enjoying your time together?”

”It’s okay, but he’s quite busy.”

”It’s so hard to have a relationship, and you’re in the same city; how come it feels like long-distance? My mom was right; don’t be with someone too busy, as they’ll focus on work, not you.”

”What can I do? I like him,” Jocelyn said helplessly, ”The decision made by my heart, I can’t control.”

”Oh no, you’re in a pit,” Cecilia said, ”I wish you happiness.”

So, Jocelyn and Cecilia chatted intermittently; half an hour quickly passed...

The topics between them were also exhausted.

Still, Ian Shelby hadn’t replied to her message.

Staring at that chat box, Jocelyn couldn’t help but feel a bit dejected, ”Is he so busy that he can’t even reply to a message?”

Providence Hospital.

Ian Shelby, wearing a white coat, showing the collar of his shirt underneath, with a stethoscope around his neck, had just finished a surgery not long ago.

He gave off a cheerful vibe, like a great hero.

Some patient’s family came over to communicate with him; his eyes were bright, and he earnestly met others’ gaze, jotting down something in a notebook with a pen.

In short, he was in a very busy state.

He was used to setting WeChat on silent, so he wouldn’t get alerts for any incoming messages.

”Dr. Shelby, my family member, Old Chapman’s condition needs your continuous guidance. After all, he only listens to the doctor’s words now, always feeling like he can never get better, but everything has a process, right? You just need to prescribe the right treatment.”

”Alright, I’ll go see him in a bit,” Ian Shelby, as gentle as jade, especially patient.

The patient’s family thanked him again and then turned to head to the ward.

Ian Shelby also turned and walked into the office, taking out his phone only to discover Jocelyn had messaged him.

And it had been sent an hour ago.

So, he hurriedly dialed her number.
