Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1266: Chapter 1266: Sorry, Name Your Price

William sat down in the chair, his fingers leisurely tapping on the table, and looked up—

”I’m just proving something. If you two really are a couple, I might reconsider.” As he spoke, he turned his eyes to the window and reminded, ”Don’t try to escape. You have no chance, and taking her along, even less.”

”Mr. Trevor, Ms. Mills, please.” The subordinates were rather polite.

Janelle Mills was completely stunned!

What was going on?

How to prove it?

Stay in the same room??

Sleep on the same bed??

Suddenly, she felt scared!

Trevor held her hand tightly, guiding her as they followed William’s subordinates. He was calmly thinking of a strategy; Stella should be able to sense his predicament, right?

After all, she’s so smart.

They reached the stairway.

Demi, who wouldn’t let go of the railing even if it killed her, suddenly shouted at them, ”There’s surveillance in that room! Don’t expose your privacy! I’m afraid my dad will threaten you!”

Trevor and Janelle stopped, looking at the girl gripping the rail, with two helpless subordinates beside her.

”Demi...” Janelle had so much she wanted to say to her, but didn’t know where to start.

Trevor’s face suddenly darkened, the room actually had surveillance?

Is there no human rights anymore?!

Under house arrest?

”Mr. Trevor, Janelle, I’m sorry...” Demi said, her eyes filled with tears and an apologetic expression, ”I didn’t think things would turn out this way. I thought if Mr. Trevor was single, he’d definitely like me! Around here, there’s a long line of men wanting to marry me!”

”Demi...”

”Janelle, but I won’t compete with you now! Even though I really like him.” Demi hid her sadness and sorrow, ”Don’t worry, I won’t agree to marry him! We’ll fight against Dad together!”

”Miss Demi.” Trevor said, deeply moved, ”Thank you.”

The girl smiled and shook her head, ”You’re welcome.” Her eyes full of affection as she looked at the man.

At this moment, William, upon hearing the commotion, came over. Whether they marry or not is a later issue; right now, he just wants to corner Trevor!

Just wanted to find out the truth!

”Take them back to the room!” he angrily ordered his subordinates, not considering his daughter’s feelings, ”Bring Miss to the study!”

”Mr. Trevor, Ms. Mills, please.”

Trevor didn’t want to make it hard for the subordinates, so he followed them up the stairs.

Janelle’s small hand was always held in Trevor’s palm, damp and warm, the palm’s temperature alternating.

Demi was also taken back to the study, going against her father’s wishes, which she regretted but did not feel sorry for.

At the door of a bedroom on the third floor, Trevor glanced at Janelle, then led her inside.

The door was closed by the subordinates, seemingly... also locked from the outside.

What now?

As a girl, Janelle was sure to be flustered internally.

Even though she trusted Trevor’s character, he was, after all, a full-blooded man, and being alone with him in a room was not ideal.

As soon as Trevor entered the room, he spotted a hidden camera beside the ceiling lamp.

In the study.

William sat at the desk watching the surveillance, with Demi called to his side.

The computer screen displayed the image of that bedroom.

Demi was a little afraid to watch; seeing them holding hands made her feel an infinite sadness spreading inside her...

She liked Trevor, having seen his photo, having read his resume.

”They are not a couple.” William confidently told his daughter, ”Don’t worry, Trevor really is single.”

But none of this mattered to Demi anymore, because Trevor didn’t like her at all, and she didn’t want to marry him.

In the bedroom.

Trevor turned around and hugged Janelle, ”I’m sorry.” he said very softly, ”There’s really a camera beside the ceiling light, and it can record sound.”

So terrifying!

How could such a perfect estate have such a room?

”I’m sorry this has wronged you.” Trevor didn’t hug her tightly; he was a gentleman, and his apology was sincere, ”Janelle, name your price, and I’ll pay you double.”

”You...” the girl was scared, how would she get through this night?
