Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1274: Chapter 1274: Everyone Misses Trevor

Mia Lane also took a step towards her brother and came to his side, ”Brother, what’s her name?” she asked with a smile, actually having a pretty good impression of Janelle.

”She’s just a friend of mine.” Trevor guessed what his sister was thinking, so he explained, ”We’ll drop her off at the airport first and then head off; I’m afraid William might make things difficult for her.”

Saying she was just a friend meant there was no need to ask her name.

Mia Lane looked up at him, and as she looked, she smiled, clearly showing her concern.

Trevor asked in confusion, ”What’s wrong?”

”This is the first time I’ve seen you care so much about a girl,” his sister withdrew her gaze. She had a hunch that there might be something between these two.

However, Trevor shook his head and didn’t explain anything.

He turned and walked towards the banquet hall to find William to arrange a vehicle for Janelle.

Janelle Mills’ luggage was easy to pack, just a few pieces of clothing.

Carrying her suitcase out the door, Demi, standing at the entrance, embraced her gently, apologetically saying, ”Janelle, I’m sorry for giving you such a bad experience.”

”This isn’t your fault.” Janelle Mills didn’t mind and instead patted her on the back, ”Let’s travel together again when we have time. It’s my mom’s birthday; I have to go home to accompany her.”

”I hope our friendship hasn’t been hindered.” Demi really liked her, ”I hope you are happy and wish to see you again in the future.”

”Mmm, I hope you also find happiness.”

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Demi held her hand and accompanied her downstairs.

William arranged a car for Janelle Mills, and in the yard, Trevor helped her load her suitcase, ”Check the airfare now.”

”I just checked, there’s a flight.”

”Send me a message when you’re on the plane,” Trevor reminded her again, worried that William might cause trouble.

This detailed concern, this gentle language, gave Janelle Mills a fleeting illusion; it felt a lot like love.

”Okay.”

But she quickly regained her composure and didn’t dare to look at him again.

Trevor opened the car door for her, and the girl bent down and got into the car.

She knew this might be the last time they meet...

Riventhal dared not go back; his mom would lose her temper.

Before the car started, Janelle Mills turned to look out the window, and Trevor and Demi waved at her; she waved back at them without saying much.

Then the car drove away.

Not far away, Mia Lane kept watching their interaction until the car drove off, and Trevor was still standing in the yard, watching that car leave.

Justin Kingston furrowed his brows slightly, his hands inserted in his pants pockets.

After a moment, Trevor walked over, and Justin Kingston asked directly, ”Who is she? Why isn’t she going back to Riventhal with us?”

”Her mother is in Korland,” Trevor told him, ”She needs to go back to celebrate her mother’s birthday.”

Justin Kingston nodded thoughtfully, recalling the scene of them spending the night together, realizing some things needn’t be clarified.

Everyone’s an adult here.

He wondered, will this girl come back to Riventhal again?

About three hours later, Trevor received a message from Janelle Mills telling them she was safe. Only then did they say goodbye to William’s family and board a private jet.

Demi stood at the airport, looking longingly at the aircraft as it taxied onto the runway, slowly taking off, heading towards Riventhal...

She thought her first love had ended.

On the plane to Korland, by the window seat, Janelle Mills looked at the overlapping clouds outside, and an overwhelming sense of loss filled her heart, tears uncontrollably wetting her eyes.

She didn’t know why, but she missed Trevor so much.
