Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1263: Chapter 1263: Janelle Is My Girlfriend

William was taken aback. He has a girlfriend??

Since when?

According to the information gathered, he was clearly single!

Therefore, William didn’t believe it. He laughed heartily and asked, ”Who’s your girlfriend? Why don’t you give her a video call?”

Thinking about Jocelyn being with Ian, a pang of pain struck Trevor’s heart.

Under the influence of alcohol, for a moment, he missed Jocelyn intensely.

If Jocelyn were with him, this trip to Darcy Manor would surely include her.

”Can’t say, can you?” William stared at him and laughed again. ”Trevor! If you marry my Demi, not only can you secure this project partnership, but you can also have the entire manor! She is my only daughter, and everything I have will belong to you! I can make you truly wealthy, as long as you treat her well!”

”Janelle Mills is my girlfriend.” Trevor lifted his gaze, bravely meeting his stare, his handsome brows furrowed with authority.

William’s laughter stopped, and meeting Trevor’s eyes, he asked incredulously, ”What did you say?”

”I said I have a girlfriend. I won’t marry Miss Demi, nor will I agree to be your son-in-law.” Trevor’s attitude was clear, humble and sincere. ”Thank you for your affection.”

”You’re with Janelle Mills?” William looked him in the eye. ”I don’t believe it!”

Then William glanced toward the door and ordered loudly, ”Go call Miss Mills up here! I want a confrontation!”

”Yes, sir.”

Hearing footsteps growing distant, Trevor’s noble and composed face seemed calm but was indeed quite uncertain.

Can that girl handle the situation?

William kept his gaze fixed on him, trying to discern his inner thoughts through his expression.

After all, William did not believe a word of what he just said.

Downstairs, someone soon found Janelle Mills. ”Miss Mills, Mr. William requests your presence upstairs.”

”Ah?”

Not only was Janelle stunned, but even Demi was shocked. Why call her?

”What’s daddy want with her?” Demi asked in total confusion.

The assistant replied, ”Not sure, but Mr. Trevor is also there. Miss Mills, please come with me, don’t keep them waiting.”

Janelle seemed to understand something; Trevor must be in trouble. He’d mentioned earlier in the garden that he needed her help.

Thus, Janelle glanced at Demi, then at the man who had just descended the stairs, ”Alright.” Then followed in stride.

”I’m going too!” Demi, worried and curious, quickly followed them upstairs.

Janelle actually had a pretty good impression of Trevor; otherwise, she wouldn’t have agreed to her dad’s proposal for a blind date, as she despised blind dates.

However, after being fooled by him, she did harbor some resentment, since it had been quite embarrassing.

But due to the incident at the airport, she thought he was quite responsible.

And just tonight at the ball, he had come to her rescue.

In Janelle’s heart, she already regarded him as a friend.

Once upstairs, the assistant led her into the study.

While Demi stopped outside the door, leaned against the wall, and gestured to the assistant to keep quiet, hoping he would keep things confidential.

She planned to eavesdrop from outside!

Janelle had been afraid of entering the study since childhood, as its atmosphere always induced anxiety. Whenever she was in trouble, her mother, truly angry, would demand she stand in the study as punishment.

Staring at those books, she always felt a tingling sensation on her scalp.

So, as soon as she entered, she inexplicably felt a little panicked.

Trevor heard her footsteps, calmly turned to glance at her, lightly smiled, and extended his hand towards her.

Janelle met his gentle gaze, unable to comprehend his intentions, but walked towards him step by step. When their eyes met, she learned something from his expression.

As she approached, Trevor proactively took her hand.
