Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 146: Chapter 146: Why Are You in Her Room?

”You’re welcome.” She stood up holding the medicine bottle, ”Madam, you can tell me if you feel uncomfortable at any time.”

”Alright.”

Then Cora and Ian went upstairs.

Justin stayed downstairs and chatted with his mother for a while, saying things to help rebuild her confidence.

Through this, Kristina’s trust in Cora deepened a little. She no longer resisted the treatment or doubted Cora’s abilities because she was young.

After going upstairs, Cora entered the bedroom. She locked the door and removed her disguise, turning back into Mia.

Finally, she could take a break and let her face breathe.

Standing in front of the bed, she suddenly missed the children. Gigi and Dolly were under the same roof but had to pretend to be strangers; it was a painful experience. If it continued for a few more days, she might emotionally collapse.

How could she see the children, talk to them, or hug them?

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door behind her.

She became immediately alert, putting away all nonessential thoughts. She quickly put on her disguise and composed herself within three seconds before opening the door.

To her surprise, it was Justin standing at the door.

Seeing her, his gaze was gentle, and he rested one hand on the door frame, standing there contentedly while watching her lovingly and earnestly.

Mia turned back into the room.

Justin followed her inside, closing and locking the door.

She took off her disguise again, really needing to let herself breathe; after wearing the disguise all day, her ears were hurting.

As soon as she put down the mask, Justin hugged her waist from behind, gently holding her, ”Thank you, Mia.”

The warmth of the man’s breath lingered near her ear, causing her heart to race slightly.

She felt a moment of realization.

”I want to see the children, to hug them and talk to them.” She didn’t resist because she had a favor to ask, ”Could you arrange it for me?”

”Of course.” Justin gently turned her shoulders, unable to resist cupping her little face and kissing her deeply.

During these days, he had missed her too!

Outside, a car parked steadily in the courtyard, and Monica Usher stepped out of the driver’s seat.

Today, she specially dressed up, not wearing a smart professional outfit but in something youthful—a soft silk fairy dress in ocher yellow paired with high heels.

The flowing waves of her hair bounced on her shoulders, making her look very classy.

”Hello, Ms. Usher.” The butler greeted her at the door.

She was very polite too, ”Hello, Butler,” always smiling.

Upstairs in Cora’s bedroom, Justin was embracing Mia in a passionate kiss, one of the only ways he could express his longing for her over the past few days.

At night without her, he couldn’t sleep.

After some time, there was another knock on the door; Justin didn’t want to let go, absorbed in their kiss.

”Mm...” Mia struggled and forced herself to push him away, frowning as she glanced toward the door.

She was very uneasy.

Justin was about to open the door when she hugged him tightly, ”Don’t go, it might not be Ian.”

Then she quickly tidied her clothes and hair, putting on the disguise as fast as possible.

Outside, Monica Usher frowned in confusion; her aunt had said Justin was upstairs, but the medicine research room was occupied only by Ian.

She had searched all the rooms upstairs, but had not seen Justin; only Cora’s room was closed.

Could Justin be inside?

She knocked again and surprisingly, it was Justin who opened the door!

They exchanged looks, and Monica was stunned, instinctively glancing inside but seeing no sign of Cora.

”Why are you in her room?” Monica asked jealously but in a well-mannered way, ”Why took so long to open the door? What were you two doing?” she inquired.

She wanted answers, so she tried to step inside but was stopped by Justin.
