Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Only Ten Days Given

”It’s not mommy, it’s Dr. Yates,” Gigi quickly reminded her. ”Little sister must remember this!”

”Yes,” Ian Shelby worriedly added, ”Make sure not to reveal the truth, or it would all be in vain.”

”Oh.” Dolly nodded obediently. ”I’ve remembered.”

Ian Shelby patted the child’s head, ”I’ll be off now. The rest is up to you guys. Waiting for your good news.”

”Just go without worry, we’ll definitely persuade grandma!”

Five minutes later—

The upstairs living room was simply luxurious, and quiet enough to hear a pin drop.

Mary crouched beside Kristina Kingston, holding her hand like a daughter, patiently persuading, ”Madam, don’t you want to dance gracefully in a dress among the flowers again? You loved dancing so much when you were young.”

”Can this Cora really be so miraculous?” Kristina Kingston was filled with inner conflict, ”I dislike the disappointment that follows hope. To me, it’s a form of despair.” Actually, she felt a tinge of temptation, but was afraid.

At this moment, the children arrived at the door.

”Grandma.”

Kristina Kingston looked up, Mary also stood up, and the children joyfully walked over.

Mary hurriedly went to fetch some snacks.

”Grandma, we accidentally overheard what Sister Mary said to you at the door just now.”

”Grandma, why won’t you accept the treatment? Medicine is so advanced now, anything is possible.” Dolly tilted her little head, ”You’re so tall; if the treatment succeeds, you’d certainly be a fairy.”

Kristina Kingston didn’t feel happy hearing this. She was far from being a fairy!

She was a devil with ugly scars all over her body!

Yet facing the innocent and lively children, she couldn’t utter a harsh word; she only felt time was tranquil.

She liked these two children but didn’t accept Mia Lane.

Often sighing, if they were born to Monica Usher, it would be perfect.

”You think grandma should accept the treatment too?” For some reason, she actually asked back.

This surprised Mary, who was entering with snacks. Madam was considering it!

She couldn’t help but quicken her pace, continuing to persuade gently, ”Madam, since you have free time anyway, why not give it a try!”

”Take the children downstairs to play, I need to think it over.”

Thinking meant there was hope.

So Gigi and Dolly waved goodbye to grandma and went downstairs.

Kristina Kingston returned to her room, locked the door, and sat down at the vanity.

The vanity was empty, with only a sandalwood comb.

Using skincare and makeup seemed like a thing of past life.

She opened a drawer and took out a photo album, flipping it open with mixed emotions. The person in the photo wore a beautiful dance costume, posing gracefully in a dance studio...

The smile on her face was beautiful and full of confidence.

After a year, she looked through the photos again, then personally dialed Ian Shelby’s number.

She said, ”Bring Cora over. I’ll arrange the room for you, but you only have ten days. If I don’t see any results by then, it counts as deception, and I’ll make sure you pay the price!”

Ten days??

Though Ian Shelby felt the time was short, she finally loosened up, so he immediately agreed, ”Alright.”

It’s still Gigi and Dolly who have the knack!

At least the attitude took a 180-degree turn. As for whether it’s ten days, twenty days, or several months, they could negotiate later, first moving into Clearwater Bay.

In the evening.

Ian Shelby successfully loaded the medical equipment onto the car and got on with Mia Lane.

The car drove towards Clearwater Bay.

”Do I look recognizable like this?” Mia Lane checked her outfit and looked at the exquisite mask on her face with her phone.

”I’m not able to recognize you,” Ian Shelby said, ”As long as she doesn’t suspect it’s you, she won’t be suspicious.”
