Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Clinging Like a Stubborn Leech

Finn Morgan let out a sigh on the other end of the call with Justin Kingston, ”Okay, I’ll postpone it for you, are you sure you won’t come for the next ten days?”

”I’m sure.”

Finn Morgan had a headache; he’d have to push back ten days’ worth of schedules.

After a while, Monica Usher heard Finn Morgan say, ”Then I’ll give you video reports about work every night.”

Monica Usher was puzzled, not coming for ten days? What’s going on with him?

After the call ended, she walked in, ”Special Assistant Morgan, what’s up with CEO Kingston?”

Finn Morgan glanced back at her, ”President Usher.” Then he continued sorting the documents on the desk, ”He won’t be coming for the next ten days.”

”Is he sick?” The woman’s heart was lifted, ”Where is he?”

Finn Morgan paused his actions, ”CEO Kingston is at Clearwater Bay. He’ll be staying there for ten days and working from there during the day.”

Clearwater Bay?

Did something happen to Mrs. Kingston?

Monica Usher couldn’t help but feel a bit worried, but she didn’t ask further; presumably, Finn Morgan didn’t know either.

She handed a document to Finn Morgan, ”The DaKings project we are about to collaborate on has a not-so-great industry reputation. Why is CEO Kingston taking this project as a joke? Is he indebted to someone from there?”

”I’m not sure about CEO Kingston’s ideas, but he assessed all aspects and thought there’s no problem,” Finn Morgan said, ”He’s in charge of this; I didn’t give any input.”

”But the results of my investigation may not be that good.”

Finn Morgan said, ”You should trust CEO Kingston’s judgment.”

But Monica Usher only smiled, judging by his choice of spouse, it’s really hard to compliment him; he married a village woman.

She said nothing more and turned to leave.

Back in her own office, Monica Usher pondered carefully, trying to guess what exactly happened at Clearwater Bay?

Could it be that the relationship between Justin Kingston and Mrs. Kingston became strained because of her, so why would he stay at Clearwater Bay for ten days?

Moreover, Justin Kingston had been absent-minded lately... Is Mrs. Kingston’s condition worsening?

Or did he have a fight with Mia Lane? And doesn’t want to see her?

An hour later, at Clearwater Bay.

A car stopped, and Finn Morgan brought over a computer and some office supplies.

Upstairs in the research lab, someone was moving office furniture inside, leaving Ian Shelby and Cora Yates stunned!

”What’s this...”

Before she could finish asking, Justin Kingston also came in, hands in his pockets, clearing his throat lightly, as he brushed the corner of his mouth, and said to the two doctors not far away, ”From today, I’m here to supervise, accompanying you 24/7.”

Cora Yates gave him a calm look, and after a while, she turned her back and continued her drug research, really couldn’t believe he was this kind of person?

Ian Shelby thought, Justin Kingston married her fair and square, but what? Still hasn’t won her heart?

Why does it feel like he’s trying to woo a woman?

And Mia Lane was pondering, could it be that Justin Kingston has fallen for her?

He’s clearly bothered by her being with Ian Shelby, under the black mask, the small face couldn’t help but show a slight smile.

Mia Lane was even more resolute in her heart to cure his mother.

Because she loves him too.

Not long after Finn Morgan left, another car stopped in the courtyard downstairs.

The driver’s seat door opened, and Monica Usher got out holding a document, stepping down in high heels, under the sunlight, she casually closed the car door and walked to the trunk to pick up some carefully selected gifts.

She walked towards the living room.

”Madam, Ms. Usher is here.” Someone reported in the living room.

Kristina Kingston’s face lit up with a smile as she saw Monica Usher enter the living room, like seeing a ray of light.

Dressed in a white professional suit, she had a tall figure and an elegant, intellectual aura.

”Auntie.” Monica Usher quickened her pace with a smile.

”Monica, you’ve come!” Kristina Kingston also walked towards her, ”Didn’t I tell you? You don’t have to bring gifts every time, just come empty-handed, this isn’t someone else’s home.”
