Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Justin Kingston Reveals His Wounds

The environment on the terrace was particularly nice, with twinkling light strips entwined on the hollowed-out iron railings, and the potted plants in the corner were beautifully adorned.

Tonight, the starry sky was vast and intoxicatingly beautiful, the evening breeze carrying the scent of roses as it brushed against their faces.

”I reviewed the medical records today and analyzed the key points again.” Mia Lane spoke with the calm tone of a doctor, ”Skin graft surgery for old scars can be quite painful for the patient, and laser treatment is only moderately effective.”

The butler brought over tea and a fruit platter, and Mia Lane sat across the table from Justin Kingston.

”So, do you have a better plan?” Justin Kingston examined the teacup closely. ”Cure my mother’s wounds, and I’ll give you a billion dollars.”

Mia Lane didn’t like his way of conversing, ”Is having money so impressive?”

”That’s not what I meant.” Justin Kingston said earnestly, ”The position of Mrs. Kingston is already yours, other than money, I really don’t know what else to give you.”

”We’ll discuss the compensation later, for now, just remember what you said today.” Mia Lane flipped through her notes, ”You said your mother always keeps herself wrapped up and never exposes her wounds, even in her own villa.”

”Yes.”

”She must feel very self-conscious.” She said, ”Won’t let anyone easily see her whole body’s wounds.”

”Hmm.”

”So, I need to solve the first problem, to make her completely trust me.” Mia Lane said with a deep gaze, ”And that kind of trust is difficult because she has experienced treatment before and feels disappointed with doctors.”

The files clearly stated that eleven renowned doctors had treated her, but none had achieved good results, and the last one was kicked out irritably by Kristina Kingston.

Mia Lane said, ”Your mother doesn’t like me.”

Justin Kingston had considered this issue as well.

”During the skin healing process, excessive growth can occur.” Her voice was gentle, ”Some medications are needed to promote epidermal growth, those depressions need filling. Although I haven’t seen how deep they are, I can research and develop medication.”

She is the well-known Pharmacist Cora Yates, the mentor of the genius doctor Ian Shelby.

Justin Kingston trusted her ability to develop drugs.

Right now, the biggest problem was his mother’s refusal to accept her treatment.

”If your mother can truly face this fire disaster and stop shutting herself away, I have great confidence in her.” Mia Lane said with a serious look in her eyes, ”I can heal her emotional wounds, as long as you’re willing to trust me.”

”You want to know the cause of the fire, don’t you?” Justin Kingston’s gaze was deep.

She nodded, ”I am a doctor, and you should cooperate with me. No matter who I am, I am the mother of Gigi and Dolly, and it’s impossible for me to do anything unfavorable to their father.”

Justin Kingston certainly knew; he had always been able to judge people accurately.

Although this woman still seemed somewhat unpredictable, she wasn’t bad.

Their eyes met, and Justin Kingston chose to trust her.

In the business world, it was like walking on thin ice. To reach his current position and become a legend admired by everyone, there were only a few people Justin Kingston truly trusted.

”My mother’s name is Kristina Kingston. Since my father married into the Kingston family, I took my mother’s last name.” Justin Kingston paused, as if narrating someone else’s story, ”Ever since I was sensible, I felt that the relationship between my parents was different from everyone else’s.”

Mia Lane listened intently, not interrupting.

”When I was 12, I happened to discover on my father’s phone that he was intimately involved with another woman.”

His father had cheated?

Mia Lane held the teacup, sensing that Justin Kingston was exposing his own wounds.
