Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 135: Chapter 135: Distraught for Her

The two female makeup artists exchanged glances, not daring to waste any more time.

So, one of them gently touched her arm, bent down, and asked softly, ”Miss Dalton? Are you asleep? We need to start on your eye makeup.”

”Don’t bother me.” Sean Dalton stayed in a reclined position, ”Save the eye makeup for last and go do whatever else you need to do first.”

But eye makeup is the hardest! And it takes the longest time!

”Miss Dalton, the opening ceremony is about to start, and all the other actors are already made up.”

”Heh, I’m not just any actor.” Her eyes snapped open, and she sneered with disdain, ”I am the lead actress. If you can’t ensure both speed and quality, what right do you have to serve me? I can easily have the production team fire you.”

The two female makeup artists were left speechless, even their breathing became cautious.

Not far away, Anton Miller stood with his arms crossed behind a pillar, gazing coldly at this woman.

So this is the real Sean Dalton?

A model daughter?

An innocent princess?

A pure image?

A girlish style?

Turns out she’s unreasonable and arrogant behind the scenes, always looking down on others!

Why hasn’t the media reported on this? How has she stayed popular for so long?

”Hey, Anton!”

Someone’s shout startled Sean Dalton, causing her to sit up straight. She saw Anton Miller standing with his arms crossed by a pillar, leisurely turning his gaze as a guy ran up to him.

Sean Dalton felt a pang in her chest, he’s here too?

So... did he see her attitude towards the makeup artists just now?

Soon, Anton Miller left with that guy.

Lead actress Sean Dalton was especially angry, clenching her teeth as she questioned, ”Why didn’t you remind me there was someone nearby?”

”....”

”Miss Dalton, we were focused on your makeup and didn’t notice his presence.”

The opening ceremony was scheduled for 9:18 in the morning.

”Miss Dalton... can we do your eye makeup now?” the female makeup artist asked weakly.

She suppressed a surge of anger, ”Do it! Make it light, like the feeling of a lotus emerging from water.”

At the Kingston Group, the CEO’s office was on the 22nd floor of the building, a full 300 square meters of space, decorated in a light gray tone with a simple yet luxurious modern style.

Finn Morgan walked into the office in a business suit, ”CEO Kingston, are you really not going to the opening ceremony of ’Purple Gold Bay Love’? The director has already called three times, reminding you that you promised to attend when you invested.”

”I’m not going,” Justin Kingston said with a determined tone, as he sat in his office chair, typing on the keyboard.

Finn Morgan also knew it was because of Anton Miller.

But the CEO never breaks a promise once made.

After Finn Morgan left with the files, Justin Kingston closed his laptop.

He leaned back in his chair, realizing he was unsettled.

He couldn’t concentrate on work; where exactly had Mia Lane gone?

She left early in the morning, disappeared for a whole day, and hadn’t returned all night.

He couldn’t help but pick up the phone and dialed the home number, and it was Butler Shelby who answered, informing Mr. Kingston that the lady hadn’t come back, and her phone was unreachable.

”Alright, I understand.” He hung up the phone.

Justin Kingston really couldn’t understand, how could a living person just vanish into thin air? Could she be in danger?

He barely made it through to the afternoon.

Next door in the deputy CEO’s office, there were line upon line of coat racks along the walls, each packed with the latest fashion items from major brands, as the Kingston Group’s design department always excelled because the deputy CEO kept a close eye on fashion trends.

Monica Usher was puzzled, ”Barbara, isn’t CEO Kingston acting strange today? Why do I feel... he’s a bit absent-minded?”

”Is he?” Barbara Sutton replied while organizing files, ”I didn’t notice anything, isn’t he always so serious? That no-nonsense look, keeps strangers away.”

But only Monica Usher knew, this wasn’t him keeping strangers away; he was just distracted.

Earlier, after finishing a meeting, Monica Usher saw Justin Kingston and sensed his bad mood.

In the CEO’s office next door, Justin Kingston stood by the floor-to-ceiling window with his hands behind his back, gazing at the distant scenery.

He suddenly thought of a possibility, picked up his phone, and dialed Mary’s private number.

At this moment, Mary, who was busy in the kitchen, was stunned when she saw the number displayed on the screen!

Oh my God! Mr. Kingston is calling her actively??

She quickly wiped her hands with a towel and carefully answered the phone, ”Hello, Mr. Kingston.”

”Mary, is the lady at Clearwater Bay?” Justin Kingston asked calmly.

Mary responded truthfully, ”The lady isn’t here, but Mr. Kingston, I have some good news for you. Dr. Shelby and his mentor, a renowned master of medication, have arrived. They are staying at Clearwater Bay, and the lady is willing to accept treatment!”
