Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Does He Love Her, or Does She Love Him?

”Anton Miller?” Mia Lane was puzzled, ”What is he doing here?”

Jonah Woods told Mia Lane about his stay in the bamboo house for the past ten days and how he voluntarily gave art lessons to the children.

Mia Lane was surprised after hearing this, ”He came to give art lessons to the children? Is he capable?”

”He should be a professional painter, quite skilled. Yesterday, the children even prepared a farewell ceremony for him, forming an emotional bond over the ten days.” Jonah Woods gave a very objective evaluation, ”This guy looks a bit roguish, but his painting skills are decent.”

Then Jonah Woods took out two of his works from the room, ”Look, how about this color combination?”

Mia Lane looked at him strangely, ”Seems like you guys got along well these few days?” She took the painting, glanced at it briefly, and had already formed an opinion in her mind, ”Well, he’s got some skills.”

”He’s a decent person, also helped with washing dishes.”

Mia Lane returned to the village, not long after she helped Jonah Woods with the villagers’ health check-up.

She also sorted out the dried herbs.

Mia Lane didn’t stay overnight; she came over whenever she had time and had been in a very hectic state after returning to the village.

It was already late when she returned to Emerald Cove.

Night fell, and there was no bright moon today; only sparse starlight.

The blooming rose bushes in the courtyard seemed to be covered with a thin, dark veil. Their blooming posture swayed in the wind with a kind of alluring beauty.

The spacious villa had its living room brightly lit.

Justin Kingston was sitting on the sofa, reading a newspaper. His thin lips lightly pressed together, and a frightening aura enveloped around him.

Butler Shelby stood at the living room door, glancing outside now and then, wondering why the madam hadn’t returned yet.

Half an hour later—

A car light shone in, and the car drove into the courtyard.

Butler Shelby quickly went out to greet her. ”Madam, Mr. Kingston has been waiting for you for five hours.”

”Is there something?” She walked towards the living room as she turned her eyes, ”Why not call me?”

”I don’t know if there’s anything. He brought you a cake, but it was thrown in the trash can by him.”

She was puzzled, and upon entering the living room, she immediately saw the man sitting on the sofa.

Justin Kingston raised his eyes, his handsome face was cold.

Mia Lane stepped toward him and saw the cake in the trash can. Oh! Such a temper?

Thinking of how he bought her a cake, she came to the front of the sofa and crouched down, looked up at him, ”What did you want to see me for?”

Justin Kingston did not answer, purposely treating her as air.

”I went to Sunshine Village today.” She reported truthfully, ”I conducted a full-body health check for the villagers. Because I don’t plan to go tomorrow, I was a bit late finishing up tonight.”

Upon hearing her explanation, he was indifferent.

Could it be that the reason for his anger wasn’t about this?

Mia Lane thought about it, observing his deeply furrowed brows and displeased look, ”Well? Why are you angry?”

His expression darkened further, ”You didn’t go back to the village, asking Anton Miller to teach the children to paint, what do you mean?”

She stood up, raising her brow, ”What you just said is problematic! First, I didn’t ask him. He volunteered and acted on his own! I only found out today!”

”Keep your distance from him.” His cold glare swept across her, resembling a warning.

Mia Lane actually felt slightly afraid because he was genuinely angry.

But how should she explain?

”You don’t trust me?” She was speechless.

Justin Kingston put down the newspaper and got up, passing by her without looking back, heading upstairs, his entire silhouette exuding a commanding aura.

Mia Lane dared not explain rashly, fearing it would add fuel to the fire.

Justin Kingston’s authoritative style was famous in Riventhal, and touching his thunder point might even implicate the children.

Looking at the cake in the trash can, Mia Lane had mixed emotions.

After a while, she picked up the cake and placed it on the coffee table. Through the transparent packaging box, she could see the cake was smashed.

She squatted in front of the coffee table and carefully opened the packaging box.

This scene made Butler Shelby feel distressed, ”Madam...”
