Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

The Paranormal Fan did not hesitate.

The dwindling time before the opening of the Conference made her immediately rush toward the Aquatic Gym.

[You have issued a challenge to Gym Leader Dong Gua]

Dong Gua is the father of Oreburgh Gym Leader Piaotai. After Piaotai became a mine safety officer, he resolutely entrusted Oreburgh Gym to him and came to Pastoria City to become the Gym Leader here.

His specialty Attribute is Steel, and in order to clear the Gym challenge without a single misstep, the Paranormal Fan had put in a lot of work.

[You know Dong Gua’s Bastiodon has astonishing Defense Power, so when attacking, you deliberately avoided using physical Techniques]

On the screen.

Bastiodon kept launching a ferocious charge at Gengar, like a thick city wall on the move.

But Gengar relied on its agility to repeatedly dodge its attacks.

Even Bastiodon’s pride and joy, Metal Explosion.

“As expected, when battling a Pokémon with strong Evasion, the cannonball-style Metal Explosion simply can’t hit.” Baimu watched the metallic glob Bastiodon spat out once again land on empty ground and shook his head.

It was precisely because he had discovered early on the drawback of cannonball-style Metal Explosion that he racked his brains to convert it into a “Self-destruct” type, detonating directly on the body’s surface to raise the hit rate—

The results were remarkable.

Unfortunately, the more defense-focused Dong Gua evidently had no intention of changing Metal Explosion’s release method.

Baimu watched the Paranormal Fan cut through the opposition all the way, taking down Dong Gua’s Copper Bell, Steelix, Skarmory, and Magnezone in succession, and even defeating Bastiodon as well, and began looking forward to her final results.

[You have defeated Aquatic Gym Leader Dong Gua and obtained the Water Vein Badge]

With the eighth Badge in hand, the Paranormal Fan’s taut nerves finally relaxed completely, and she started touring the various islands that made up Pastoria City.

During this time she also visited the famous Aquatic Library.

It’s just a pity she didn’t, like the calligrapher, run into Wusong, one of the Four Heavenly Kings.

[You returned to Hearthome City to carry out your final special training for the upcoming League Conference. At the same time, you received news about those former little companions]

It was beyond the Paranormal Fan’s expectations.

Not every peer who had set out early on their journeys had obtained all eight Badges; among them she already counted as one of the standouts.

[You are quite shocked by this]

Baimu laughed.

Back then Ash Ketchum had had the same concern, and in the end, among those who set out in the same batch and obtained eight Badges, besides him, there was only Gary Oak.

The other two rookie Trainers who had taken Charmander and Bulbasaur started out smoothly, but later on began to suffer setbacks.

From this perspective, while the Paranormal Fan may lack the heaven-sent gifts of certain simulation targets, compared to ordinary Trainers she is several times stronger.

And to some extent, the Mysterious Physique also allowed the Paranormal Fan’s Pokémon to grow ahead of the curve?

Otherwise, if it were just about attracting Ghost-type Pokémon, some with Ordinary Talent could manage that; the Mysterious Physique really wouldn’t deserve to be marked in blue.

The screen shifted.

Very soon, the Paranormal Fan welcomed the League Conference she had been yearning for.

[You tell Melissa and your parents that you will definitely win all the way to the end and go up to the Champion Alliance to battle Zhulan]

As a Champion fangirl, the Paranormal Fan’s thinking was very straightforward.

It shows that setting aside the Mysterious Physique, she is, after all, just an ordinary Trainer.

The Sinnoh Alliance Conference was held on Lily Island, close to Marine City; the venue was composed of three small arenas and one main arena.

Preliminaries.

There was no suspense at all.

The Paranormal Fan easily defeated her opponents; the uncanny tricks of her Ghost-type Pokémon left the spectators in awe.

[You successfully advanced to the initial rounds]

The initial rounds counted from the top sixty-four, with a three-on-three format, totaling three rounds.

First round.

The Paranormal Fan’s win was fairly easy.

Only Drifblim even lost the ability to battle; Dusknoir and Froslass were both still in great shape, which greatly boosted her confidence.

[You believe that if you keep up this Momentum, you are bound to take the final championship]

The subsequent second and third rounds likewise did not pose much difficulty for the Paranormal Fan.

This made Baimu curious about just how strong the opponents in the deciding championship tournament must be to keep such a full-throttle Paranormal Fan from taking the title?

The answer surfaced quickly in the semifinals after the quarterfinals.

As the Paranormal Fan gradually began to feel strained, she ran into someone familiar—familiar to Baimu’s eyes.

“Leisi? That’s Leisi, right!”

He stared at that little pixel figure and then looked at the simulator’s narration; the text popping up there proved his guess absolutely correct.

The opponent the Paranormal Fan encountered was Shinji’s older brother, Leisi!

It was rare to run into another familiar face.

This also made Baimu start to get nervous; Leisi’s strength should be no weak matter—like his younger brother, he had participated in the League Conferences of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, and had also obtained six Symbols from the Battlefront Zone.

The only question was what stage the Leisi in the simulation was at.

On the light screen.

Leisi and the Paranormal Fan were locked in a fierce battle.

Just like his younger brother, he also had an exceptionally powerful Drapion; its swift Evil Attribute Techniques left the Paranormal Fan’s Ghost Companions hard-pressed to cope for a while.

When Froslass and Mismagius were successively defeated by Drapion, the Paranormal Fan had no choice but to send out her trump-card Pokémon—Washing Rotom.

[You had planned to keep Washing Rotom in reserve for the finals, but a powerful opponent forced you to send it out early]

It was apparently Leisi’s first time encountering Washing Rotom, and he still tried to deal with it using methods meant for Ghost-type Pokémon; the result was Drapion taking Washing Rotom’s Water Cannon head-on and losing the ability to battle.
