Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Luckily, Gengar and the others were quite effective.

[You defeated the Snow Peak Gym Leader Xiaosong and obtained the Snow Peak Badge]

With the fifth badge in hand, the paranormal fan seemed to completely relax and quickly escaped Snow Peak City, even giving up enjoying the snowscape, and hurried back to the warm central Sinnoh.

[You arrived at Hundred Generations City, a city blending the ancient and the modern]

The ancient ruins everywhere sparked great interest from the paranormal fan.

[You remember your idol Zhulan is an archaeologist, which further motivates your interest in Sinnoh’s ruins, but unfortunately, you don’t have the corresponding knowledge]

The paranormal fan, who is often bedridden, clearly lacked the support of ancient exploration knowledge, so she quickly gave up studying the statue formed by the fusion of Dialga and Parukia.

She rested overnight at the Pokémon Center, reported her journey progress to her parents, and remotely consulted Melissa on how to cultivate Froslass and Rotom.

The battle at Snow Peak Gym made her realize that three Pokémon were far from enough to fight to the end.

But Melissa seemed to only have research on Froslass and knew little about Rotom, even though it is a Ghost Attribute Pokémon.

This posed a difficulty for the paranormal fan.

[You decide to seek help online, but you don’t find a cultivation method; instead, you discover some interesting things]

The scene shifts.

The paranormal fan came to the dense forest with Gengar in tow.

“Could she be heading to the Forest Mansion?”

Baimu raised an eyebrow, contemplating how the mysterious physique ran to the haunted Forest Mansion, like lighting a lamp in a pit.

[You saw online that there is an abandoned mansion in Hundred Generations Forest, where people have seen rare Rotom, but it’s also very dangerous as it may contain ghosts]

The paranormal fan indeed went to the Forest Mansion, completely unaware of the gravity of the situation.

The simulator display moves upward.

A gloomy western-style mansion comes into view, it is clearly the paranormal fan’s destination.

Why does it even have its own effects?

Baimu looked at the mansion on the screen, mostly covered by shadows, wondering if the paranormal fan would thus fall into the Spirit Realm?

The first true adventure is to delve into such a dangerous place…

However.

Contrary to expectations, the Forest Mansion wasn’t haunted like in the game, or rather, it only had the Ghost-type Pokémon Rotom, without the known haunting butler ghosts and girl ghosts.

At least, the paranormal fan with a mysterious physique didn’t encounter any ghosts, only wild Rotoms, which liked to fly around various appliances.

The animation version is different from the game version!

“So what was the effect earlier for? Just simple shading? Such pixel art still involves light and shadow…” Baimu felt tricked by the simulator.

Or perhaps he had expected the paranormal fan’s mysterious physique to demonstrate some use.

[You see Rotom can change appearance through household appliances and can wield different attribute powers; this discovery makes you extremely happy]

The paranormal fan’s luck is quite good; just as she was stuck not knowing how to utilize Rotom’s abilities, she experiences a breakthrough.

Following this momentum, she turns Rotom into a microwave form, namely Heating Rotom, and returns to Hundred Generations City.

[You begin the Gym challenge]

The Hundred Generations Gym Leader Gardenia, a Grass Attribute expert in the animation who ‘abducted’ James’ Cacnea, was no easy opponent,

as the opponent of the paranormal fan’s sixth Gym, she didn’t let the diverse Ghost-type Pokémon have any advantage.

If Heating Rotom hadn’t been something unfamiliar, an unexpected Overheating took away Roserade, otherwise the paranormal fan might have struggled for a while, maybe even requiring a second challenge.

[You defeated Gardenia and obtained the Hundred Generations Badge]

[You increasingly feel the Gym challenges are demanding, making you realize you are approaching your strength limit]

The paranormal fan started too late and doesn’t possess other simulator-like innate talents, only frailty brought by her mysterious physique.

Thus, she changed her plan.

Leaving aside going to the far west of Sinnoh’s Pastoria City, she boarded the train heading south to Oreburgh City.

The scene transitions.

[You arrived at Oreburgh City, a coal town brimming with energy blessed by rich natural resources]

The paranormal fan first visited the Oreburgh Museum before heading to challenge the Oreburgh Gym.

The Gym Leader named Piaotai, a red-haired mine inspector wearing glasses, uses Rock Attribute Pokémon.

[You fell into a tough battle]

The seventh Gym.

The paranormal fan’s Ghost-type Pokémon exposed various shortcomings, with Froslass, Mismagius, and Drifblim consecutively defeated by Golem, Probopass, and Tyranitar—

It was unexpected that Piaotai had Tyranitar, which surprised Baimu.

In the animation, he always relied on a single Cranidos to rule.

Fortunately, the paranormal fan’s luck was good, first triggering Gengar’s Cursed Body, preventing Tyranitar’s Evil Fluctuation from working, then enduring Sandstorm and successfully taking it down with Mud Bomb.

Following that, Washing Rotom’s Water Cannon landed a critical hit on Crustle, securing this Gym challenge by a narrow margin.

[You defeated Piaotai and obtained the Oreburgh Badge]

The seventh badge was smoothly acquired.

The paranormal fan went to the Pokémon Center and then boarded the train home.

That night.

She returned to Hearthome City, where her parents had been waiting at the station for a long time, the family embraced tightly, Gengar also joining the fun.

[You heard your mother ask if you plan to go out again, awkwardly replying that there’s still one Gym left unchallenged]

The paranormal fan’s overall progress was already quite fast.

Though the simulator didn’t provide specific timing, based on the narrative’s sparse words, it wasn’t hard to deduce that from departure to return took less than two months.

This undoubtedly had much to do with her use of trains for transit.

After returning.

The paranormal fan didn’t rest, hurriedly arriving at Fortree Gym to see Melissa.

[You proudly shared your accomplishments with Melissa and vented frustrations to her]

The paranormal fan returned with a clear purpose: to continue learning from Melissa to enhance the strength of Gengar and other Pokémon, with little time left before the League Tournament.

Melissa surprisingly didn’t prepare any testing phases, following the paranormal fan’s desire and teaching her Pokémon battle knowledge.

Including Gorgeous Competition content.

The paranormal fan initially didn’t understand why she needed it, but later realized many Gorgeous Competition techniques achieve miraculous effects in Pokémon battles.

[You eagerly absorbed knowledge, and the native environment stopped dragging you down with illness, allowing you to grow strongly]

The scene flickers.

Although the paranormal fan’s talent isn’t as exceptional as some prodigies, with a Gym leader teacher’s guidance, she indeed grew stronger.

During this time, her father brought her the sixth and final Ghost Pokémon.

[You received the Dusclops, thus increasing your Ghost companions]

Dusclops joining the team symbolized the paranormal fan’s team reaching its Complete Form, the Elite System talent making it impossible to add more.

Baimu felt a bit regretful.

Truthfully, if the paranormal talent had circled Solaceon Town, maybe she could capture the sealed Spiritomb there.

It’s unfortunate the speed-pursuing paranormal fan skipped many important Sinnoh towns, only visiting those with Gym leaders.

The narrative indicates she chose Gym paths following Zhulan’s trail, akin to a pilgrimage.

“Seems like a second Caitlin…”

Baimu couldn’t help but comment, recalling the current Celestial King of the Unova Region, once a Battlefront Zone head Caitlin also worshiped Zhulan intensely.

On the screen.

Under Melissa’s help, the paranormal fan’s sixth Ghost companion evolved successfully.

[Your Dusclops evolved into Dusknoir]

This also heralded her embarking on a new journey.

It must be said, in the Pokémon World, effort getting rewarded is partly why it’s considered a pseudo-utopia.

The paranormal fan indeed has a frail physique, with her mysterious physique not offering many positive attributes.

Yet her will drove her growth to the present status.

[You arrived at Pastoria City, a city composed of numerous islands]

This place consists of islands connected mostly by bridges, with transport mainly via boats and numerous dead ends within the city, making it difficult to find adjacent island routes.

The paranormal fan almost got lost the first time here.
