Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 282: Chapter 279: The War of Artificial Intelligence

An unknown Pokémon that exists in the Illustrated Guide.

At this moment, regardless of Porygon’s beauty or ugliness, the curiosity of the Trainers present was piqued, and they all gathered around to explore the true form of that Pokémon.

The Trainer who had previously shouted ”Porygon” mixed into the crowd, clearly afraid of being ridiculed by those around him.

Baimu noticed that more and more people were gathering to observe Porygon, and he thought this was a great opportunity to promote Porygon, so he tugged at Dr. Akihabara’s sleeve.

The latter understood, and raised his hand excitedly.

”Every—”

”Doctor, I didn’t expect you to be here.”

Before Dr. Akihabara could unleash his lofty ambition, his words were suddenly interrupted as a squad parted the crowd and appeared before him.

The leader was Aquan, a smiling New Water Fleet cadre.

The onlookers, seeing the unfriendly demeanor of this group, retreated.

”Please come back with me, isn’t there still unfinished work?” She waved her hand, and immediately, two Watercraft Team Members came up to flank Dr. Akihabara on both sides.

Baimu looked at them, then at the panicked Dr. Akihabara, doubting whether the New Water Fleet had truly reformed.

Why are they still acting so domineering?

He exchanged a glance with Chansey and then looked at the distant patrolling officers, planning to do something to draw their attention—

”Please come back with us!”

A loud shout.

The two Watercraft Team Members flanking turned ninety degrees and bowed, their inexplicable pressure causing Dr. Akihabara extreme embarrassment, as he hurriedly grabbed his VR glasses to try and escape.

Aquan, however, already knew he would attempt to escape and gestured for the two Watercraft Team Members to approach.

Surrounded on all sides, Dr. Akihabara suddenly had nowhere to escape, only looking helplessly at the four people bowing ninety degrees, unsure of where to run.

Baimu: ”...What the ghost?”

”Ah! The kid who helped us catch the thief!”

A voice suddenly arose from behind Aquan.

He looked over and saw the speaker was the Watercraft Team Member he had almost mistaken for plotting against him in the afternoon.

Upon hearing his subordinate’s words, Aquan couldn’t help but look at Baimu standing with Dr. Akihabara, ”What a coincidence. In that case, do you have any free time now, young man?”

”Uh, yes.”

”Then come with us, repaying favors is a principle of our New Water Fleet! And Dr. Akihabara, shouldn’t you come back with us too?”

Faced with Aquan’s words and seeing the crowd gradually disperse, Dr. Akihabara covered his face in annoyance, ”Alright, alright! I’ll go back with you! It’s always like this—just start promoting Porygon and everything goes wrong!”

Baimu, hearing this, looked at the scattered crowd and couldn’t help but sigh at the somewhat bewildered Porygon in front of him.

”Is this fate?”

”Pali~”

The Porygon, making a strange cry, seemed puzzled.

”I’ll explain it to you in detail later if I get the chance.” He recalled Porygon back into the Pokeball.

——

Led by a group of New Water Fleet members.

Baimu and Dr. Akihabara arrived at a massive building resembling a research institute.

Upon entering, the latter’s demeanor abruptly changed, and he began asking various questions to the researchers coming and going, making various decisions in response to some of their inquiries.

The aura of a leader was palpable.

He couldn’t help but look at Dr. Akihabara twice.

Beside him, Aquan smiled and said, ”Though the Doctor can be a bit erratic at times, always running around promoting Porygon, he has a lot of charisma.”

”...Indeed.”

Baimu nodded, unable to resist asking, ”Pardon my curiosity, what project are you planning to research?”

”A marine ecological protection system, determining and eliminating pollution by inspecting the water quality in various locations. You must know, if human-made waste is simply discarded, it can form a new continent in the ocean!”

Aquan spoke passionately, ”But such a continent formed by garbage and sewage would only damage the ocean, causing irreparable harm. We must do our utmost to prevent this terrible act. Not only for Pokémon, but for humanity as well.”

”Makes sense.”

He agreed wholeheartedly with Aquan’s words.

In essence, if the Watercraft Team doesn’t go to extremes wanting to use the Super Ancient Pokémon to expand the ocean’s area, they’re effectively just a pure ocean protection organization.

Seeing Baimu’s genuine expression, Aquan couldn’t help but say, ”I wonder if you’re interested in joining this endeavor? Honestly, as long as our ideals align, we don’t ask about one’s origins...”

”I’m sorry, I’m already part of an organization.”

The former apologetically interrupted.

”You’re part of an organization?”

Aquan was taken aback.

”Ore Region Rescue Organization, you might not have heard of it, given our intentions aren’t as broad as yours.” Baimu smiled and said, ”But there’s no doubt that everyone in the organization is a group of great people.”

The Rescue Organization isn’t something that needs to be hidden. On the contrary, it can openly be spoken about, revealed to everyone under the sun.

Aquan indeed hadn’t heard of this Rescue Organization, and for a moment, couldn’t offer an evaluation.

He only felt a bit regretful for not being able to bring Baimu in.

You must know, the reports from those two subordinates continuously praised his strength. While the New Water Fleet doesn’t particularly need combat power units at the moment, recruiting a Trainer with great potential is definitely not mistaken.

What a pity...

”Please follow me, I’ll show you around.” Aquan was still hopeful, hoping that touring the place might persuade Baimu to change his mind.

Immediately.

Led by the New Water Fleet, Baimu toured the entire marine research institute.

Additionally, he learned that the Watercraft Team leader, Archie, due to some past events, now often has to do community service—

In the animation, the Watercraft Team’s wrongdoing was relatively minor; when Groudon and Kyogre awoke, they only had a battle at sea, without affecting innocent people.

This is the main reason he didn’t end up behind bars forever.

The collaboration between the New Water Fleet and Dr. Akihabara was purely a coincidence.

The latter had long handed over the Pokémon transport system to others to manage, focusing entirely on restoring the once completed human transport system, and promoting Porygon.

But due to various factors, no one was willing to cooperate and provide funding, leaving Dr. Akihabara in despair.

At this time.

During a television program promotion in Hoenn, Dr. Akihabara and the New Water Fleet met; the former needed the latter’s financial resources, the latter needed the former’s brilliant mind, and they hit it off immediately.

”It’s a pity Dr. Akihabara is too concerned about his Porygon, saying if Porygon doesn’t develop, it will eventually be completely replaced by Rotom—I don’t quite understand why he dislikes Rotom so much.”

Aquan handed Baimu a cup of coffee.

”Thank you.”

The latter nodded.

He wasn’t surprised by Dr. Akihabara’s thoughts, as both were Pokémon capable of living in the network, Rotom being able to super transform in applications surpasses Porygon by far.

GF clearly favored Rotom more, creating a whole bunch of appliances and machinery for Rotom to inhabit, even later making Rotom phones.

It’s no wonder Dr. Akihabara is agitated.

My Porygon is also virtual life, hey!
