Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 255: Chapter 252: Helical Fire Avoidance

Three o’clock in the afternoon.

The Gorgeous Competition in Kanaz City, with more than two hundred participants, has finally come to an end.

But after Wula La, only one high-scoring lady player, suspected to be from Unova, scored 28.9 points with Emolga.

The other scores were really not good.

Usually, eight or four progress to the second review.

Mr. Baimu combined the results of this competition and estimated that only four would qualify.

Sure enough, the host shouted out the results of the first review on the big screen.

The scene changed, four black squares appeared and opened one by one, revealing each participant’s portrait in turn, clearly showing several players, including Baimu, who scored more than twenty-seven points.

Three women, one man, in a total of two rounds can determine the winner and loser.

In the lounge, many of those who didn’t qualify sighed, left with either unsatisfied hearts or regretful faces.

The Gorgeous Competition is seen by many as even more brutal than the League Tournament. If you can’t pass the first review, no matter how beautiful your performance, you might become a minor online sensation but will never be able to attend the Grand Gorgeous Ceremony.

After a while, the large lounge had only four people remaining who progressed to the second review.

Baimu glanced toward Wula La, who confidently returned a smile saying ”I absolutely won’t lose to you,” and then looked at the other two, who seemingly had a fire of unwillingness in their eyes.

... Undoubtedly, he had become a common target for these three, perhaps because of his higher score?

At this time, the screen happened to show each one’s opponents.

Baimu and the Coordinator Trainer using Wigglytuff were categorized in the first match, while Wula La and the suspected Unova Coordinator Trainer faced off in the second match.

Second review.

Gorgeous Battle.

The rule is to crack the opponent’s attack or defeat the opponent within five minutes using gorgeous moves.

In the past, players were strictly required to use performance Pokémon for battle, but now no such requirement exists since the rule update.

Everyone has a fixed score. Successful attacks make the opponent lose points, and if your attack is gorgeously blocked by the opponent—even without being hit—it can lead to massive deductions in your score.

Defeating the opponent’s Pokémon directly ends the match. If neither is defeated before the countdown ends, scores are compared, with ties leading to overtime until one’s score is depleted or one’s Pokémon has fallen.

It’s not particularly complicated.

In short, just ensure your Pokémon’s moves are gorgeous, even if you are scraping by; the last person standing is still the winner.

Xiaoguang was able to defeat Wula La’s Gabite using Pachirisu because she adopted a cracking strategy; Gabite’s fierce attacks couldn’t surpass Pachirisu’s gorgeous resistance.

——

Three thirty in the afternoon.

With the passionate introduction from the host about the rules, Baimu and his opponent each reached their designated positions.

”Round one, first match, begin!”

He shouted, hastily retreating to a position farther away.

Meanwhile, both Coordinator Trainers in the field tossed their Pokeballs simultaneously!

Bang! Bang!

Cherry petals and pink heart effects floated everywhere, Mawile and Wigglytuff descended, looking at each other with high spirits.

Actually, both Coordinator Trainers were a bit stunned.

Baimu stared at his opponent, his face full of confusion, almost as if to say, ”Why didn’t you switch Pokémon, knowing that I used a Steel Attribute Mawile?”

His opponent was equally bewildered, with an expression like, ”You know I know you used Mawile, yet you still use Mawile, what do you mean?”

Both thought the other would switch to another Pokémon, but neither did.

Such is the mystery.

”Electromagnetic Levitation!”

Baimu didn’t bother with so much, since he already had the advantage in terms of attributes, he might as well keep the advantage in other aspects too.

”Qido!”

Mawile leapt off the ground, not in the previous Spinning Dance, but through a boxing footwork adjustment to maintain his own rhythm in War Dance!

The nimble movements made the judges and the audience bright-eyed, feeling that Mawile had changed its aura.

From elegant and charming lady to sharp warrior.

The opponent panicked slightly, instinctively looking at her scoreboard, sighed slightly as she saw no points deducted, but by the time her attention returned, Mawile was already approaching Wigglytuff.

And Wigglytuff, due to lacking timely instructions from its Trainer, panicked a bit.

She urgently shouted, ”Use Jet Flame!”

”Puding!”

The anxious Wigglytuff stabilized a little, took a deep breath, its body suddenly expanded several times and opened its mouth, the original cherry mouth suddenly transformed into a huge gap, torrid flames surged out with a roaring sound!

The flames turned into a moving high wall!

The audience gasped, never expecting Wigglytuff to utilize its body so skillfully, enhancing the flame’s power by absorbing a large amount of oxygen in a short period, creating a Wall of Flames.

They worriedly watched Mawile.

However, their worry was actually unnecessary.

Baimu and Mawile were pleased rather than alarmed upon seeing the Wall of Flames, for the most rewarding aspect of their week’s endeavors wasn’t the level nor the spiritual appearance, but rather like Xiaogang’s Steelix, relying on churning and dispersing air to resist the high-temperature flames with Helical Fire Avoidance!

”Spin! Iron Head!”

He shouted, Mawile also enthusiastically manipulated its body to start spinning.

The silver light halo enveloped its head, spread to its large jaws equivalent to its body size, turning the jaws into a silver hammer, whistling during rotation, rendering Mawile’s entire body into a silver energy ball.

Calming Bell echoed, the rapid sound akin to a Life-taking Talisman.

The audience saw the silver shining Mawile crash into the Wall of Flames, and before they could scream, the Wall of Flames burst apart with a boom, disappearing into countless flying fragments in the air.

The scoreboard showed the opponent’s score decreased by nearly a quarter, an exaggeration.

The host excitedly shouted, ”The Wall of Flames was cracked by Mawile! Sure enough, in front of this Dancing Girl, flames are just a toy it plays with easily!”

As the words fell, Mawile had hit Wigglytuff on the forehead!

Bang!

Wigglytuff had not yet shrunk back to its original size, its head hit and it immediately was knocked out, the next second flying out like a deflated balloon.

As it rotated once in the air and was about to fall, the anxious opponent shouted, ”Use Healing Fluctuation!”

But Baimu wouldn’t give it the chance.

”Playful, end it.”

”Qido~”

Mawile blinked its watery eyes, flew in front of Wigglytuff, grabbed its two tiny hands, and began a ”Double Dance” as if playfully dancing.

Wigglytuff was completely unable to use Healing Fluctuation, just feeling dizzy and vision blurred, constantly having stars and moons jump from nowhere to hit it.

A few seconds later.

It collapsed to the ground.

The scoreboard continued deducting points, but meanwhile, the three judges’ lights in front of them had uniformly turned into red crosses.

”Wigglytuff loses its ability to battle, Mawile and Mr. Baimu successfully advance to the finals!”

The host loudly announced, and the screen beside turned into portraits of Baimu and Mawile.

The opponent looked at her Wigglytuff, which lost its ability to fight, and regretfully hung her head. ”Pokémon’s battle strength is really this strong...”

”Victory!”

Baimu stepped into the field, high-fived the smiling Mawile in celebration, ”Qido~”

It increasingly likes the Gorgeous Competition.
