Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 276: Chapter 273: Dragon Dive

Back at the Pokémon Center.

Baimu gave the two Aggron who had been in a fight a check-up, and then hurriedly found a secluded place to start learning Dragon Dive.

As a powerful Dragon Attribute move, it features high damage and low accuracy, with the additional effects of doubling its power against smaller targets and a chance to make them flinch.

Usually, this move is used by Dragon-type Pokémon with Flying Ability.

Baimu had rarely seen Dragon-type Pokémon without Flying Ability use this move in the animations, so he was very curious about how a wild Aggron would display it.

”You can start!”

He shouted at the wild Aggron.

”Guh-roar!”

The latter responded with a low growl, then looked at its larger counterpart, and a terrifying aura surged from its body as if to tear everything before it to pieces.

The two sharp horns on its head lit up with a blue glow, and soon its entire body was enveloped in a pale blue aura that rapidly expanded outward!

”Roar!”

The wild Aggron charged forward with a roar, and the pale blue aura instantaneously expanded into a gigantic and fierce Energy Dragon Head, enveloping its body, creating a terrifying roar-like deterrent as it rubbed against the air!

Bang!

The Energy Dragon Head exploded with a crash without any target in sight.

And with that, the entire process was completed.

It couldn’t take off from the spot with the move, only ran forward and launched an Energy Shock, which was quite similar to the Ultimate Shock move.

Compared with the Dragon Dive in memory, it seemed to lack a pair of wings and a body, probably because it had no wings and didn’t take off?

This point is worth studying.

The key is the release logic of this thing. Once the process is understood, it’s simple for the Pokémon. The theory isn’t as crucial.

Can you explain a physical phenomenon to it and expect it to understand? Yet it can still breathe fire or water without issue.

”I see, Zygarde’s Dragon Dive is like this.” Baimu nodded, expressed gratitude to the wild Aggron, and then looked at his own Big Monster, ”Did you understand?”

”Guh... roar?”

The Aggron scratched its face. Did it understand? Just a demonstration like this, what could it understand? But to say it didn’t comprehend at all... it did grasp a little something.

”Want to try?” Baimu asked.

”Roar!”

It nodded, switched places with the wild Aggron, and recalled what it had just seen.

First, gather momentum!

The Aggron tried its best to widen its eyes, clenched its paws tightly, and tensed its whole body. Soon it felt something was off and hastily stopped to adjust its stance.

Baimu spoke up:

”This killing intent is rather hard to grasp, but there’s actually a shortcut.”

”Roar?”

”Imagine it taking over your territory, planting trees on your mountain, drinking from your mountain springs, and eating the food I prepared for you—understand?”

Hearing the trainer’s words, Aggron’s pupils suddenly dilated.

Innumerable battles had honed its will into seemingly substantial terrifying killing aura, making its demeanor extremely fierce, and its eyes filled with coldness and hostility as it looked at the wild Aggron.

”Roar...”

It growled through gritted teeth, grayish-white smoke billowing from its mouth, seeming to represent its anger.

The wild Aggron being stared at was flustered and hurriedly wanted to alert Baimu in front of it, but Baimu beat it to it, saying, ”Great! That’s the right momentum! Keep it up!”

As soon as the words left his mouth.

The Aggron immediately faltered, the frightening aura dissipating, and it looked down at itself with some confusion.

”It seems I shouldn’t talk too much.”

Baimu stepped forward and patted its chest, ”Do you remember that feeling just now? Killing intent is essentially a power driven by emotion; without the right emotions, how could you possibly use it?”

”Guh-roar...”

”You can roar, no one’s stopping you from roaring.”

”Roar!”

The Aggron glanced at the wild Aggron, and amidst its panicked expression, it nodded toward Baimu.

”Let’s try again!”

The Big Monster tried once more.

But this time, the wild Aggron joined in, providing reference and reminders for the former.

Both simultaneously released their momentum and took steps forward, initiating a fierce assault.

Unfortunately, the Big Monster’s head didn’t light up, while the one next to it did. Once lit, the Dragon Attribute Energy naturally spread out, forming a fierce Energy Dragon Head.

Baimu never expected it to succeed in one go; he even planned to break it down into four parts for learning.

The first part to gather momentum, the second to generate Dragon Attribute Energy within Aggron, the third to concentrate that energy at the top of its head, and the fourth to expand the energy to form a complete Dragon Dive configuration.

Today, getting used to the first part would be enough.

”Again! Don’t be discouraged!”

He shouted to boost Aggron’s confidence.

Unexpectedly, the Big Monster showed exceptional talent in mastering momentum. In less than half an hour, it could smoothly channel emotions and achieve the crucial point of releasing killing intent.

”Roar!”

It urged its trainer to move on to the next stage.

”Are you sure?”

”Roar!”

”Alright then.” Seeing its determined attitude, Baimu released Deino from its ball.

Bam!

”Mow? Mow?”

Deino chirped softly, sniffed around, and quickly climbed onto the trainer.

And then its cheek got pulled.

”I want you to use Dragon’s Fury on Aggron, got it? Adjust the power so it can feel what Dragon Attribute Energy is like.”

Baimu’s command made Deino nod obediently.

When a Pokémon learns moves of non-native attributes, experiencing the power of non-native attributes is quite effective, though somewhat risky and requiring the trainer to have good control over the Pokémon.

This method seemed somewhat similar to Shinji having Elekid use Thunder to weaken Chimchar’s stamina, forcing it to trigger Blaze, yet fundamentally different.

Because the former requires power adjustment, like Pikachu intentionally using ten volts to let Parasect feel Electric Shock. The latter simply shocks it to the edge of fainting, using pain to trigger the Pokémon’s potential power, differing at its core.

”Mow!”

Deino trotted over in front of Aggron.

”Roar!”

The latter signaled its location to it.

”Alright, right there. Aggron lower your head, Deino open your mouth!” Baimu stood on the side directing as he saw a mass of indigo flames coalesce in Deino’s mouth, he immediately said, ”Smaller!”

The flames shrank.

”Smaller again!”

The flames shrank once more.

”Okay! You can release it now!”

Boom!

A mass of flames hit Aggron’s head, leaving a slight scorch mark.

The Big Monster raised its head, seemingly savoring, closing its eyes, ”Roar... roar!”

”More? Alright, let’s do it again!”

”Mow!”

Deino composed a small flame and sprayed it onto Aggron’s head again.

The lingering Dragon Attribute Energy lingered between the horns of the latter, seeping into Aggron’s body in thin strands, causing it some damage while also brewing something.
