Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 251: Chapter 248: Garchomp

Simulation ended.

This time’s rewards appeared before his eyes.

[Fixed Reward: Move Tutor ×2 (Attribute can be specified)]

[Fixed Reward: Sister Xiangfen’s Essence Manufacturing Memory - Awakening Refreshment Chapter (Can be repeatedly viewed)]

...

[Choice Reward 1: Any Pokémon in the team levels up by 2 (below Lv. 70)]

[Choice Reward 2: Clue to acquiring a Pokémon (Attribute can be specified)]

[Choice Reward 3: Move - Weather Ball (Can be learned by chosen Pokémon)]

[Choice Reward 4: Retain [Kind-hearted] trait for the next simulation round]

The top four rewards allow choosing two from four.

Baimu chose the first and third without hesitation; he already had enough clues, there was no need to add more.

However, with the Weather Ball... currently, none of the Pokémon in his team can learn it, he can only temporarily set it aside and consider it when acquiring new Pokémon.

As for the remaining two levels, he pondered for a moment, giving one to Aggron and one to Mawile.

Just yesterday, Aggron had leveled up to sixty-nine, and now giving it will maximize its effectiveness. As for Mawile, he thought that even though one or two levels wouldn’t cause a qualitative change, it was still better to have an extra bit of assurance.

Baimu’s gaze finally fell on the Essence Manufacturing section, and based on its described awakening and refreshment effects, he looked it up online.

There were quite a few brands, but only one had the Green Hall mark—

Five thousand Pokémon Yuan per box, with each box containing five incense pieces, each burning for approximately eight hours.

It specifically noted that the essence content was only thirty percent.

He was stunned, never having imagined that incense would be so expensive, and with only thirty percent essence content. If he handmade essence, could he make a fortune?

No, no.

This essence thing couldn’t possibly have had no breakthroughs for decades, whether due to cost or other factors. Whether to sell or use it himself, he had to proceed cautiously, at least verifying the effects and production process, comparing it with modern ones before deciding to use or sell it himself.

Avoid making some kind of taboo when the time comes.

Besides, tomorrow he was going to take the stage of the Gorgeous Competition, so he needed to clear his mind and not think too much.

He yawned, tidied up personal hygiene problems simply, and lay down holding the Deino that was already sound asleep, slowly closing his eyes.

——

The next day.

Gorgeous Competition venue.

Because registration would close at nine o’clock, to avoid the crowd, Baimu left as early as seven.

But even so, the venue’s main hall was already filled to capacity by the time he arrived.

People of various hair colors and outfits filled every inch of space in the hall with their Pokémon, either as contestants or spectators, looking around in excitement and tension.

A queue of a dozen people had already formed at the front desk, and judging by their outfits, they should all be participants.

”Luckily, I came early, how many people are participating,” Baimu muttered to himself, Mawile beside him couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous due to the crowd.

Like its first battle with Aggron, the guy had a burden inside.

”Calm down, nothing will go wrong with me here.”

He patted Mawile’s head, who responded by covering its head and glaring displeased.

The hair that it had just styled in the morning couldn’t be messed up!

With its attention diverted like this, Mawile’s mood indeed settled a lot, and its expression turned more natural.

Moreover, just like the Trainer said, with him here nothing will go wrong. They’ve practiced successfully many times, for today.

Not long after.

Registration completed.

With the hall so crowded it was hard to breathe, taking advantage of the break before the competition began, Baimu and Mawile went outside to a less crowded, more secluded area.

”To be honest, I still think yellow petals suit you better.”

He held Mawile’s Luxury Ball in hand, with a pink sticker at the opening.

This was a Pokeball sticker from the Sinnoh Region, releasing various illusory effects when opened, aiding in the judges’ first impression.

Baimu thought that yellow petals matched Mawile’s coloring better, but the latter believed pink petals better suited the Fairy Wind melody after the opening.

Of course.

The choice was already made for pink petals, he was just chatting with Mawile a bit to ease its tension.

”Ciido!”

Mawile firmly rejected its Trainer’s suggestion, suddenly gazing at a certain patch of grass by the roadside and frowning.

Baimu also glanced over as if sensing something.

And when the grass started shaking violently, they both simultaneously withdrew several steps to the side, as a ferocious Pokémon with a body resembling a mix between a shark and a dinosaur rushed out.

”Garch!”

It let out a low growl, charging towards Baimu.

”Ciido!”

Mawile’s face tensed, preparing to act, but was stopped by the Trainer’s hand, who swiftly opened a Pokeball.

Bang!

A flash of white light.

Aggron fiercely charged toward Garchomp.

Bam!

They collided violently, both showing eyes full of hostility, ready to fight at a moment’s notice.

But just as Aggron was about to take the initiative, a pink-haired twin-tailed girl burst out of the grass, out of breath and panting heavily.

”Garchomp, don’t attack!”

She shouted, causing Garchomp, with its bared teeth at Aggron, to restrain its demeanor.

”Is this your Pokémon?”

Baimu gestured for his Big Monster to come stand beside him, frowning as he looked at her.

Though she looked only twelve or thirteen, he wasn’t polite, ”If it’s an unmanageable Pokémon, please don’t release it in populated areas to cause trouble!”

”S-sorry!”

The pink-haired girl was startled by his stern voice, quickly apologizing, ”It’s not usually like this, I don’t know why it suddenly ran towards you... maybe it was attracted by food, it’s quite gluttonous.”

”Garch!”

With its Trainer’s restraint, Garchomp couldn’t go forward, its voice slightly stubborn.

”Don’t use such an excuse... hmm?”

Baimu paused, then reached into his pocket, pulling out half of a leftover snack that Deino hadn’t finished, and his lips quivered.

Seeing Garchomp’s constant gaze towards the snack, he originally planned to throw it over but thought better of it, avoiding it being seen as giving something inappropriate to eat.

”Forget it, just be more careful next time.”

Baimu said casually, putting away Aggron and taking Mawile elsewhere, ”Others won’t be as forgiving as I am.”

Seeing he didn’t continue scolding, the pink-haired girl sighed in relief, calling after his departing figure, ”Are you also a contestant? I’m Wula La!”

”Baimu, see you at the competition.”

He waved a hand to bid goodbye, showing a strange expression once out of her sight.

Wula La...

Although at first, he couldn’t recall who she was, considering the Garchomp and her name, wasn’t she one of Xiaoguang’s rivals!

Moreover, a villainous role.

Every encounter was either causing trouble for Xiaoguang or stubbornly refusing to acknowledge Xiaoguang’s merits after losing. Like Xiaoyao’s rival Harry in the Advanced Generation, quite an annoying clown.

Years passed, not only had Gabite evolved into Garchomp, but her temper improved quite a bit too.

Got taught by reality? Or matured with age?

Perhaps both.

With such a seasoned Coordinator Trainer in the competition, debuting was going to be somewhat challenging...
