Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 271: Chapter 268: Stone Cave

The terrain was uneven, with even a large pit in it.

Fujishu handed the Boxing Badge to Baimu and said with emotion:

”I have to commend you and Aggron for your cooperation. Attribute Compatibility is a huge wave difficult to ride for many Trainers, but your performance has proven to me that you’ve successfully conquered it.”

”Thank you.”

Baimu received it with both hands.

The Boxing Badge, true to its name, was designed in the shape of boxing gloves, with a yellow gem replacing the thumb area, making it look very beautiful.

The intensity of the battle at the Martial Arts Gym was undoubtedly unmatched by the strength held in the badge, and even the Hariyama just now was already Fujishu’s ace Pokémon—

It was indeed tough.

First, it took a hit from Rock Seal, then took a Knock Down and only then showed slight fatigue, proving its exaggerated endurance.

Did surfing max out its durability?

Baimu put the badge into a prepared box and couldn’t help but imagine the upcoming Gym challenges.

He had already known through the simulator that these Gym Leaders had a chat group, where they often shared particularly talented or formidable challengers.

The upcoming challenges would likely exceed the level that holding a badge would normally entail.

While he was pondering, he heard Fujishu’s voice again.

”Next time we have a chance, let’s go surfing together. Your physical fitness is quite good, and I believe you’ll be able to learn it quickly, even using a surfboard.”

”Sure.”

Baimu nodded. He had a good impression of this man who couldn’t help but talk about surfing every three sentences.

After all, having played through the main series and remakes of the Gem Series numerous times, he had naturally formed a ”fan” lens as he repeatedly used the final evolutions of the Three Families to knock out this guy.

Moreover, the other party was so friendly.

Seeing an opportunity to chime in, Xiaoren finally excitedly said:

”Your Aggron is really strong! It’s even stronger than the Aggron I encountered in Stone Cave before!”

”There’s Aggron in Stone Cave?”

Baimu turned his head, curiously looking at her.

”Yes! When I accidentally ran into the depths, I saw it!” Xiaoren nodded enthusiastically.

Fujishu also said: ”There are many good Pokémon in Stone Cave, like Makuhita, if you’re interested, you can go there to capture new Pokémon... it’s not far.”

Hmm?

Did his words carry some ulterior motive?

”I—I can draw a map for you!” Xiaoren enthusiastically raised her hand, but regretted, ”If the Gym were closed today, I could actually guide you there... but there are still three scheduled challengers.”

Hearing there were three more challengers, Fujishu’s expression became worried.

He gazed at the sky, ”Why is it cloudy today? Why is it cloudy?”

Baimu: ”...”

Before long.

After getting a simple map from Xiaoren, Baimu thanked them and bid farewell, genuinely becoming interested in Diamond Cave, something he hadn’t considered before—

The main goal was to find a wild Aggron, especially one that knew Double-bladed Head Hammer.

This is a hereditary move that can only be learned from the same species, normally impossible to learn in a lifetime, a pain point for the Big Monster of Stone Cave.

What frustrated Baimu was that due to Aggron’s slightly ferocious nature, not many Trainers would cultivate it, leading him to often search for fellow Aggron enthusiasts in the same city but never finding any chat groups.

Conversely, the Zigzagoon and Linoone enthusiast groups next door responded enthusiastically, which was strange.

——

Arriving at the Pokémon Center.

Baimu handed the three Pokémon that participated in the battle to Miss Joy.

The Pokémon Center was much fuller with Trainers than when he left in the morning. He found a spot, sat down, and listened to their conversations, finding that most were there for the beach campfire gathering.

Is it that popular?

He couldn’t help but feel a little astonished, building anticipation for the evening’s campfire party and trading conference.

However, in the afternoon, he planned to check out Stone Cave, as Trainers online had diverse opinions about it.

For example, it’s too complicated, so be careful not to get lost; don’t laugh at the squinty eyes of Makuhita, as it may easily provoke their anger; don’t be fooled by the cuteness of Mawile, as its bite truly hurts; and don’t carry too many metallic items on you, or you might be chased by a horde of Aron.

These tips were filled with blood and tears from experienced Trainers.

Mawile and Aron...

Baimu felt that if he went in, he probably wouldn’t be in trouble, as Wild Pokémon naturally admire stronger individuals, and encountering the same kind wouldn’t result in random attacks.

Of course, the premise is that the Trainer’s Pokémon must have a strong personality; being too soft won’t do.

While playing with his phone.

”happy~”

A Nurse Blissey came over to call him to retrieve his Pokémon.

Baimu went to the counter, and Miss Joy returned three Pokeballs to him, ”Your Pokémon are fine now. The Galarian Corsola is exhausted, and its shell is damaged, so let it rest for a few days. There’s no need to involve it in battles unless necessary.”

”Okay.”

He nodded.

The ”forehead” of his Galarian Corsola was cracked, so resting more was appropriate.

One could call it honorable wounds, enjoying a few days of peaceful life was nice. Baimu wasn’t a boss like Zhou Bapi, taking free time when he should.

However, the fact that Aggron was fine was quite surprising, further fueling his determination to visit Stone Cave.

Off he went without delay.

He ran back to his room, changed clothes, streamlined his gear, and headed for Stone Cave. It was located near Waterway No. 106, which wasn’t far from the coastal highway out of the town.

Compared to yesterday, there were indeed more visitors in Martial Arts Town. When he came yesterday, he barely encountered anyone, but now tourists of all kinds were everywhere.

There were even quite a few Pokémon battles happening in the streets.

This situation eased only when he left the town, and the surroundings became deserted again. Along the coast, some Water-type Pokémon could occasionally be seen.

Such as Corphish and Wingull.

Occasionally perched on the reef was a wild Octillery, which stared blankly at him as he approached.

Baimu pondered briefly, deciding that getting a face full of ink wasn’t fun, so he acted as if he didn’t see it and passed it by.

If it were in playing Arceus Legend, he’d definitely toss a ball to capture it.

Soon.

Stone Cave was in view.

Judging by the footprints at the entrance, this place was clearly popular with Trainers, with the ground trampled flat like it had been pressed by a steamroller.

”At a time like this... I’ll leave it to you.”

Baimu released Deino.

Though the animation depicts it as bright, in truth, Stone Cave was pitch dark, with only the layer near the surface occasionally seeing light and maintaining some visibility.

The depths were pitch-black like the Abandoned Mine.
