Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 278: Chapter 275: Elf Express Delivery

”We are members of the New Water Fleet.”

The Watercraft Team Member who had regained freedom said, ”We are no longer part of that criminal organization.”

Another Watercraft Team Member added, ”That’s right! Our current goal is to protect the marine environment and address the pollution caused by human industry to the ocean. Our actions have already been recognized by the Alliance!”

Two Mightyenas followed with a couple of barks.

Baimu was somewhat in disbelief, ”Really?”

”Of course it’s true!”

They looked rather insulted, ”If you don’t believe us, you can go ask Miss Jun Sha at the police station. She definitely knows.”

”Alright.”

He agreed easily and kicked the two fake Watercraft Team members on the ground, ”In that case, you guys can help out by taking a trip to the police station together.”

The two looked at each other and nodded determinedly, ”Alright, but please let me make a phone call first!”

One of them turned around, picked up the phone, and said something.

Baimu perked up his ears to listen, and heard this person contacting his superior, referring to him as Aquan.

Saying things like capturing the thief and those who knocked people out.

Aquan?

Isn’t he a cadre of the Watercraft Team? They really are members of the Watercraft Team.

He had thought these two were in cahoots with the two on the ground, but seeing Chansey being so fierce, they might have been pretending to be real Watercraft Team members. But now, they seem to be genuine members.

Of course, it’s safer to call Miss Jun Sha no matter what.

So while negotiating with those two, he quietly dialed the emergency number, trusting that the officers who overheard the conversation had already notified Miss Jun Sha patrolling nearby?

Sure enough.

As the Watercraft Team Member finished his call, the sound of police sirens echoed from a distance.

The two of them simultaneously changed their expressions, instinctively wanting to flee, but when they saw Baimu’s seemingly laughing yet not laughing expression, they stopped in embarrassment, ”Sorry, it’s a habit.”

”No problem, no problem.”

Baimu smiled widely, patting Chansey’s head, ”Running away isn’t scary, as long as your speed isn’t faster than Spiritual Power.”

The Watercraft Team members were speechless and choked up, wanting to retort, but remembering the immobility earlier, and glancing at the docile and weak-looking Chansey, they couldn’t say a word.

Officer Jenny’s motorcycle approached smoothly.

She saw two ”Watercraft Team Members” lying on the ground and then looked at the two real Watercraft Team Members surrounding Baimu, her expression changed, ”Don’t move! Put your hands up!”

”Woof! Woof!”

Growlithe jumped down from the side-car, barking twice sharply.

Under the effect of the Intimidating Trait, everyone’s heart skipped a beat, and the two Mightyenas also showed signs of retreat.

”...”

Baimu naturally raised his hands, and Chansey beside him did the same with its little hands, which looked quite funny.

The Watercraft Team members raised their hands helplessly, and the two Mightyenas looked at each other, then at the crouching, low-growling, intimidating Growlithe, and under the Trainer’s eye gaze indication, lay down with their feet in the air.

Officer Jenny began calling for backup and an ambulance.

Soon after.

Backup and the ambulance arrived in time.

Baimu’s ID and phone recording were in Officer Jenny’s hands, being checked over and listened to repeatedly, while the other two officers investigated the Watercraft Team members.

”They are just asleep, make sure they don’t escape.”

Seeing the fake Watercraft Team members pushed onto a stretcher, he couldn’t help but remind.

”Don’t worry, I’ll keep my eyes on them.”

Officer Jenny returned the ID, ”Thanks for your bravery, but next time, try not to take risks and inform us in advance to handle it for you.”

She saluted Baimu.

”Understood, understood.”

He nodded.

Then, Officer Jenny used a machine onboard to copy the recording and returned the phone.

Baimu took the opportunity to ask, ”Officer Jenny, has the Watercraft Team truly been recognized by the Alliance and become a legitimate environmental protection organization?”

”It’s the New Water Fleet; they’re now a legal environmental protection organization.”

”Uh, what’s the difference?”

”The name’s different.”

”...”

Seeing Officer Jenny speaking seriously, he didn’t know what to say.

But improving marine pollution – wouldn’t that require capturing Suicune to act as a sewage purifier?

Meanwhile, the two Watercraft Team Members got in the car with the officers; Baimu thought he would need to go to give a statement, but Officer Jenny stopped him.

”No need, you just stay here and enjoy this beach bonfire party.”

Officer Jenny smiled understandingly, ”The party is mainly organized by the New Water Fleet.”

”Eh?”

Baimu was taken aback.

The New Water Fleet is hosting the party? Is it like the Rocket Team’s banquet on Sainte Anne, a trap?

”Don’t worry, we’re patrolling near the party, and we’ll respond immediately if anything happens,” Officer Jenny seemed to know what he was worried about.

”Okay.”

Baimu nodded in thanks.

——

The sky quickly turned dark.

Colorful lights were strung up by the beach, various stalls were set up, attracting people in.

Baimu stood at a high point, gazing at the scene, still not fully trusting this so-called New Water Fleet. He wanted to see for himself whether they were secretly engaging in shady activities or truly reformed.

Suddenly.

The phone in his pocket vibrated, and he found it was a reply from Laisa when he took it out.

Laisa: ’Did you mug a wild Sableye?’

Baimu: ’... Do I look like that kind of person? It gifted it to me! Understand? We’re friends, alright!’

He quickly sent over a photo, showing Sableye trading gems and Poké Blocks with a group of Aron.

Laisa: ’Got it! You tricked it! With Poké Blocks!’

Baimu: ’... Can we talk properly?’

Laisa: ’Just kidding, hehe~(^_−)☆’

Baimu: ’Ma’am, how old are you, joking with a minor like me?’

Laisa: ’...’

Laisa: ’What did you say!?!?’

She sent four or five furious emojis and even madly called him.

Baimu dared not answer, directly ignoring it, and wrote in the Poké communication: ’Just kidding, not intentional~’

Laisa: ’You did that on purpose! It’s so annoying talking to you little ghost!’

Baimu: ’Alright, sorry for inconveniencing you. So can we discuss business?’

Laisa: ’Hmph! The black iron box, that black cube, seems to be some machine’s data recorder, but I don’t know what exactly.’

Laisa: ’I checked the Super Stone; it’s indeed a Steelix Evolution Stone. As for the gems, the phone’s resolution is too low to make them out, so mail them over along with the Steelix Evolution Stone.’

Laisa: ’I’ll cut them properly for you, to avoid damaging them.’

Baimu: ’Alright~’

Anyone trusted by Da Wu is also trusted by him. Even if Laisa really tricks him, Da Wu will surely compensate once he knows, so there’s no burden in mailing them.

He then found a post office in Martial Arts Town and packed things up to mail them.

”Next day delivery, right?”

”Yes.”

”Then it’s extra, Pelipper’s food isn’t cheap.”

”Alright.”

Baimu paid for Pelipper’s food. Very few companies use Dragonite as courier, most use Fearow or Pelipper, but it’s still quite expensive.
