Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 1137: Chapter 718: Dealing with the Peeping Tom

Seeing their movements, Xiao Jun asked with some confusion, ”What are you doing?”

Third Uncle also got ready, put on his helmet, and then said to Xiao Jun, ”You wait here. While I’m away, you’re fully in charge. Also, have Zhu Xiao and the others start moving the steel. The sooner it’s done, the sooner we head back.”

Understanding what Third Uncle was planning, Xiao Jun offered, ”Do you need me to come with you?”

Third Uncle shook his head and said, ”No need, just take care of things here and stay alert. Also, support us from above with the drone.”

After saying this, he picked up the assault rifle and walked outside the car.

Xiao Jun quickly nodded and then put on the earpiece for the walkie-talkie.

Ant and Old Qin followed behind Third Uncle; they didn’t exit through the main gate but instead climbed over the steel plant’s fence and went the long way around.

”Third Uncle, Third Uncle.”

Just as Third Uncle jumped down from the fence, he heard Xiao Jun’s voice and asked, ”What’s up?”

”Nothing, just testing if the walkie-talkie works.”

”Okay.”

After saying that, Third Uncle moved forward like a nimble cat to the building ahead.

Old Qin and Ant followed behind him.

Their pace was swift, yet methodical.

Third Uncle decided swiftly to deal with the trackers because it was becoming too annoying.

The steel inside the plant couldn’t be moved all at once, not even with so many vehicles, and they would need to come back several times.

Imagine if every time you came, there was a group tracking and spying on you, like trying to sleep with a buzzing mosquito by your ear. You can’t sleep well unless you swat it early.

Solving it early saves trouble later.

This was the main reason for Third Uncle’s quick decision and immediate action.

Moreover, those people had guns, and if they took a shot from the shadows, it would be even worse.

Turning a passive situation into an active one was Third Uncle’s usual habit.

Not to mention, with Ant and Old Qin here, even if he were alone, as long as he had a gun, he wouldn’t back down.

After leaving the plant, they did not head directly toward the building where the trackers were but instead took a large detour to get behind them.

Soon.

They stopped near the building.

”How do we do this?” Ant asked through the walkie-talkie.

Third Uncle looked at the structure of the building and observed carefully.

He found no enemies there.

Then he said, ”We’ll go in through the back door together. Before reaching the rooftop, don’t make any noise. Old Qin, you take the left staircase, Ant, you take the right, I’ll go up the middle. Remember, leave one alive to ask where their base is.”

”I know where it is,” Ant announced.

Third Uncle was silent for a second, then replied, ”Then make it clean. Finish up and head back early. I’m starving.”

Ant looked at his watch; it was already 11:30.

Third Uncle made a hand gesture for ascend and rushed towards the building.

The three moved with such speed they seemed like mere afterimages.

Meanwhile, to avoid being spotted by Raven’s men, Xiao Jun flew the drone to a high altitude.

He was a bit frustrated because he couldn’t see Third Uncle and the others, unsure if it was his oversight or if they had not set out yet.

”Could it be that I missed them? It shouldn’t be, why can’t I see anyone, it’s really strange,” Xiao Jun mused, looking at the drone screen.

Elsewhere.

After getting inside the building, Third Uncle was met face to face with a person.

This person was holding car keys, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, and was happily relieving himself.

Hearing the noise behind him, he turned his head.

Seeing the sudden appearance of Third Uncle, this man opened his mouth wide trying to ask something.

”Who are you...... glug glug....”

Third Uncle extended his hand, and a dagger instantly appeared in it.

The sharp blade swiftly slid across the man’s neck.

This guy was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, his arms covered with tattoos, it seemed he had a full-back dragon tattoo.

After killing him, Third Uncle wasted no time, quickly checked the rooms on the first floor.

Then immediately ran upstairs.

He moved with incredible speed, but almost no sound.

The second floor, no one.

The third floor, no one.

Fourth floor, fifth floor, sixth floor.

......

When he reached the twelfth floor, Third Uncle and Old Qin gathered together.

There were only two doors leading to the rooftop, one on Ant’s side, and one on Third Uncle and Old Qin’s side.

Halfway up the stairs, Third Uncle saw the door to the rooftop was open and quietly retreated.

Covering the walkie-talkie, he whispered to Ant, ”I’m in position, how about your side?”

”In position, ready to act.”

Third Uncle was about to ask about Xiao Jun’s side when suddenly.

A loud laugh was heard from above, ”Hahaha, did you hear about over at Old Dong’s place? Since people started coming to this steel plant, Old Dong’s group has been like turtles hiding. This time, the boss asked him to send people along, and he still wouldn’t come. Looks like Old Dong’s group has lost their nerve.”

”Fortune favors the bold, while the timid starve. As soon as they come out, we’ll take action. No way are we letting them get away this time. Last time they ran fast, got away, didn’t expect they’d dare to come back.”
