Celestial Beast Taming

Chapter 210: Chapter 138: Elemental Activation Potion

On the way, Zheng Yufeng, out of curiosity, had asked Wu Qing about the effects of the Third Level Potion he had independently developed.

Logically speaking, an established power in Zhuxue City wouldn’t go out of its way to offend a Four-finger Creator.

The two waves of pursuers sent after him clearly had lethal intentions.

But Wu Qing kept his lips sealed, choosing not to tell Zheng Yufeng anything about the Potion.

He politely informed Zheng Yufeng that this Third Level Potion, which had nearly gotten him killed, would be his pledge of allegiance to Zhong Yi.

Wu Qing’s actions made it clear he didn’t quite trust Zheng Yufeng.

Although Zheng Yufeng was a bit annoyed by this, he understood.

After all, Wu Qing had nearly died in Zhuxue City precisely because of the dispute caused by this Third Level Potion.

The only reason Wu Qing sought out Zhong Yi through Zhao Kai was that he had nowhere else to turn in Zhuxue City.

If he’d had any other choice, Wu Qing wouldn’t have left the city he had lived in for decades to come to Starlight City, a place he had never set foot in before.

Furthermore, Wu Qing knew nothing about Zhong Yi, the person he was about to pledge himself to. He had only heard from Zhao Kai that Zhong Yi was a newly awakened Celestial Destiny Seeker.

On the phone, Zhao Kai hadn’t revealed to Wu Qing that Zhong Yi was a Healing-type Celestial Destiny Seeker.

Along the way, Wu Qing had tried, both overtly and subtly, to ask Zheng Yufeng about Zhong Yi on multiple occasions, but Zheng Yufeng hadn’t said much.

Wu Qing had just arrived in Starlight City when Zheng Yufeng took him directly to Zhong Yi’s residence.

It was only after meeting with Zhao Kai that Wu Qing learned Zhong Yi was the newly awakened Healing-type Celestial Destiny Seeker from Starlight City.

And there was more than one Celestial Destiny Seeker living here.

Besides Zhong Yi, there was also Shen Xuan, a Combat-type Celestial Destiny Seeker with an SS Level potential rating.

Just a moment ago, Wu Qing had already met Shen Xuan.

’This means I’ve pledged myself to two Celestial Destiny Seekers at the same time.’

’And both of them are extraordinary, even among Celestial Destiny Seekers.’

This made Wu Qing realize at once that coming here wasn’t just about escaping the Baisheng Commerce Association’s pursuit and finding sanctuary.

’This is my great opportunity!’

’To become a subordinate to two newly awakened Celestial Destiny Seekers right at the beginning of their growth...’

’Even though I’ve only just become a Four-finger Creator, I’ll have a chance to prove my worth to them.’

Without waiting for Zhao Kai to introduce him, Wu Qing stepped forward and bowed deeply to Zhong Yi.

”My Lord, my name is Wu Qing. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to pledge my loyalty to you.”

As he spoke, Wu Qing took out a milky-white Potion and began to explain it to Zhong Yi.

”My Lord, this is a Potion I concocted by chance. It has the effect of helping Attribute Guardian Beasts that rely on Elements for combat stimulate their Elemental Abilities.”

”Since it uses fewer than thirty ingredients, it falls into the category of a Third Level Potion. I’ve named it the Elemental Activation Potion.”

”The cost to create this Potion is around six hundred thousand Federation Coins. Although the cost is relatively high for a Third Level Potion, its effects can’t be matched by even some Fifth Level Potions.”

’Wu Qing knew very well that no matter who he pledged himself to, he would have to offer up this Potion’s secret formula. Otherwise, the faction that took him in would have no reason to offend an established power like the Baisheng Commerce Association just for him. Rather than waiting for the young man before him to ask, proactively handing over the formula would undoubtedly please him more and help me gain more benefits within this new faction.’

Hearing Wu Qing’s words, everyone present, except for Qin Ruyue, was curious about the Third Level Potion he had produced.

Qin Ruyue, however, fixed a wary gaze on Wu Qing.

Seeing the fawning smile on Wu Qing’s face, Qin Ruyue knew she now had a formidable rival.

’This person is clearly just like me—very good at currying favor with the upper-rankers to secure a more comfortable position for himself.’

Zhao Kai hadn’t known the specific effects of Wu Qing’s Potion before, so now that Wu Qing brought it up, he voiced his question.

”’Help an Attribute Guardian Beast stimulate its Elemental Ability’... how should I interpret that?”

”For example, my Lifebound Guardian Beast, the Shield Crystal Armor Dragon, is an Earth Attribute Guardian Beast. If it drinks your Potion, will that make its Earth Attribute Skills more powerful when it uses them?”

Hearing this, Wu Qing quickly waved his hands.

”Brother Zhao, you must be joking.”

”If it had an effect that powerful, the Baisheng Commerce Association would have probably imprisoned me the moment I developed the formula. I never would have had the chance to ask you for help.”

”I imagine everyone is very curious about the specific effects of the Elemental Activation Potion.”

”Allow me to explain in detail. In truth, the Elemental Activation Potion has no effect on a Lifebound Guardian Beast.”

”The Elemental Activation Potion targets those Guardian Beasts that a Guardian Beast Master has bound via a Soul Power Contract.”

”Many of these Guardian Beasts, as their Tier and Quality increase, fail to achieve the expected level of control and mastery over their Elements.”

”Their ability to use Elements might even be weaker than that of wild Guardian Beasts of the same Tier.”

”When a Guardian Beast like this consumes the Elemental Activation Potion I’ve developed, its control over its Element will continuously improve.”

”Generally, a single Guardian Beast will see no further effect from the Elemental Activation Potion after consuming five bottles.”

At this point, Wu Qing paused, thought for a moment, and then continued.

”If we were to rate Elemental Ability on a scale, let’s say one hundred points is excellent and sixty points is passing.”

”A Guardian Beast with an Elemental Ability of only forty points can generally reach the passing level after drinking five Potions.”
