The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1293: Chapter 1293: The Little Figure in the Notebook

Lin Tian and Qiu Wen didn’t have much in common, hardly any, so after a brief greeting, they didn’t speak further. On the other hand, Liou Qingcheng leaned over to Qiu Wen, whispering quietly about something that Lin Tian wasn’t interested in knowing.

Lin Tian was thinking about Li, who hadn’t been seen in class for quite a while. Being busy with work was one thing, but there must be another reason he didn’t want to see Qiu Wen.

Wu Yong also mentioned to Lin Tian that Li, who usually spoke little and kept to himself, was a workaholic. Initially, Lin Tian introduced him to the company for some simple tasks, more like a part-time job, but unexpectedly, he quickly rose to become a key figure at Black Gold.

In Lin Tian’s view, Li’s rapid rise was due to three reasons. First, he truly had talent. Second, it was when Black Gold was short of personnel, and he fit the position he was placed in. Third, he was definitely motivated by Qiu Wen.

Lin Tian understood the third reason well, almost empathically. Back when Li Li broke up with him, all he thought about was that she would never be able to look down on him in the future!

But what was the outcome?

Lin Tian got stronger and wealthier, and when he looked back at that woman, he just found her ridiculous and pathetic.

Just as Lin Tian’s thoughts were drifting elsewhere, the class bell rang. Zhao Xuefeng, as always, arrived at the bell’s cue, clutching his laptop, quickly striding in. In his many years of teaching, except for special circumstances, he’s never been late.

The previously noisy classroom quickly quieted down; anyone disrupting the class would have to copy books as punishment.

Zhao Xuefeng placed the laptop on the podium, connected the projector, opened a PowerPoint, and said loudly, ”Students, there’s little over a week before the finals. Although the final exam grade is only part of the overall score, if the paper score is below eighty, you won’t pass this course. If the make-up exam at the start of next semester is poor, you’ll need to retake the course.”

For a paper with a maximum score of one hundred, eighty is already a high score. Especially in traditional medicine, if one ’gnaws’ through insufficient books and lacks knowledge reserves, it’s hard to achieve.

Moreover, having progressed from high school seniors to freshmen, the previously tightened study leash has loosened. Who would self-discipline themselves to memorize so much?

Thus, hearing such stringent scores led to wails and groans from the classroom.

Lin Tian watched this scene with a smile, feeling no pressure. Eighty was a breeze, even a full score wouldn’t be a problem. He suddenly enjoyed such an environment around him, it’s quite enriching.

”Mr. Zhao, could you mark the key points for the exam content?” shouted a student below, entirely disregarding the customary gesture of raising a hand first.

Since there were many auditing students, Zhao Xuefeng didn’t pursue the matter, he simply smiled and said, ”The whole book, every page has key points.”

”...”

Zhao Xuefeng continued aloud, ”I made the exam myself, the difficulty is similar to last semester’s, not high. Since you’re freshmen, there is basically nothing outside the textbooks to be tested.”

”Similar difficulty to last semester? Really?”

”Sigh, looks like I might fail again.”

Listening to the complaints below, Zhao Xuefeng waited until they quieted down, then said, ”Last semester’s finals and this semester’s midterms, ninety-three percent of students scored above eighty. The passing rate is very high; it’s the result of everyone’s efforts. Instead of worrying, you should feel the task isn’t heavy.”

”Having interacted with you all for a year, I understand you. I can’t speak for other subjects, but for mine, everyone’s absorption is quite good. Eighty isn’t difficult. Don’t hear eighty and think it’s a lot. My high standard and strict demands aren’t just for flashy final paper scores, but to solidify your fundamentals for after graduation. Eventually, you’ll face exams harder than this one with an eighty. To give up halfway leads to no success; perseverance leads to excellence.”

Despite not using a megaphone, Zhao Xuefeng’s voice was extremely clear and resonant. After this speech, the classroom’s complaining ceased, and disheartened looks turned into ones filled with determination.

Lin Tian suddenly felt that if teachers went into multi-level marketing, they’d probably be quite successful...

Just then, Lin Tian noticed Zhao Xuefeng looking at him with surprise and gratification, even smiling slightly with a lip curl.

Then, Zhao Xuefeng shifted his gaze from Lin Tian and said, ”Everyone, look at the big screen, I’ll present some cases today...”

A college class spans ninety minutes, with five minutes for breaks. Though it may seem long, it goes by quickly. Zhao Xuefeng explained each case in depth and detail, every one was straightforward yet filled with knowledge; attentive listening allowed one to retain a lot.

Lin Tian questioned himself, if he were to present, he’d definitely lack Zhao Xuefeng’s skills.

After class there’s a fifteen-minute activity period before the next session. Zhao Xuefeng wanted to chat briefly with Lin Tian, but right after announcing the end of class, students flocked over for questions.

Seeing the scene, Lin Tian found it amusing; sometimes being too popular meant less freedom.

Liou Qingcheng tugged on Lin Tian’s sleeve, asking, ”What are you laughing at?”

”Nothing, I’m happy for the teacher, he’s so well-liked.” Lin Tian replied with a smile.

During class earlier, Lin Tian wanted to make some subtle gestures with Liou Qingcheng, quietly sneaking some whispers, but unexpectedly, she was seriously listening with low-prescription glasses, and taking notes, almost forgetting that her boyfriend sat beside her.

Curiously, Lin Tian took Liou Qingcheng’s notebook and found it almost filled.

Last year, nearing the college entrance exams, Lin Tian borrowed Liou Qingcheng’s notebook; now, holding this one, he saw the familiar neat handwriting, clear and orderly.

Lin Tian recalled that in last year’s notebook, there were dancers drawn by Liou Qingcheng, expressing her love for dance through a small detail.

Flipping through more pages, Lin Tian felt somewhat disappointed not finding the familiar dance sketches, suddenly feeling something was missing.

Liou Qingcheng noticed Lin Tian’s peculiar expression and asked curiously, ”What are you looking for?”

”Hmm...” Lin Tian hesitated, not answering, but instead, took a pen and seriously began to draw in the blank on the first page of the notebook.
