The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1270: Chapter 1270: Equity Transfer

At the three card skill arenas, a total of one hundred and eighty-six people involved in the case have been arrested, from managers to croupiers to waiters. Subsequently, two senior and two mid-level employees from the Wang Group were caught, and now they are all detained at the Inspectorate in Kanyue City.

In recent days, everyone, even the waiters, could not avoid being taken into the interrogation room, going through several rounds of questioning a day, if they weren’t scared to death, they were exhausted.

Those interrogating them included police officers and people from the Security Management Institute, among whom were expert interrogators, conducting psychological and all-encompassing questioning. The case is progressing quickly.

Because the case is so large, the authorities have given them only a week to solve it. Today is already the sixth day. Although much progress has been made, many things remain unclear, such as Wang Daoran of the Wang Group. He is surely highly implicated with the three card skill arenas and the drug trafficking, yet no matter how they interrogate, they couldn’t gather any evidence, which has frustrated the police.

And these days, the Wang Group is also in turmoil, as if there’s enormous pressure within the company. People are afraid to even raise their voices, and many projects have been temporarily halted. No one knows if the group can weather this crisis.

The Secretary knocked again before entering Wang Daoran’s office, emotionless, and said, ”The person hasn’t been found.”

”Keep looking!” Wang Daoran said with a heavy voice.

Regardless, before the Wang Group falls, Wang Daoran remains a successful entrepreneur, a business giant with a vast network. As soon as people were arrested, he was immediately informed.

Before yesterday, Wang Daoran didn’t care who was involved. What he cared about was whether he would be dragged into it. Later, he discovered that among those one hundred and eighty-six people, one was missing: A manager at the card skill arena—Zhang Ya’Er!

Wang Daoran had never visited the card skill arenas, but he knew who sat in them. Take Zhang Ya’Er, for example, she was a woman who grew up in the card skill arenas, originally mixing well at the East Continent Card Skill Arena, before being recruited by the Wang Family. Apart from her outstanding card skills, she also managed the exchange of funds.

This woman disappearing at such a critical juncture, how could it not be unsettling?

That’s why Wang Daoran had people searching for her all along, yet she remained untraceable.

What Wang Daoran feared most was that this woman might be holding some leverage and was controlled by Lin Tian... just thinking about that consequence made beads of cold sweat appear on his forehead.

Suddenly, the phone on the table vibrated with a ’buzz buzz,’ adding to his irritation.

When Wang Daoran picked up the phone and saw the words ’Missy’ on the screen, he dared not delay and answered the call immediately.

”Missy... It’s me... What? Twelve percent? Has that boy gone mad? ...Yes, I understand... Alright... I’ll have someone draft the contract right away.”

After hanging up, Wang Daoran slumped back in his chair, holding up his phone as if wanting to smash something to vent his frustration, but ultimately he held back; destroying things now would make him look foolish.

From the call, he could tell Missy was cold between the lines; she had surely faced a lot too. But this twelve percent stake... that’s real money!

Missy said earlier, ’Spend money to dodge a disaster.’

But isn’t this expense too great?

This twelve percent stake, a free transfer. Usually, a free transfer requires company shareholders’ consent to be legally upheld, or else other shareholders can nullify the transfer.

However, eighty percent of shares in the Wang Group are held by Wang Daoran and the Ancient Martial the Wang Family, with the remaining twenty percent belonging to contributors to the Ancient Martial the Wang Family. With the share transfer mentioned by Wang Sijing over the phone, naturally, those issues don’t need to be worried about—transfer directly. Lin Tian just needs to pay twenty percent capital gains tax.

...

The ’Equity Transfer Agreement’ was brought by Secretary Zhou and placed on the desk within ten minutes. In duplicate, black and white, totaling eight pages.

Flipping through these thin eight pages, Wang Daoran felt very conflicted. Frankly, he didn’t want to sign! After all, it was him who killed Wang Sicong!

While Wang Daoran was lost in thought, the landline on the desk suddenly rang. Upon answering, a female voice was heard: ”Chairman, there’s a gentleman named Lin Tian who says he has something to discuss with you.”

Damn, isn’t this a bit too urgent?

Wang Daoran secretly cursed in his heart, then spoke into the phone: ”Let him come up!”

Soon, Lin Tian, dressed in casual wear, found the ’Chairman’s Office’ and pushed the door open, sitting boldly in the guest chair, lounging with legs crossed and smiling.

Behind Lin Tian stood a woman in high heels, dressed in a professional outfit, wearing glasses—a lawyer—who also unceremoniously sat on another chair.

Lin Tian smiled and said, ”Mr. Wang’s airs are quite large, requiring announcements even for meetings.”

Looking at Lin Tian seated before him, Wang Daoran felt this person was a shameless dupe, especially considering this guy killed his son, Wang Daoran’s heart couldn’t calm down.

”Twelve percent, you dare to ask for it, aren’t you afraid of choking on it?” Wang Daoran said coldly, looking at Lin Tian’s face.

”Hey, I have a pretty good appetite, why not make it twenty percent if you want to try choking me?”

Lin Tian squinted with a smile. Then he noticed the ’Equity Transfer Agreement’ on the table, his eyes lit up instantly. He took it directly and, after skimming through a few pages, handed it to the lawyer behind him, saying: ”Check if there’s any issue.”

”Okay.” The female lawyer took over the contract, focused on flipping through it. In no time, she finished reviewing it and placed it back in front of Lin Tian, saying: ”No problems, you can directly fill in your name in the ’Transferee’ section.”

”Hehe, alright.”

Lin Tian took the pen handed by the lawyer, filled in both copies, and placed the contract in front of Wang Daoran, saying: ”Your turn.”

Wang Daoran looked at Lin Tian, feeling even more conflicted; a dupe is just a dupe!

He snorted lightly and, not wanting to entangle with Lin Tian further, picked up the pen and began writing fervently. After finishing, he took out a seal, stamped it, then pressed his hand on it, and stared at Lin Tian with anger, saying: ”Sicong’s revenge I will remember, one day I will personally kill you!”

Wang Daoran’s face was full of hostility, eyes bloodshot, instinctively grabbing the pen he had just signed with, seemingly wanting to use it as a dagger to pierce Lin Tian’s heart.

The lawyer sitting on the side was shocked; Wang Daoran’s appearance at this moment truly resembled a deranged murderer!
