The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1288: Chapter 1288: Emergency Room

There is an emergency medical point established within the Black Gold Security Company, inherited from the previous Xianglong Tea House. Given the company’s unique nature, they often have to deal with knife wounds, scrapes, or even gunshot wounds. Treating such injuries on their own turf is safer and more reassuring, and the costs are relatively lower.

This medical point can handle ordinary knife wounds and traumas without any issues, and the doctors are professional-grade with many specialized medical devices available.

Bai Shishi had invested a lot of money here before, and now that the medical point is set up inside the Black Gold Company, many new pieces of equipment have been added, making it comparable to a private clinic, at quite a cost.

Zhang Ya’Er’s knife wound was extremely severe, and it was too late to send her to nearby hospitals, so she was brought to the company’s medical point.

Lin Tian didn’t know how deep the earlier stab wound was or if it had injured Zhang Ya’Er’s spine. But at the moment, the priority was to treat the wound and then perform a blood transfusion.

Watching Zhang Ya’Er being wheeled into the operating room, Lin Tian hesitated but decided not to go in. It wasn’t that he didn’t care about her, but inside there were professional surgeons and nurses, and there wasn’t much he could do. He had already done all he could before, and the large output of Spiritual Qi had left his Sea of Qi somewhat depleted.

As the medical point was specifically established by Black Gold, there was a waiting room set up outside the operating room where doctors and family members of patients could rest and have some water.

Lin Tian sat on the sofa in the waiting room, frequently glancing nervously at the operating room door. Feeling annoyed, he wanted to smoke, but his pockets were empty. He then remembered that he left his cigarettes in the car.

Wu Yong sat next to Lin Tian and instantly knew what he wanted to do just by observing his actions. He pulled out a cigarette from his pocket and handed it over. Li, sitting next to Wu Yong, also took one.

Silently, the four of them smoked, and Lin Tian frowned without saying a word. Wu Yong and Li wanted to ask questions but felt it was inappropriate to do so at that moment.

Lin Tian noticed what they were thinking right away. After taking a drag of his cigarette and blowing out a smoke ring, he said, ”If you want to ask something, just ask. Why hold it in?”

Wu Yong chuckled, glanced at the operating room door, and asked, ”That... seems like the hot chick we met in the gambling den, right? I remember she sliced off two people’s fingers without even flinching.”

”Yes, it’s her.”

”I thought so. I remember she didn’t surrender herself....” At this moment, Wu Yong suddenly realized something, slapped his thigh, and said, ”I get it! I was wondering why that chick would turn herself in, realizing now it was your plan all along.”

Li was listening on the side, completely confused by their conversation.

Usually quiet and introverted, Li was feeling nosy, looked at Lin Tian, and asked, ”That chick inside, you and her...?”

Stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, Lin Tian slowly replied, ”It’s not the kind of relationship you think. Today was only the second time I met her, so barely friends.”

After a pause, Lin Tian added, ”Oh, right, Li, I should introduce her to you. The beautiful lady being treated inside is the assistant I found for you.”

”What? My assistant?” Li pointed to his face, incredulous, as he looked at Lin Tian.

Lin Tian nodded assuredly and said, ”She looks good, has a great figure, is intelligent, and emotionally astute. Totally trustworthy.”

Li was speechless for several seconds, pursed his lips, and said, ”You’ve said so much but not what she can do. What school did she graduate from? What’s her major?”

”This, I don’t know yet...You’ll have to discover it yourself. Of course, teach her properly when necessary.”

Li rolled his eyes twice, pondering, and said, ”What do you mean? So you found me a rookie who can’t do anything? And now she’s injured? No, no, you’ve got to find me another one!”

Lin Tian was amused and chuckled, ”Am I someone unreliable? I’ve assessed this person; she’s definitely not ordinary. Try using her first, and if you’re not satisfied, we’ll talk then. Besides...do you have anyone else to use other than her?”

”...” Li opened his mouth, wanting to refuse, but after thinking it over, he kept silent. Just as Lin Tian said, he had no one else to work with, and it was better to observe her first. If she was truly unfit, he would have to switch, as good-looking women with great bodies aren’t that rare.

Wu Yong patted Li’s shoulder, chuckling, ”I’ve seen this woman, she’s absolutely not ordinary, quite fierce! I’m actually worried if you, this gentlemanly beast, can keep her under control.”

”Go, go, go, that’s my assistant. My words will still carry weight, won’t they?” Li muttered grumpily.

At this moment, Tian Ming walked in with heavy steps. Lin Tian immediately stood up, looked at Tian Ming, and asked, ”How about it? Have you caught the guy who got away?”

Tian Ming shook his head and said, ”The other side has anti-surveillance capabilities, avoided the surrounding cameras, and even covered his face when in the monitoring area. Nobody knows where he went next.”

Tian Ming was referring to the person who stabbed Zhang Ya’Er and then escaped. Tian Ming had gone to search for him but came up empty-handed.

”What about the other one? The one who passed out in front of the Benz.”

Tian Ming said, ”He’s already been detained. The doctor said he has a moderate concussion that may cause some brain function damage, like memory loss, lack of concentration, or slowed reactions. I wanted to have him interrogated right away, but the doctor said waking him up now might worsen his condition.”

Lin Tian was shocked, his mouth slightly agape. He hadn’t anticipated things would develop this way. ”I just knocked his head against the car, and he has a moderate concussion? His head must be made of gold!”

Lin Tian wanted to ask, ”Really?”, but seeing Tian Ming’s serious expression, he knew it would be useless to ask.

Now worried, hoping that the foreign guy won’t really get amnesia, that would be a nightmare.

Although Spiritual Qi is powerful, it has its limits. In dealing with the human brain, it’s helpless. If things went wrong and he turned into an idiot, that would be even worse.

”So we’ll wait for him to wake up, and make sure to catch the one who got away! A Qing Continent guy with an injured right shoulder shouldn’t be too hard to find.”

”Understood.”

With that promise, Tian Ming walked out again, ever the brisk and efficient personality.
