The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man

Gu Jiaojiao looked up at Hu Xiuqiao, her voice calm.

”So, Teacher Hu just can’t stand seeing me with nothing to do!”

”In that case, why don’t you go to the principal, Teacher Hu? Report this to him and see what he has to say!”

Hu Xiuqiao grew even angrier. ”Go to the principal? Everyone knows he’s protecting you. I have no idea what tricks you pulled to get everyone on your side. You’re young and beautiful, so you must have...”

Gu Jiaojiao looked up, her gaze turning cold.

Another female teacher immediately cut Hu Xiuqiao off. ”Teacher Hu, don’t just spout nonsense because you’re overwhelmed. Teacher Gu isn’t that kind of person.”

’Her husband works right here. Where would Gu Jiaojiao even find the time to seduce the principal? What Hu Xiuqiao said was way out of line.’

Although the female teacher also disapproved, she couldn’t help but try to warn her when she saw the principal walk in.

But Hu Xiuqiao only grew more incensed.

”What? She can do it, but I can’t talk about it? Then you tell me, why is the principal helping her so much? Why is he giving her the responsibility of teacher recruitment? What has Gu Jiaojiao done to deserve such special treatment?”

”What?”

The other two teachers hadn’t heard about this. They were shocked.

Their eyes fell on Gu Jiaojiao, a shadow of doubt creeping into their expressions.

Seeing that the two women were no longer defending Gu Jiaojiao, Hu Xiuqiao was quite pleased with the bombshell she had just dropped.

She crossed her arms. ”You two must be surprised as well! Gu Jiaojiao has barely been at this school, yet the principal has already entrusted her with such an important task. Why? I can’t think of any reason other than her looks.”

The other two teachers were so stunned they couldn’t stop Hu Xiuqiao from continuing.

Once the words were out, the two of them could only sigh in resignation.

’We tried.’

But Gu Jiaojiao remained silent.

Hu Xiuqiao thought she had struck a nerve and instantly grew even more brazen.

Just then, a voice spoke from behind them. ”If you have questions, Teacher Hu, you can ask me directly. After all, I was the one who assigned the matter of teacher recruitment to Teacher Gu.”

Hu Xiuqiao froze. She turned to see the principal standing right behind her, his expression grim.

Hu Xiuqiao was speechless.

”Principal, that’s not what I meant, I...”

”Teacher Hu, you are a teacher. Slandering a colleague behind her back without a shred of evidence, speculating about her with such filthy thoughts... is that the kind of character you possess as an educator? You have disappointed me immensely.”

The principal was absolutely furious. He never imagined that one of the teachers at his school could be so despicable.

’Hu Xiuqiao was terrified. She had worked so hard to get this teaching job, even debasing herself with an old man to secure it. If she lost this job, what would all her sacrifices have been for?’

Hu Xiuqiao’s face went white. She scrambled to her feet and apologized to the principal.

”Principal, I’m sorry! That’s not what I meant. I—I just couldn’t stand seeing Gu Jiaojiao with nothing to do, so I spoke without thinking. I know I was wrong. I’ll never do it again, I promise! I’m so, so sorry.”

The principal’s expression didn’t soften in the slightest. ”Teacher Hu, I don’t think you are suited for this profession. A teacher’s job is to educate and nurture. Knowledge and character are equally important. Knowledge alone is useless.”

Her worst fears had come true.

Hu Xiuqiao’s greatest fear was being fired, and now the principal was telling her she wasn’t fit to be a teacher.

For a moment, Hu Xiuqiao nearly fainted.

But she dug her nails into her palm, and tears instantly streamed down her face. She even dropped to her knees before the principal.

”Principal, please, I’m begging you, don’t fire me! It wasn’t easy for me to get this job. I truly know I was wrong. I’ll never do it again, I swear! Please, just give me one more chance!”
