Chapter 281: Chapter 281: Rainbow Hero (2)

Chapter 281: Rainbow Hero (2)

The battle between Charizard and Entei did not result in a winner in the end.

The reason was that the commotion from Charizard and Entei’s battle was too great, and the Trainers searching for traces of Entei in the forest, like sharks smelling blood, all rushed over.

”Damn it, if we had known the Ash would encounter Entei first, we should have taken the initiative!”

”The Ash’s luck is too good; there’s nothing we can do about it, Meow!”

”...”

Having wandered in the forest for most of the day, the Team Rocket Trio regretted it after learning that Ash had encountered Entei shortly after leaving the Pokémon Center.

Meanwhile, due to the heavy rain, Ash had arrived at a cave with Sorrel and Seiko to take shelter.

”Mr. Ash, are you also here for the Sanctuary Beasts?” Sorrel asked, looking at Ash.

Ash shook his head: ”No, my goal is actually Ho-Oh. I know it’s on one of the mountains in the Raizen Mountains.”

He had already learned that both Sorrel and Seiko were Trainers who loved Pokemon, so there was no harm in telling them his goal.

”Ho-Oh?” Seiko was surprised, but thinking of the legends of Ecruteak City, she asked: ”Mr. Ash, hasn’t Ho-Oh disappeared for hundreds of years? Could there really be traces of it in the Raizen Mountains?”

Just as she finished speaking, a shadow appeared at the cave entrance.

The next second, Entei walked in, bringing a group of wild Pokemon with it.

Ash frowned slightly when he saw this situation.

He wasn’t frowning because of Entei, but because Goh, who could influence people’s mental states, had also followed.

He could clearly feel that hidden within Entei’s shadow was an Aura reaction on par with it.

Entei found a spot on its own and lay down, and the wild Pokemon that had followed it in naturally snuggled up beside it to get warm.

Seeing this, Sorrel sighed: ”In the face of nature’s power, humans and Pokemon are the same.”

”Come to think of it, there has always been a legend since ancient times that Ho-Oh bestowed life upon Entei. Since Entei exists, Ho-Oh should also exist. Ash’s information might actually be true!”

Seiko also spoke up: ”That’s true. I’ve been to Ecruteak City before, and stories about Ho-Oh and the Sanctuary Beasts have always been passed down there, and there’s even the Burned Tower as proof.”

”To tell you the truth, I only embarked on this journey to find Ho-Oh because I obtained this.”

Ash took out the Rainbow Feather.

”The Rainbow Feather?!”

Sorrel exclaimed in shock.

A pair of red eyes suddenly appeared on the wall behind Entei.

After Goh saw clearly that Ash was the person chosen by Ho-Oh, he silently slipped into Ash’s shadow.

”Pika?”

Pikachu’s mythical beast detection radar sensed something unusual, but when it looked over, there was only Ash’s shadow.

Just as it was puzzled, Ash patted its head and said: ”Pikachu, it’s fine.”

Ash was well aware of Goh’s methods.

The reason he let Goh follow him was that he had his eyes on him. The Sanctuary Beasts had divine duties, and he didn’t want to capture them, but Goh was a being without divine duties, and he was specifically there to test the Rainbow Hero.

So Ash felt it was necessary to capture this Goh.

Not for anything else, just to test his system to see if it would give him a Z-Crystal after capturing him.

If it did, that would be a huge profit. After all, Goh’s true ultimate move not only required learning Spectral Thief, but also required a special Z-move to activate.

As for Goh’s ability to influence mental states, Ash had Aura defense and didn’t need to worry at all.

After the rain, as soon as Ash and the others stepped out of the cave, they saw a rainbow hanging in the sky. At the same time, the Rainbow Feather in Ash’s pocket also emitted a colorful light.

Ash took out the Rainbow Feather and aimed it at the rainbow in the sky; a beam of rainbow light shot from the feather toward a certain place.

”That place...” Sorrel hurriedly used his phone to check the map. ”It really is the Raizen Mountains, Mr. Ash!”

”Yeah, do you want to come with me to see Ho-Oh?” Ash asked, looking at the two of them.

Hearing this, Seiko’s eyes lit up. ”Can we?”

Sorrel also showed an excited expression.

”As long as you have the time,” Ash said.

”That’s great!”

And so, Ash formed a three-person team again, and together they headed toward the Raizen Mountains.

After walking for a few days, the group set up camp by an unknown lakeside.

Late at night.

While Seiko was browsing through the footage recorded over these past few days on her phone, ripples inexplicably appeared on the lake surface.

She looked up and saw Suicune standing on the opposite shore of the lake, staring at her.

The moment their eyes met, Seiko’s mind went blank, and she completely forgot whether she should wake up Ash and Sorrel.

Of course, Ash didn’t actually need her to call him; he had already noticed it as soon as Suicune arrived.

He knew that Suicune actually just wanted to see if he had really embarked on the journey to find Ho-Oh.

The next day.

After Seiko told them about seeing Suicune last night, Sorrel was completely beside himself.

He had never seen a living Suicune before!

”Sorrel, don’t worry. The Sanctuary Beasts are Ho-Oh’s guardians; on the road to finding Ho-Oh, there will still be opportunities to see it again,” Ash comforted him.

”That’s true... By the way, there’s a town up ahead.”

Soon, the group arrived at a town.

While checking in at the Pokémon Center, Sorrel saw some ancient books stored on the side of the lobby, so he ran over to look for information about Ho-Oh.

Soon, he found a record about the Rainbow Feather in a book.
