Chapter 260: Guardian of Water City (6)

As the great change occurred in Alto Mare.

The great battle between Ash and Giovanni was also nearing its end.

Giovanni knew that his defeat was certain, so he gave up the idea of continuing to fight. After ordering Mewtwo No. 2 to release an Aura Sphere, he issued the command to withdraw.

Seeing Giovanni fleeing in disarray, Gary secretly thought, ”Ash and his Mewtwo are really abnormal!”

Ash looked at the sky and suddenly remembered the two brain-dead thief sisters, so he said, ”Gary, I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving first!”

After speaking, he quickly flew towards the Water Metropolis with Mewtwo.

”Hey...”

Gary came back to his senses, and Ash had already turned into a small black dot, but he quickly realized something was wrong, ”Ash is running so fast, could it be related to Latios and Latias?”

Thinking of this possibility, Gary pulled out his pants-unfriendly Aerodactyl and chased after him.

Back above the Water Metropolis.

Ash looked at the blocked street entrances and secretly thought, ”Damn it, those two idiots actually succeeded.”

Suddenly, a familiar bolt of lightning caught Ash’s attention.

”Mewtwo, go to the Grand Shrine and keep an eye on Latios, don’t let him do anything foolish. I’ll go find Pikachu and Latias.”

Mewtwo nodded, then flew towards the Grand Shrine.

Ash, on the other hand, searched for Pikachu and the others using Aura.

On a certain street.

Pikachu, with Eevee, was confronting an Aerodactyl, while Misty and Brock were pulling Latias, who was floating in the water, ashore.

Suddenly, Pikachu looked up at the sky and shouted, ”Pika Pika!”

The next second, two Aura Spheres flew over, fiercely blasting the Aerodactyl and the Kabutops that intended to ambush them into the water.

Ash descended from the sky, landing in front of them.

”Ash, you’re finally back. Latios was captured by those two women who were chasing Latias today, and now they are trying to control the power of the Soul Dew at the Grand Shrine,” Misty briefly explained.

Ash said, ”I know that. I’ve already sent Mewtwo to the Grand Shrine.”

Just a few seconds after he applied Natural Power to Latias, most of Latias’s injuries had recovered.

”Phew~ Ash, your luck is really good, you actually got there first!”

At this moment, Gary descended from the sky, riding his Aerodactyl.

”Gary, now is not the time to talk about this. You came at the right time. Please contact Officer Jenny and ask her to go to the Grand Shrine to apprehend the criminals who are endangering Alto Mare,” Ash requested.

Gary’s face darkened, ”Damn it, so I’m just here to run errands for you?”

Of course, Gary only complained verbally, but he was very obedient in his actions.

”Alright, let’s hurry to the Grand Shrine too.”

To save time, Ash also decided to stop being a human. He immediately took Misty and the others and used the newly unlocked Teleport skill.

With a whoosh, several people, along with a group of Pokémon, appeared outside the Grand Shrine.

As soon as they appeared, they were discovered by Oakley, who was operating the device. She manipulated the device to create a wave, intending to wash away Ash and the others.

Ash merely glanced at it, then used Teleport again, taking everyone inside the Grand Shrine.

When Lorenzo saw Ash and the others appear, he shouted, ”Ash, quickly stop them!”

Ash nodded, ”Mewtwo, stop this machine.”

Mewtwo descended from the sky, unleashing powerful Telekinesis, forcibly stopping the operating device.

However, the Soul Dew, which powered the device, had lost its original purity, becoming dark and murky, and the light it emitted had also turned black.

Seeing the machine stop, Annie, after confirming Oakley was fine, wanted to retrieve the Soul Dew.

”Don’t touch that!”

Lorenzo saw it and quickly warned her.

Unfortunately, it was too late; Annie’s hand had already touched the Soul Dew.

”Oh no, when a person with ill intentions uses the Soul Dew, their mind will be corrupted, and without the Soul Dew, this island will also be lost,” Lorenzo’s voice became low.

Ash comforted him, ”Mr. Lorenzo, don’t worry, Alto Mare will not sink.”

”Latios, don’t move for now, I’ll treat you.”

After speaking, he applied the Natural Power buff to the injured Latios.

At the same time.

The seawater around Alto Mare began to recede wildly.

In just a few minutes, the seabed near Alto Mare was exposed.

Ash and the others walked out of the Grand Shrine and saw a giant wave approaching Alto Mare from a distance.

Latios and Latias exchanged glances, intending to fulfill their duty.

”Latios, Latias, don’t be in a hurry. This giant wave is not something you can easily calm down in your current state,” Ash quickly said.

”Protecting Alto Mare is our responsibility, Ash,” Latios stated.

Latias said, ”My brother is right, Ash, we must fulfill our responsibility.”

”I’m not stopping you, but I’m coming with you. Listen to me, I have a way to calm this tsunami without sacrificing anyone,” Ash explained.

”Pikachu, Eevee, you two stay with Misty. I’ll be back soon.”

Ash released his Lugia, then, with Mewtwo, Latios, and Latias, charged towards the tsunami.

Arriving before the tsunami, Ash also released Ancient Alakazam and Rayquaza.

”Rayquaza, first use your ability to slow down the tsunami’s progression.”

Rayquaza nodded. After completing its Mega Evolution with Dragon Ascent, it stirred up a super strong storm to slow down the tsunami.

”Latios, Latias, please lend me your Psychic-type power.”

After holding the title of Ocean’s Child for so long, Ash had only enjoyed the benefit of underwater breathing while diving. Now, he finally had the opportunity to borrow the power of ocean currents. To avoid collapsing from exhaustion, he could only borrow power from Pokémon, just like when using Natural Power to restore the environment.

Although the red and blue airplane siblings didn’t know what Ash was up to, seeing Lugia, Mewtwo, and Ancient Alakazam all comply, they had no choice but to follow suit.

There was no other way; Ash’s Pokémon were all more powerful than them.

With the energy infusion from several Psychic-type Pokémon, Ash activated the title to borrow the power of the ocean currents, performing a ’pulling the rug from under’ move on the great tsunami, guiding a large amount of seawater to dissipate in other directions.

When the tsunami finally reached Alto Mare, only two to three-meter high waves remained.
