Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 616: Chapter 616: Although it’s a bit early, it’s better than being late.

Daisy Grant was dressed in a skirt. As she approached the car where Dawn Sutherland stood, a handmade suit with a faint scent of men’s cologne was draped over her shoulders.

Daisy couldn’t help but show a warm smile, leaning against the car hood, slightly tilting her head to look at the person standing next to her in the same position. ”Second Brother, being at the Sutherland Family tonight, did that make you unhappy?”

Dawn took a draw from his cigarette and exhaled a swirl of smoke, his expression becoming deep and inscrutable. He paused for a moment, then replied lightly, ”No worries, I’m used to it.”

Watching his smoking gestures and hearing his light words, Daisy felt a twinge of pain in her heart. She pressed her lips together, then spoke in a light-hearted tone with a teasing note: ”Second Brother, if you keep smoking, I’ll take photos of you smoking and show them to your future girlfriend, telling her you love smoking so she won’t marry you.”

Dawn’s action of smoking stopped for a moment, and Daisy’s lighthearted teasing voice brightened his mood a bit. Seeing Daisy’s gaze stopping at the cigarette in his fingers, her eyebrows slightly knit, Dawn immediately stubbed out the cigarette, responding to Daisy’s playful comments with a gentle smile, his face maintaining a serious look: ”Then I won’t smoke, in case you tattletale.”

Seeing Dawn cooperatively extinguishing the cigarette, Daisy beamed brightly and reached out her fair fingers to hand over a gift, ”Second Brother, here’s a reward for being so amenable. It’s for you.”

Dawn was a bit surprised as he turned his head to look at Daisy. Daisy met his gaze, smiling brightly, her voice clear and pleasing: ”Second Brother, your birthday is coming up in a few days, so I’m giving you your birthday gift in advance. Second Brother, happy birthday, open it and see if it suits your taste?”

Daisy’s radiant smile dazzled Dawn, and his fingers trembled slightly as he held the gift box, slowly opening it. A delicate watch came into view, luxurious and elegant, from a top international brand. Dawn’s gaze immediately fell back on Daisy.

Daisy smiled with her lips pressed together, her voice as clear and beautiful as a silver bell: ”Second Brother, happy birthday. Although it’s a bit early, it’s better than being late.”

Dawn gave a faint smile, a light warmth in his eyes sharply contrasting his previous nonchalant demeanor: ”Thank you, Daisy, you’re the only one who remembers my birthday every year and gives me a gift in advance. I’ll forever cherish this thought in my heart.”

Every year, a few days ahead of his birthday, he would receive the first gift from Daisy, and on the birthday itself, Daisy would give him another gift.

He once asked Daisy why she gave him two gifts, and her answer was something he could never forget.

Back then, Daisy had said with a charming smile: ”Second Brother, your mom is not here anymore. The first gift is from me in her place because every child’s birthday is something a mother would remember in advance, simply because children are their parents’ treasures. So, Second Brother, consider the first gift as from your mom. I want you to feel the warmth that others have. The second gift, given on the birthday itself, is from me, and Second Brother, you must treasure my gift well!”

While lost in past memories, Daisy’s voice sounded again: ”Second Brother, tonight’s stars are especially bright, even brighter than the shooting stars we saw that night on the beach.”

Dawn turned his head, watching the person next to him gaze up at the starry sky. Under the splendid starry sky, the young girl looking up was even more dazzling, her brilliant smile like blazing sunlight that unexpectedly shone into his heart.

Dawn’s heart was pounding intensely, seeing Daisy’s gaze always on the starry sky, his eyes daringly filled with deep affection and tenderness, looking at the person beside him.
