Chapter 610: Chapter 610: Airport Reception for Aidan Sutherland

After Daisy Grant finished speaking, she didn’t pause, instead turning away from Dawn Sutherland and quickly walking out of the cinema.

In the dimly lit cinema, Dawn Sutherland only sensed the unusual tone in Daisy Grant’s voice, not noticing the moment she turned away, tears streaming down Daisy’s face.

Dawn Sutherland stood between the seats in the cinema, the fragrance left from her passing still lingering at his nose, shaking his heart.

Dawn stood in place for a long time, remaining alone even after Daisy Grant left, before finally leaving the cinema by himself.

Meanwhile, Daisy Grant took a cab back to the underground parking lot of the International Shopping Centre where Lucky Restaurant was located, got into her own car, and glanced over at the wrapped gift sitting on her passenger seat, her eyes misting over.

Daisy Grant reached out and opened the gift box, revealing an exquisite watch, which she had planned to give her second brother as a birthday gift in a few days.

A watch also signifies ’time’; when a girl gives a boy a watch, it implies a confession, expressing ’I fancy you,’ meaning ’I like you.’

But now, how could she still confess?

In the cinema, she had momentarily lost her senses, intending to confess, but was interrupted by the ringing of her phone. Seeing Aidan Sutherland’s name felt like a harsh slap across her face!

She was Aidan Sutherland’s fiancée, soon to be the eldest daughter-in-law entering the Sutherland Family, the nominal sister-in-law of her second brother, and was supposed to maintain a sister-in-law relationship with him, yet she had the audacity to plan to confess to her second brother?!

Daisy Grant placed the watch into the drawer in front of her car, shut it, never glancing at it again, and stepped on the accelerator, driving out of the underground parking lot.

Daisy Grant drove, wandering alone through the streets of City C.

Meanwhile, Dawn Sutherland also drove absent-mindedly, slowly navigating the streets of City C.

In bustling City C with its endless stream of cars, two deeply buried loves, and two people who couldn’t speak their love, feelings of sadness and heaviness filled their hearts, while a bitter smile played at their lips.

When Dawn Sutherland returned to the Sutherland Family’s subsidiary to handle the final handover matters, his secretary, Little Cox, walked into the office.

”Second Young Master, President Sutherland asked you to go to the airport at around six today to pick up our company’s VIP client, President Forest, and to ensure everything goes smoothly.”

Dawn Sutherland nodded, ”Okay.”

Little Cox walked out, and Dawn Sutherland was busy for a few hours before he had some free time, glancing at the watch on his wrist.

The time was almost right; he could go pick up President Forest.

Dawn Sutherland took his car keys to the company’s parking lot and set off for the airport.

Dawn arrived at the airport, parked his car, and checked the flight information for President Forest’s plane. There were no delays, so Dawn patiently waited at the airport for President Forest.

His gaze inadvertently caught two figures not far from the airport, and his eyes shifted, fingers becoming stiff at his sides, the gaze carrying a heavy sense of pain.

There stood two people—one was his half-brother, Aidan Sutherland, who had just returned from abroad, and the other was the person he liked, who was also his prospective sister-in-law—Daisy Grant.

It seemed Daisy Grant was there to pick up Aidan Sutherland upon his return.

Daisy Grant had arrived ten minutes earlier to meet Aidan at the airport. She waited for a while before seeing Aidan pulling a suitcase coming out of the VIP channel, wearing a white shirt, khaki casual pants, and sunglasses on his face, looking confident and spirited.

Standing still, Daisy Grant gazed at Aidan with plain and calm eyes, her expression extremely steady, without a hint of excitement for welcoming her boyfriend back from abroad.

Aidan approached, a smile spreading across his face, speaking gently: ”Have you been waiting long? Daisy, I’m so thrilled you came to pick me up. I brought you a gift.”

Daisy Grant looked calmly at Aidan in front of her: ”Let’s go back, Aunt Sutherland is waiting for us for dinner.”

As Daisy Grant turned to leave, Aidan grabbed her wrist. Daisy turned back, looking deeply at Aidan.
