Chapter 609: Chapter 609: Second Brother, Actually I Like.....

Dawn Sutherland looked at Daisy Grant’s somewhat conflicted expression, slightly puzzled.

What does Daisy want to say? Does she want to tell him why she’s unhappy today?

Daisy Grant’s eyes gazed at Dawn Sutherland, her eyes deep and silent for a moment, and when her voice sounded again, it was filled with extreme tension, and she spoke somewhat haltingly, ”Big brother--- I actually----” Daisy nervously clenched the hem of her skirt, her cheeks blushing deeply, ”Big brother, actually I like----”

Before she could say the word ”you,” the phone in her bag suddenly blared, making Daisy’s body tremble violently, and she snapped back to reality, interrupted by the ringtone.

Only then did she realize that after watching this movie, she almost made an irreparable mistake!

Daisy Grant, what are you doing? Do you want to confess to your big brother? If you really said it, you might not even be able to be friends with him anymore!

Daisy Grant, are you seeking death? Do you want to sabotage your own happiness? Even if you do, don’t make it difficult for your big brother! In his heart, you’re like a sister-in-law, a sister. You could never be romantically involved! With Aidan Sutherland between you, there’s no way big brother would ever choose to be with you!

Daisy Grant, you’re totally foolish!!

With these thoughts, Daisy’s gaze became extremely flustered. She looked away from directly facing Dawn Sutherland, quickly digging her phone out of her bag. It was a message, and the sender was ”Aidan Sutherland,” which made Daisy’s body shudder even more violently.

”Daisy, I’ll be in City C in four hours. Hope to see you at the airport, I brought you a gift.”

After reading the message, Daisy’s face turned a bit pale. She quickly stood up, grabbed her bag, and headed outside, her vision so blurred with panic that it was almost unclear.

”Daisy, what were you going to say just now?” Dawn Sutherland followed her as she got up, asking gently.

”Big brother, nothing---- nothing---- Let’s go.”

Saying this, Daisy walked out hurriedly and chaotically. In the dimly lit theater, she accidentally banged her knee on a chair, letting out a low groan of pain.

Immediately, Dawn Sutherland stepped forward, squatted by her side, and said in a low voice, ”Let me see, Daisy, slow down, the light is very dim here.”

Dawn Sutherland took out his phone to illuminate, squatting in front of Daisy Grant to check her injury. Her fair knee was visibly red, so prominent, and Dawn’s eyes flickered. His voice was gentle, ”Be more careful, Daisy, I’ll go buy you an ointment in a bit.”

Daisy’s body quivered briefly, and she shook her head hastily, ”It’s nothing, big brother, no need, the movie is over, let’s go!”

Dawn Sutherland stood up, his gaze on Daisy Grant, ”What’s wrong? Do you have something on your mind? Can you tell me?”

What kind of message made Daisy so flustered? She clearly had something prepared to say to him, why did she suddenly say nothing, and even sounded so panicked?

”Big brother... Did you know Aidan is coming back today?” Daisy’s voice was slightly hoarse.

Dawn Sutherland paused for a moment and replied in a deep voice, ”I know.”

This morning, Selah Sutton called him, with a cold tone, asking him to come home for dinner tonight to welcome Aidan Sutherland back.

How could he not understand Selah Sutton’s intention? It was to show this illegitimate child what a real Sutherland heir looks like, what a true Sutherland heir means, and that inviting him home for dinner was merely a power move, warning him not to think about competing for the Sutherland family assets.

Because he, Dawn Sutherland, was not qualified to compete with Aidan.

While Dawn Sutherland was silent, Daisy Grant opened her mouth, her voice even more hoarse, ”Big brother, I’ll go first, goodbye.”
