Chapter 611: Chapter 611: Dawn Sutherland felt sharp blades piercing straight into his heart

Aidan Sutherland leaned in closer to Daisy Grant, a smile playing at the corners of his eyes and mouth, suddenly lowering his head slowly towards Daisy’s cheek.

The approaching Aidan bore a malevolent kind of aggression, and Daisy instinctively retreated, wanting to avoid Aidan’s kiss, but Aidan grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer to him. Daisy’s fingertips grew stiff, her brow furrowed, showing both unease and displeasure on her face.

Aidan’s approaching face caught sight of her displeasure, and he paused slightly, his thin lips initially aimed for her cheek instead landed gently on Daisy’s forehead.

As soon as his kiss touched down, Daisy immediately took two steps back, digging her fingertips into her palms, her expression and tone both indifferent, ”Let’s go back and eat, we shouldn’t keep everyone waiting.”

The Sutherland Family’s banquet to welcome Aidan home, Selah Sutton would surely inform her second brother, and right now, she only wanted to hurry back to the Sutherland Family under the pretense of the welcome banquet, but in truth, just to see her second brother a few more times.

Having said that, Daisy turned and left, her heart rejected Aidan’s light kiss.

By intentionally avoiding his kiss, Aidan’s eyes turned a shade deeper, watching Daisy’s faintly retreating back, Aidan pressed his lips together, his brows showing a glint of sharpness and determination.

”Daisy, now that we’re back, the first priority is to get married. You’re mine, Daisy. I will make you aware of this until you fully accept it.”

Aidan collected himself before striding quickly to catch up with Daisy, draping his arm over her shoulders, walking with her side by side, a self-satisfied smile spread across his face, radiating with vitality.

Daisy’s body shuddered slightly when Aidan drew near, but she couldn’t just push him away.

Aidan was her fiancé, and such behaviors were most normal between couples. Just now, she’d already hurt Aidan’s pride, letting his kiss merely graze her forehead. If she pushed Aidan away now, he’d surely be displeased, and once back at the Sutherland Family, the rift between them would certainly be noticed.

She and Aidan’s union was a political marriage, not a simple matrimony. No matter how unsatisfactory things were internally, at least on the surface, they had to maintain a respectful demeanor.

Everything that had just happened at the airport not far away was seen by Dawn Sutherland. Aidan kissed Daisy, and then the two stood side by side, with Aidan wrapping his arm over her shoulder. These actions were all noticed by Dawn.

Every move Aidan made, every moment of their interaction, pierced like sharp blades straight into Dawn’s heart.

”Young Master Sutherland.”

As Dawn was lost in thought, a large client, President Forest, who had just come out from the VIP passage, approached, smiling and greeting him.

Dawn immediately came back to his senses, extending a hand to President Forest with a polite smile: ”President Forest, welcome to City C.”

President Forest shook Dawn’s hand with a smile, ”Thank you, Young Master Sutherland, for personally receiving me. President Forest is quite considerate. It’s always a pleasure to cooperate with the Sutherland Clan, and I hope this time is as harmonious as always.”

”We will do our utmost to ensure President Forest’s satisfaction. President Forest, this way, please. My car is parked at the airport’s outer lot.”

”Alright.”

Dawn led President Forest out to his car parked outside the airport, maintaining a polite and elegant smile the entire time.

Dawn unlocked the car, and President Forest’s personal secretary opened the rear door for him. Once President Forest was seated comfortably inside, Dawn got into the car himself.

Starting the car, Dawn’s gaze was fixed forward but inadvertently fell upon a red Porsche parked in a spot to the right. Dawn’s gaze deepened as he unconsciously peered into the red Porsche.

Seated in the driver’s seat was Aidan, while Daisy sat with her eyes lowered in the passenger seat, her head bowed, thus preventing Dawn from seeing her expression clearly.
